Alec absolutely despised long hallways. It took so long to get where you were going and they were always cold. He glanced down at his nametag, which clung to his black jacket in a way where it took weeks to get the little bits off. 'Acting Part of the Council Alex Hardimon.'
He was sure the front desk had something against him. Dresses very casually in a tee-shirt under the said jacket and jeans, the black-haired fourth incarnation of the Dark Lord thought he must be late for the council meeting. Darned long hallways. --------------------------------------------
"Ladies, gentlemen-" he took an exaggerated bow, "Rassilon."
People looked back at him from their perches in the enormous room. "I have a proposition, council," he claimed, "And it has to do with the Doctor..."
Alec was bombarded with quizzical looks from other members of the Council. "...And where his Tardis lands."
Immediately another stood up. "Surely you are not implying that we would do such a thing on a whim, as if the last time was to be repeated and-"
"No, of course not," a sly grin came to his face, "However, the planet is now in need of a new Big Crystal. We all know what could happen if this is left unchecked... We wouldn't want complete chaos now would we?"
"What are you suggesting?"
"I say we send him to New Splot, to replace their Crystal." he answered.
Rassilon appeared in deep thought, and discussion with two other Timelords. "It will be done." he said.
Alec stood up, another exaggerated bow. "Thank you, Lord President." he walked out the door.

After so many stories about the Singing Flowers of Veqqui, Sarah finally insisted that they go. Not one more errand, not one more fact finding mission, not another side trip to see some intergalactic phenomenon. Veqqui. She'd wheedled and wheedled for it, only to realize in the end that it had always been his plan to take her.
This had led to just a little bit of good hearted chase around the control column until she split off and dove into the wardrobe. It was going to be an easy, beautiful day. She came out fixing the second strap of her candy-striped cherry and white overalls, trainers comfortable on her feet. She came under the railing opposite him and leaned back against it, grinning, and terribly pleased with the day.

The Doctor had been planning to take his bright companion to Veqqui, to see the Singing Flowers. He had been planning it for awhile, but he found it amusing how she kept trying to get him to take her there. Of course there was other things prevented them from going straight there, sometimes the Tardis had a mind of her own when it came to destinations.
When he finally told Sarah Jane that he was going to take her there, and that he already planned to take her. She proceeded to chase him around the Tardis console for a bit, which he found very amusing, before heading to the wardrobe room.
The Doctor couldn't help but grin in anticipation as he began to set the coradinates to Veqqui, as she walked out of the room dressed in overalls and trainers.
"Ready Sarah Jane?" He asked as he finished the programing, and awaited her reply before setting off.
(ooc: and my mind has gone blank again. Sorry. If anything needs to be change, just let me know.)

She runs up to stand opposite him at the control column, grinning broadly, giving her lower lip a quick bite as she nods her affirmation with enthusiasm. Sarah Jane holds on to the rail ever so casually as the Doctor got the TARDIS fired up.
"Do they really sing in harmony? You're not just teasing me now are you, Doctor, she said, teasing him, her eyes full of sparky light challenge. "And you won't take me during the Rainy season. I want a sunny day, please, Doctor." She asked quite smugly, as if they were shopping for a condo together, or perhaps he was her chauffeur. She bet it was going to be a good day though, rain or shine.

"Sarah Jane, have I ever te-." The Doctor stopped himself from finishing that sentence. "They sure do, and of course it'll be a sunny day."
He grinned at her as they took off to there Destination.
After a few minutes, the Doctor frowned slightly.
"Sarah Jane, remember when I said that I was going to take you to Veqqui to see the Singing Flowers?" He asked as he appeared to be focusing on the console.

"Doctorrrr." She said, moving from railing to console to lean against it and stare at him access it. "I remember well, it was about ten minutes ago and I was standing right here. Do you remember? Singing flowers?" She watches him deep in the TARDIS controls a moment, and her teasing and pouting dissolve in a second.
"What is it?"

"What is it?" Sarah Jane asked after she had finished her teasing.
"Well we might have to take a quick detore." The Doctor looked up at her with a nervous glance. "Nothing to worry about, just have to do a simple, yet tedious task, for the High Council, because they can't find anyone else. Apparently..."
The Doctor really hated the fact that the Council of the Timelords had him on a leash. As if he was their pup, that they could call upon when they wanted him, or needed him. It was infuriating, and a complete pain.
He would rather go and show off the planets, and species, and other amazing things to Sarah Jane. However, once again, his plans were in fact put to a halt due to the Timelord's dependancy on him. The Doctor was beginning to see a pattern with his plan making and sudden urgencies and/or unexpectantcies that were often occuring in his life.

When Alec's Tardis landed on New Splot, he didn't even bother with going outside. He didn't like the surface, and he could simply do his work from in here. "...the trimodulator's connected to the spectics..." he sang to himself. He was bored, and he had to set up equipment to catching the Doctor.
Well, not actually the Doctor, though he would be quite the stepping stone. He was after Sarah Jane. Again. And this time, he praised himself for cleverness, she didnt have Susan, the only reason he'd left. No, she just had...her...grandfather... Suddenly he didn't seem so clever. But no matter, he could easily seperate the two when they got to New Splot. He had...other ways of handling the Doctor.
The Dark Lord felt no shame, he never did. He was messing up someone's personal timeline, and despite the unsuccessful first attempt, he was going to do it. He was going to kill Sarah Jane. Or mess up her timeline.

Her face fell at his words. It was not so much that they were not going to go to Veqqui today. The Doctor would take her there for sure. He wanted to go as much as she did. What she didn't like is when the High Counsel took away the Doctor's freedom, They used him like a tool, and it made her angry as few things did. Sarah Jane was not so much a woman's libber as a champion of freedom. Unrepressed and unrepressive freedom. The second part being key to the first. "Och, Doctor. It's alright. We have fun where ever we go don't we?." He had told her once that he could not take her to Galifrey, ever. She was suddenly frightened he was going to leave her behind. "Are we going to Galifrey, Doctor?" she asked, her voice a touch solemn no matter how she tried to keep it light.

"Och, Doctor. It's alright. We have fun where ever we go don't we?." She asked him, sounding a bit scare. "Are we going to Galifrey?"
The Doctor gave Sarah Jane a look of confusion. "What? No!" He laughed slightly. "My dear Sarah Jane, no we're not going to Galifrey. No. Where we're going is to New Splot. I just have to replace a crystal, then we can be on our way to Veqqui."
He gave her a reassuring smile, he had no intention of dropping her off anytime soon.
It didn't take long to land his Tardis down on New Splot. "Come along Sarah Jane a whole world awaits!" He grinned wildly before heading out the front doors.

Relief waved over her, and she was suddenly aware of how much she hated the idea of parting ways with the Doctor. Oh, sometimes when it was cold and frightening and someone hit her in the head, she thought about tea and crumpets at home, but it never lasted long. Now she knew she wasn't going to leave under her own steam any time soon. The the Universe and all the time it could hold was still her oyster. Their friendship and travels were pearl that soothed the irritating grain of her confined childhood.
"Hm. New Splot." She mused, thinking that if it was anything like the Splot she knew from earth, the most exciting thing they'd find would be a coin operated Laundromat with free pin ball games with each load. At least it would be an easy assignment, what danger could there be in New Splot, for goodness sake.
Out she went, a step behind the Doctor, grinning and ready for anything.

Alec smiled, a hint of malice in his eye as Sarah Jane and the Doctor stepped out of the Tardis. This wasn't going to go well for the Timelord and his companion. After heavy thinking, he had cleverly traveled one hundred year into New Splot's history and established "Kandie Strype" as the worst of the worst, a horrible thing religiously. And everyone knew how religious Splotians were.
Just as they stepped out of the Tardis, it disappeared behind them. The Tardis was gone, and the Doctor had no way of reaching it. Alec felt rather proud of himself.
Citizens of New Splot raced out to "greet" the two, baring "gifts" of spears and swords to capture them. This was going better than he'd imagined.

The Doctor grimaced when he saw his Tardis.. His Tardis! Disappear, and left them stranded. Also to top it off, the citizens of New Splot were proceeding towards them with a number of weapons. Why was it everytime he went somewhere, there was a trap involved somewhere along the lines.
"Well this was unexpected somewhat." The Doctor grinned at the angry Splotians. Obviously trying to lighten the mood while keeping a respectful distance away from the sharp objects. "What seems to be the problem?"

The welcoming committee did not surprise her over much. The TARDIS could be quite unsettling to the locals sometimes. The Doctor and she could always talk them down from whatever frenzy they were in. It was hard to fear a pitchfork when you'd been on the other end of a Dalek's eyestalk a time or two. They'd have this straightened out in a few minutes and be off to their task.
"Hello!" she said brightly to them with a wave.
The shock came when she felt a breeze to her back and turned to see the TARDIS gone. Mouth open in a perfect o of surprise, she turns back to face the people of New Splot, feeling slightly more on alert. She glanced at the Doctor's eyes to see him thinking quickly as well.
"Well this was unexpected somewhat."
"Somewhat." she agreed under her breath, facing the crowd beside him. "Run or talk?" she asked him, still quietly.
"What seems to be the problem?" The Doctor asked them with that certain nonchalance that amused her so, like a good parent trying to talk a kid out of a bathroom they'd locked themselves in having some snit. She felt better already. Once they were done with this bit, she could tell just by the freshness of the air and the sun pouring down that it was going to be a beautiful day in New Splot. She smiled at the New Splotians, for they didn't even know yet that they were probably about to make a new friend or two.

The Splotians were now surrounding the two, spears pointed in their direction. "Kandie Strype very bad juju!" yelled one of the savages.
Alec was dying with laughter, at the situation and how gullible the islanders were.
"We make big sacrifice! Throw in exploding mountian!" another one said.
This was going better than Alec had expected. He switched his monitor to see the statue erected in Sarah's honor, which showed her with her hands up in a monster-like way, over-sharp teeth bared.
The Timelord smirked. A little bit of heresy never hurt anyone. Not him at least.
