Name:
Berwyn Dylis Gloucester
Age:
19
Species:
Human
Planet of Origin:
Earth
Occupation:
Jubilee Pizza Delivery Boy
Physical Description:
Berwyn has very light blonde hair and pale skin, almost to a point where people would say he looked sickly. His facial features could be described as boyish, though that wouldn't really describe his eyes. His eyes are dark, piercing gray, giving him the appearance of someone very knowledgeable. These eyes are usually framed by large, thick rimmed glasses, accenting their look. He has a frame smaller than most 19 year old boys, both in height and musculature. When not working, he wears clothing that looks like he'd be unable to afford it. This illusion is achieved by lifting money from his father's wallet every now and then.
Likes: Fey People, Boys (Wink), Sci-Fi Stories
Dislikes: Unimaginative People, Boring Situations
Traits: Intelligent, Occasionally Over Zealous, Addictive Personality
Quirks: Berwyn often chews his nails when nervous. He also smokes and enjoys writing stories.
History:
Berwyn was born to Betrys Alis Gloucester nee Goodwin and Marc Berwyn Gloucester, named for his father and his grandfather, Dylis Price Goodwin, at 12:33 AM, April 10th, 1992, at Morriston Hospital in Swansea. He led a mostly unremarkable life for many years, other than the fact that he made consistently high marks in school.
In January 2006, when Berwyn was thirteen, his family moved to Cardiff. It was from here that he and his family observed the events of the destruction of 10 Downing Street. He turned fourteen in April, and later that year in September, Berwyn witnessed the attempted opening of the Rift by the TARDIS at Roald Dahl Pass. Intrigued, this sparked Berwyn's interest in Sci-Fi, and he began to write stories, as well as research alien influences on Earth.
In 2007 Berwyn and his family had an incursion with the Cybermen, during their invasion of Torchwood 1. However, as this event was erased by the time cracks he has no recollection of the event.
By February 2008, a fifteen year old Berwyn watched the partial destruction of Cardiff by Abbadon. His mother was one of the many killed. This event affected Berwyn greatly, and he slipped into a depression. His stories reflected this dark time for him, becoming darker as well. His grades reflected his depression as well, slipping as he began to pay less attention in school and finding it hard to care for anyone or anything. He was killed while resisting Harold Saxon with a small group of protesters during "The Year that Never Was", however as these events were erased so was his death.
Later in 2008, sixteen year old Berwyn experienced appendicitis, and was taken to St. Helen's Hospital in Cardiff. Here, he saw Duroc, and was one of the many people evacuated from the hospital before Duroc could kill them.
In March 2009, as an early birthday present, Berwyn and his father went on holiday to Greece. This, however, was not enough to lift Berwyn out of his depression. Luckily, they were not in Cardiff for its bombing and weevil infestation, in which they surely would have been in danger.
By April 2009, Berwyn had applied and taken a job at Jubilee Pizza in Cardiff. He began delivering pizzas frequently to, unbeknownst to him, the Torchwood Three Hub. Later that year, Berwyn and his father had an incursion with the Daleks during the Medusa Cascade incident, however as this event was erased by the cracks in time he has no recollection of the event.
In September 2009, Berwyn, now seventeen, was left home alone as his father, a government official, left for Thames House. It was here that his father died when the 456 ambassador filled the building with deadly gas, killing Berwyn's father. Berwyn, not yet an adult, was evicted from the house his father and himself lived in. He took the money his father had left and rented a small flat in downtown Cardiff, continuing to work for Jubilee Pizza to make ends meet. His science fiction writing began to lessen, as he fell more and more into depression and felt that the extra terrestrial life on earth was something to be feared and not fascinated with.
Additional Medical Information:
Berwyn suffers from asthma and bad eyesight, forcing him to carry an inhaler with him at all times and either wear glasses or contact lenses.
