Canon:
Name: Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, later Madame d'Étiolles, later Marquise de Pompadour, also known as Reinette and/or Madame de Pompadour
Age: 37
Species: Human
Planet of Origin: Earth
Occupation: Time Traveler
Physical Description: Reinette is a petite woman, all soft curves and feminine features. She keeps her long, blonde hair pulled back, usually either in a bun or a ponytail of sorts. While she was still at Versailles, it was styled elaborately, but since she's started traveling, it's easier and more practical to keep it pulled back. Her complexion is pale and rosy but not prone to sunburn. Her face is very round, and her countenance is usally calm and always regal.
Her clothing style has had to change a bit since she left Versailles. Before, it was the elegant and extravagant style of the late eighteenth century. Unfortunately, while beautiful, the clothes are impractical. She has adjusted to wearing more modern clothing suited to running. She is especially fond of trainers and is still getting acclimated to wearing trousers.
Personality: Reinette is polite, intelligent, and deeply emotional. She is very talented at keping her emotions in control, always doing her best to maintain a cool head. She is seldom cold though, always royal in her manner. She detests violence and rude behaviour. As far as trusting people goes, Reinette has a strong sense of who she can trust and who she cannot.
History: (edited for time and space and compatibility, aka AU) Reinette was born Jeanne Antoinette Poisson in 1721. Her first visit from the Doctor came at the age of seven, in the middle of the night. A few months later, he appeared again, this time entering her bedroom and revealing the clockwork androids that would stalk her for most of her life. Reinette continued to grow, often dreaming (and daydreaming) of the Doctor, her imaginary friend, but had no sign of him for well over ten years. Much to her surprise, he appeared one day, once again through the fireplace. Seizing the opportunity, she kissed him, but had to leave all too soon for she was already running late for a lunch date with her mother. It would be more time before she saw him again. In the years between, she married, bore and lost two children, separated from her husband, fell in love with the king of France, and all the while, never forgot the Doctor. She began to wonder if he had been real at all, or a dream, when he came to her once more. He stayed with her a bit longer this time, looking into her mind (and she into his), before vanishing again. She met Rose, who told her of the future and the attack the androids would make, attempting to take her head to use as a main computer. From the room they sat in, she heard the future happening, and stepped through the window, despite Rose's protestations. Upon returning to 18th century France, she found herself forced to wait until the events she had heard occurred. The androids attacked on her 37th birthday, and nearly decapitated her. The Doctor came to her one last time, bursting through a mirror in the ballroom and severing the connection to the spaceship the androids were based on. The androids ceased to function, and the Doctor took her hand, now separated from his Tardis, his friends, and his old life. Reinette soon revealed to him that she had had her fireplace moved. The Doctor reconnected it to the spaceship, and managed to go back through again, this time taking Reinette along with him. Since then, they have traveled the universe, both together and separately, along with other companions.
