I'm having some trouble finding a sort of starting point. So far I've been perusing the Torchwood threads because it's my favorite part of the Doctor Whoniverse Triumvirate, and my character that was just accepted even lives in Cardiff and has spent his life watching the events of Torchwood from afar. He even has a job at Jubilee Pizza! In any case, would anyone have any tips on how to make a foothold in a thread to start? Because I don't want to just jump in and end up being unwanted or awkward.

Anyhoo.
My advice is to just start a thread. Someone is going to respond to it. :]
Or you could PM a member from Torchwood - I think we only have an Owen now since Jack bowed out... ^^
Also, we have quite a lot of Doctors available. He could have an encounter with one of them. Ten is still on leave, but we have most of the original Doctors and an Eleven. ^^

I did sort of have an idea for starting a thread in Torchwood, where basically, if there was another member wiling to oblige, I'd meet them by finding an artifact or an alien or something, and that's how I find out about Torchwood. But maybe I'll just PM Owen, because that sounds like a good idea. Of course, the Doctor idea is a way to go, so I think I'll look into that first.

I actually just thought of something. I don't know if you have to discuss this with anyone, but you could order pizza for Torchwood from Jubilee Pizza, and I could drop it off (because my character is a delivery boy for it), and that way I could discover or at least meet some members of Torchwood!
I don't know if that goes against some sort of roleplay protocol or something though, haha.

XD You can make a topic saying that someone ordered pizza. Y'know, since they do that all the time in Torchwood. (Seriously, do they ever eat anything else?)
But as for Rio being in the thread, he probably wouldn't. Unless he decided to steal the pizza from Berwyn. P: He's not in Torchwood officially.
