Before Jack was able to respond to his time traveling friend, they were already running again.
"Oh we like them young, don't we Jack."
Well that wasn't entirely true, but also very right. "Well" he grinned while still dragging Izzy along "It's a bit hard to find someone my age" It was bloody impossible to find someone who was as old as him. Well, there might have been someone. But he was nowhere to be found.
Jack wasn't sure whether this 'Sarah Jane' was running with them because she had been trapped inside the house. Or if she was actually fighting the lupins with Gwen. But when the both of them worked together like an oiled machine he definetly decided that she was welcome at Torchwood.
One of the werewolves went down, shifting back to it's human form. "Right, well..that's one down.." He'd ask later how they had managed that. But right now the second one seemed to be a tad bit angry with their interferance.
"Gwen, I don't know how you turned that one...but can you do it again?" Jack didn't want to shoot anything if there was a plan to help. But judging by the pure anger in the lupin it's eyes, this wasn't going to be easy.

"I have a plan. This one, I think, is smarter and quicker than the other one. We only have one shot with that diamond, and I'm thinking it will most likely dodge it and then kill us. So get on the table and let me do what I do; fight aliens!" Gwen ran inside the dining room, leaving it to the others to get where she needed them. She grabbed a chair from the side of the old table, and placed it on the oaken plinth. This table was sturdy, but it wouldn't hold up to the werewolf, which was just what she needed.
Gwen climbed up onto the chair, and fitted the diamond into the very top of the chandelier, so it was being held aloft over the cascade of crystals that made up the light fixture. She clambered back down from the chair onto the table, and unceremoniously threw the old seat off the table. Gwen pointed to Jack and Izzy. "Boys, if you would, right behind me please." She looked over at Sarah Jane. "Sarah Jane, behind us, with your... lipstick torch or whatever it is. When that chandelier falls on that werewolf; take your shot." Gwen pulled her weapon from her waistband, and aimed it at the chain that held up the chandelier, waiting for everyone to take their assigned positions.

It was going to be one hell of a shot, but Gwen was right. She could see it going down just like that. She was quite find of both Izzy and Jack, not to mention her new chum Gwen. She knew each would go down before her, so was determined not to let that happen. She made her way quickly to the back of the line. She brandished her Sonic as the thing came lumbering and complaining their way. It wasn't at full speed, but it was fast enough.

"oh we like them young don't we Jack!" said Gwen
"I'll have you know miss cooper that I'm twice as old as you. I had an operation in the year 3465 to slow my biological clock. you know like Liz 10. that remind me i must give her a call. its been ages." Said Izzy helping to barricaded the Door
Izzy stood next to Jack, gun drawn. "Miss me?" he asked.
"Ready!" said Izzy as he drew his gun. he stood next to Jack ready to fire his last three cartridges at the beast. despite his youthful appearance he was quite deadly.

It was quite amusing to see Izzy defend himself again Gwen. Certainly when the both of them were absolutely brilliant. But right now wasn't the time for Jack to comment on that. His back pressed against the door, behind it a ferocious werewolf. And Gwen ready to play bait.
"You better be sure about this Gwen!" he yelled, the growling beast behind the door slamming it's weight into the door. The sound of cracking wood near scary as they stood behind it.
When Gwen requested them to stand behind her Jack was doubtful at first. He'd rather have himself play bait, he couldn't die anyway. But he had to trust his team to know their limits. And he trusted Gwen to do the right thing.
"Miss me?" Izzy always had this happy and teasing behavior, no matter what the situation. And he seemed to affect Jack, a smile spreading on his face before he grabbed his friend. "Always" he smiled and dragged him away from the door. Making sure they didn't stand in the way of the ongoing plan.

Gwen saw Izzy's gun drawn in her peripheries. Using her palm, she pushed his arm down from his wrist. "Oh put it away! We're trying to save it, not kill it!" Gwen shot a smile back at Sarah Jane. The semi-pacifist woman was definitely rubbing off on her.
Suddenly, in a flurry of wood shards, the door exploded with the force of the werewolf slamming in to it. It stood for a second, staring at the the three people. A drop of vile drool dropped from its mouth, and it flew towards them.
A single gunshot, and the chandelier began its plummet. "Sarah Jane! Now!" Gwen shouted, letting herself drop to the floor as fast as her body would let her.

She was ready, though the exploding door, the gunshot, and the angered Lupine shook her for just a heartbeat. She'd gotten up on a table, then down on one knee for stability. Everything went into slow motion, including the falling chandelier. which was good because it was not an easy shot in as the Diamond fell. Her own exhalation was the loudest thing in her ears due to her concentration. A single sound came from her as she found her path. The Sonic made no sound, no light, but a red beam came out of that Diamond, went into a crystal compacting into a useless white light, but when it hit the next one, it expanded again as she had hoped. This beam splashed over the creature, transforming even as it hurtled toward them all.
Her focus was too tight to see what happened to Gwen, even to tight to pay any attention to how close she was to the path of destruction. She trusted Jack and Izzy to not let it reach her. Though even if it had, it might not have been too much trouble. He was a slight human being as he lay there, blister burns clearly showing from the damage she and Gwen had done in their efforts to survive. Everything stopped but rubble falling down.
Sarah sat, letting out a great exhalation.

Gwen stood on the table, looking at the unconscious man. She began laughing, just at how amazing Sarah Jane was. She turned around and faced Sarah Jane, still smiling and giggling. In a flurry, she threw her good arm around Sarah Jane's neck in an embrace. "You!" Gwen moved her head back from Sarah Jane's shoulder to face her. "You are just amazing!" She realized her new-found friend had saved her life so many times today, and she really was amazing. Going back to the hug, she placed her head on Sarah Jane's shoulder, and her hand on her back.
That's when Gwen noticed the book. It was on the end of the table; a worn, red fabric covered book. On the front it said; "The Diary of Flora Macintosh" Gwen couldn't put her finger on it, but it was powerful. That book was powerful. In a flash, she moved her hand from Sarah Jane's back and to the book. She carefully placed the book in her jacket pocket, and with Izzy and Jack in front of them and Sarah Jane caught up in the hug as well, she hoped no one noticed. Gwen wanted this book to be a personal project; for now.
Gwen broke off the embrace, still just beaming at Sarah Jane. "So, I suppose seeing as they're all cured, we can just retcon them and put them back into their normal lives, yeah?"

"Oh, Gwen! You're amazing!" Sarah Jane countered as she squeezed Gwen back, then used her as leverage to pull herself down and off the table. "That's right." She agreed, smiling up grandly at her. "They get to go back to their lives. Thats what we do." She said, praise and gentle admonition all at the same time for everyone who had wanted to bag a Lupine at some point tonight. "Nobody dies today."
The End (Or perhaps The Beginning!)
((If Jack or Izzy or Gwen wish to post, do so and I'll rip my ending off. As you will, my friends.))
