Gwen bit her lip as she looked at the blue box, and then back to the S.U.V. Obviously, these people knew more about the situation than Gwen did, but she hated to leave the supplies in the S.U.V.
"Just, give me a minute!" Gwen ran back to the S.U.V, and popped the trunk. She decided to bring an extra pistol, and one of the assault rifles, slinging it onto her back. Then, she had an epiphany.
"If it's alien technology it's sucking up..." Gwen muttered to herself, "Then all there is is good old fashioned human gadgetry." Gwen removed a secret panel in the trunk, and inside found a torch-like heavily wired gadget. "Sonic Modulator, thank you Tosh." Gwen stuffed the modulator into the inside of her jacket, and went back to the man and his blue box.
She smiled at the people, armed to the teeth. "Ready!"

The Doctor was a smart little man, but easily distracted. When he saw the weapons, he nearly flipped. "Oh my giddy aunt... No guns in my Tardis." he ordered.
He pointed his recorder at Gwen accusingly. "Sonic mod is good though." he assured her.

Sarah had put the lashing her hair was giving her to a stop with a quick do-rag, all the while wondering who exactly the one with the recorder was. Time Lord, she'd deduced, and at acquainted with the Doctor at least in passing. A Time Lord who had lost his TARDIS. Now, the Doctor had certainly had to wait for the TARDIS, and go fetch it a time or two, but to her knowledge he'd never actually lost it. Sarah felt slightly smug about that.
So far the only thing she liked about Gwen was her clothes. The woman could dress, and there was something to be said for that. She was glad though when the strange Time Lord blasted on his recorder and put a halt to the dithering. And, apparently, turned on a light in the Doctor's head. Sarah Jane missed whatever he'd figured out. She had not been paying much attention. She had been wondering what Botox was, and where she could get a belt just like Gwen's.
She smiled back at the Doctor as he offered her a Jelly Baby, and she plucked one from the bag. "Hm. Yellow." She remarked, popped it into her mouth. It was good. Then she was running full tilt for the TARDIS.

"Come on hurry up now, that's it." The fourth Doctor quickly ushered his younger self into his Tardis, closing the door behind them. "Now, let's go find out where this Vortex leads!"
He was grinning madly, as he hopped about the Tardis console. Trying to fly it into the vortex, finding it easier than he expected, considering it was sucking up alien technology. "Hold on everyone, this is going to be a bumpy ride."

Gwen was already relatively grumpy about having to relinquish her arms. Gwen muttered to herself, "If you want something done, you don't take weapons from a Welsh woman." After tossing her weapons on the sidewalk, figuring no one would pick them up as they'd be concentrated on the vortex in the sky, she walked into the blue box.
"Great, a big giant vortex appears in the sky, and I walk into a magical blue box that's bigger on the inside. Could my day get stranger?" She quickly regretted that thought though, knowing that, as a member of Torchwood, any day could get much weirder very fast. "Hold on everyone, this is going to be a bumpy ride." Gwen braced herself against the pylon in the center of the room, and prepared for take-off.

It absolutely tickled her to no end that the Welsh woman was required to leave her weaponry outside of the TARDIS. It was fun to watch her annoyance. However, the older woman gained some respect in Sarah Jane's eyes when she was, in fact, willing to drop everything to come aboard. Curious and perhaps brave. That was something. Sarah Jane could not help but enjoy watching someone who was seeing the inside of the TARDIS for the first time. She flashed a smile at her floppy hatted Doctor, knowing he enjoyed showing off the TARDIS as well, and seeing the wonder it provoked in people.
She flashed a smile at the other Doctor as well, wondering if he knew her yet, and absolutely fascinated by how all this may have come about. She did not know the Doctor could do such a thing. There was the smallest pang in her heart as she realized that out there somewhere was the Doctor she had first known and loved. And watched die. Would they ever meet again?
"I guarantee it will get stranger." She said, grinning wildly at everyone over the control column, getting over her earlier pique at the woman's disturbing greeting. The chase was on and Gwen was apparently on their side. For now it was enough. Sarah Jane held on tight.

Gwen looked over at Sarah Jane. This was Sarah Jane Smith, and it was her Sarah Jane Smith, but somehow she also wasn't. Gwen wasn't thick, she quickly deduced the whole time travel situation. But Sarah Jane hadn't seen something yet or hadn't done something yet; a milestone hadn't been passed that Gwen's Sarah Jane had. She was definitely younger, both physically and mentally.
Gwen thought to herself. "You know, she owes me an explanation as to why exactly she didn't say, 'Oh hi I know you from the past' when I met her at the mansion." Gwen did consider that for a moment though, absentmindedly staring at Sarah Jane. "Of course, I know her when she's older." Gwen kept thinking to herself, not really aware of what she was looking at. "Sarah Jane looked at me like I was mad earlier... so what if..." Gwen gasped and put her hand over her mouth. "Oh my god Sarah Jane must meet me when I'm old or something!" Gwen was now in a bit of a freak out mode, having a terrible visage of the beautiful and young Sarah Jane running after an alien, with a geriatric, white haired Gwen trailing behind at a snail's pace.
She shook her head, awakening from her daydream, realizing she was on a spaceship; in flight. It was pretty incredible. "So, do you people have a plan for this vortex thing, or are we flying blind?" Gwen looked around the room. "Mind you I suppose we were doing that from the start; this room isn't exactly airy, is it? Kind of sterile... like a hospital." Gwen looked a few feet to her left. "It could do with a bay window."

"So this is what the Tardis looks like these days," reasoned the younger Doctor, "I love what you've done with the place." Truth be told, it didn't look a lot different from when he had owned it, but there were some subtle changes.
No, he scolded himself, The Tardis still belongs to me and I will retrieve it. he owed it that much. Days like these when all was lost for him, he wished Zoe and Jamie were at his side. His faithful conpanions, with him through the dark times and the happier ones.
"If you want something done, you don't take weapons from a Welsh woman."
"And if you want something done correctly you don't run in a shoot everything in sight." he chided back.
"Hold on everyone, this is going to be a bumpy ride." his future self said.
The Doctor sat back in a chair, calmly grinning. "Is it ever not? Ah, Sarah Jane Smith, dear. I haven't seen you since last I met myselves. How's tricks?" he asked, standing and offering her his seat.

"Thank you, Doctor, but I'll stand and hold on." She said to the dark haired Time Lord, "If you think you can ride in this thing sitting down, you haven't gone for a fly with yourself lately. " She flashes a teasing smile over at her curly haired Doctor, then turns back to this soul friend she barely knows. "And it sounds like a spoiler, Doctor. Look closer, my friend I do not yet know, I think we are time looped."
A closer look will show she is barely out of her teens.
((P.S. Sarah Jane meets Second for the first time in 'The Five Doctors", which is when SJ is around 30))

The fourth Doctor grinned as he heard the welsh woman talk about the Tardis being bigger on the inside. He simply loved that! So much fun to watch and hear different peoples reactions.
"Thank you younger me. It's nice to hear that from myself, considering most of the time we don't normally get along with each other." He replied to his second incarnation's comment about his Tardis.
Looking over at the older woman, a huge grin plastered on his face. "More fun when you don't know where you going. Also this is only one room. There are several others down the halls and through out my Tardis."
The Doctor turned his attention back to the monitor, only to look back to his younger self. "So your version of the Tardis got sucked up into that vortex, right? It didn't get teleported or anything like that?"
He wanted to be sure of what happened before announcing what he was about to do.

Gwen watched the two funny men talk back and forth about this that and the other. It was like Jack and Tosh whenever they talked about quantum transducers or photostatic disrupters or whatever it was. So, she decided to have a little girl-talk with Sarah Jane.
Gwen walked around the pylon over towards the younger version of her red-haired friend. It was still pretty bizarre; the only experience Gwen had with time-travel was the ghost machine, and that didn't really count. That was more like looking at a really well done old photograph, but this was real. And it was made even stranger by the fact that Gwen wasn't out of her time, so somewhere over at Sarah Jane's house, there was an older version of her friend, probably trying to figure out the vortex as well! It was all very strange.
When Gwen came face to face with Sarah Jane, she found she was still a bit taller, which of course alleviated her stress about the age change between the two of them. "So, you're Sarah Jane." She looked at the young woman, smiling. "This is very early for you, isn't it? I don't suppose you have any better guesses as to what that vortex is, huh?" Gwen smiled even wider, her attractively gaped teeth showing. "Sarah Jane Smith. This is bizzare!"

Sarah Jane Smith 2011, Bannerman Road.
She watched the story unfold from Mr.Smith's readouts and listening to the news behind her. One handy thing about having been a time traveler was that she'd lived this day before. Knowing it was coming, her own Alien artifact carefully secured in such a way to avoid disaster. Even the central crystal that was the core of Mr.Smith was absent from this moment. She was watching the BBC feed, and some good old fashioned human radar and Emergency Response chatter on her Ham radio.
She was having chocolate crumpets and tea. She knew her part, and for exactly this moment, it's to stay the hell out of things and far away from her younger self.

Sarah Jane Smith 2011, the TARDIS
She ignored anything Gwen had to say about whatever time loop they had stumbled on. She didn't want to know for a variety of reasons, and simply chose not to think about it at all.
"You'd best put your thoughts to today and right now Gwen Cooper." She said, irritation quickly put aside for excitement and a broad smile coming to her face. She would also enjoy watching this Earther take her first spin with the Doctor. And two of them at that. "When you travel with the Doctor, you get all filled up with right now."

The Doctor sighed. "It dematerialized, as if controlled remotely." he answered.

"It dematerialized, as if controlled remotely." The Doctor's second incarnation answered.
"Well that narrows it down too..." He paused as he begun calculating the numbers inside his head. "Basically all of Gallifrey and any other creature with a Tardis controller. So we narrow that down to the number of those we know who'd want to do this to me... Well us... and then narrow that number down to those actually intelligent enough to pull it off."
The Doctor then fixed his hat as the Tardis decided to rematerialize on a unknown land. "Sarah Jane. I believe we've arrived."
His grin wider as he stepped towards the door, not even considering to look at the monitor.

"But where have we arrived?" She asked, quoting herself from many an occasion, this time with excitement. She ran over to Gwen, took her by the arm and started dragging her toward the door. However, she was fairly certain she'd need Gwen's co - operation. Where did a woman ever get muscles like that. Neither was their unexpected guest short.
"Come on, this is one of the best parts! We could be anywhere!" She flashes a smile at Gwen that is utterly fearless. In the next century, as they count it in London, Sarah Jane is not fearless, she is brave. In her future, she is often frightened, but acts anyway. In this time in her life, she is simply fearless. She is with the Doctor. She is startled sometimes, worried sometimes. The screaming seemed mostly involuntary. Surely she was occasionally anxious, but any time she could see the Doctor, she was not afraid. She is scrambling out the door at the heels of her curly haired Doctor, eager to see where they were.
As for the raven haired Doctor, she was a bit shy of him yet. She knew he was her friend, but also did not know her yet, and she was worried he would not be charmed by her. His thinking lines ran deep, and she had not yet seen him smile.
In the back of her mind, she realized she was, sometimes, afraid, but chose to forget about that. The good times more than made up for those frozen moments.
