On most any day, Alec Harrison would simply love to enjoy the eternal sunset of Galifrey, It made him proud to be who he was. A Timelord. He didn't need to be famous... He just enjoyed life. Life and it's simplicities.
With a sigh of relaxation, the Galifreyan rested his head on his hands, watching from a mountaintop the dome that surrounded the city. He came to this spot many times. Being so high up and with such a great place to have a view of, it was thought provoking. Provoking all kinds of thoughts in parts of his brain he had long since forgotten he even had.
Harrison realized how boring it was getting. So his mind began forming thoughts in his brain of how the rest of the day was going to work. He might play a little golf to calm his nerves, grab lunch, visit Arkytior, or maybe some other friends...
Standing up, he walked forward. The dome was so awe-inspiring. He leaned in closer to get a better view. It was so...so...so... He tumbled forward, falling off the cliff. He felt terror grip him as he realized that the razor sharp rocks at the bottom would kill him much too fast for regeneration. If he could make one call...
Bam!
Alec was confused. He wasn't far enough down to have hit the ground yet. And the only place that hurt was the back of his head. What? He finally mustered up the courage to open his tightly shut eyes. When he did, he realized that the ground and the sky had gone and switched places. Either than or he was hanging upside down. Probably the latter. He looked up (down?) to see that the very tip of his foot was hanging on a vine.
How convenient, he thought, grinning.
Where was his Tardis? A sonic screwdriver could've told him. He made a silent vow to purchase one when he got back to the city. It was, in fact, his hundredth birthday (not a day on his face) and his family might've picked one up for him. He hoped that, if they did, it was purple-tipped. Those were nice-looking.
Alec's fedora tumbled from his head. It stopped mid-air, as if some invisible force had halted it. Yet another convenient part of his day he thanked his lucky stars for. Letting his foot loose, falling onto the time-machine. He wished again he had a sonic screwdriver.

Later, in the great dome of Galifrey
Alec parked his Tardis about a hundred feet from his house. He saw smoke rising from the building, and immediately wondered if someone had come in and was using his fireplace. But who? And why...? Then he heard crackling, like a...
"Fire." he said in horror.
He was running now. His feet pounded the ground with the weight of horror on his shoulders. The Timelord finally rounded the corner and saw that his house was in flames. Alec frowned, not finding the 'bright side.' At least no one had been inside.
Or that's what he thought. Alec's parents had come over to help celebrate that special day. It would've been nothing, a simple regeneration: something painfully simple. But by chance, they hadn't quite made it out in time, and been burned to a crisp.
The Timelord's hand flew down to his pocket, and his phone was at his ear in seconds. He called the first one on the list, his brother.
"I might need to stay with you for a while, my house burned down."
"Burned down? B-but, our parents were in there, they were going to celebrate-"
Before he could finish his sentence, the phone hit the ground. Alec spotted a shady running from the house, and he was off. His peaceful, serene day was about to get a lot worse.
OOC: Ok, sorry for the lame ending. Open to anyone on Galifrey Pre-Time-War. For now, Alec is nice for this thread. XP
