“That’s… efficient,” his owner said. Blue’s shoulders dropped a little, disheartened by the man’s lack of interest. However, he kept his pleasant smile plastered to his face forcefully. “I wish for inconspicuous form of quality transportation,” the Dark Lord said. Blue blinked, mind flashing back to the streets he had just been pulled from. An inconspicuous form of quality transportation? That was a vague wish if he’d ever heard one, but it was his job as a Djinn to comply.
“Of course,” he said uneasily, nodding his head towards the end of an alley. A bike appeared, propped up against the wall. “I-I’m sorry. Would you prefer something else? I didn’t think a car would be very inconspicuous, especially if you didn’t know how to drive one. I could turn into a horse if you like,” he said anxiously, morphing into a grey thoroughbred. He lowered his muzzle sheepishly. They weren’t in a heavily populated city; most of the inhabitants were sheep, dogs, and horses.
He stayed in the form of a horse, tail flicking anxiously. At best, his new owner seemed quite unstable. Normally he was able to peg what kind of master he would be getting: demanding, a push over, punishing, forgiving. But this man seemed to be all of those spectrums at once. “Do you have anything specific in mind?” he asked softly, quietly inching away from the man in case he was abusive. It’d be nothing out of the ordinary for the Djinn.
“Oh Blue, two things. One, thank you for the Medal, both of you. It was very thoughtful. Two, I was curious… fixed points in Time and Space, are you allowed to change those?” she asked, appearing quite serious and inquisitive. The horse looked up and tried to shrug; something quite awkward and hard to accomplish when one was a horse.
“There aren’t rules that I know about against it,” he said slowly, “but I’ve never tried to do that before. I should be able to, but it’d depend on the event and the type of lock,” he theorized. He was still a young Djinn – his powers seemed relatively strong to those that weren’t Djinn, but he knew better to boast. Those of his species that were older – his parents were at least a million years older – could make people tremble with the power that they had in their pinky.
“Well, then, ready to go to my TARDIS?” the kind Time Lady asked.
Blue glanced over at Alec, awaiting his answer patiently.
ooc| not my best post, but I felt kinda guilty for making you guys wait so long. :/ || Also, Rio better be lurking in the TARDIS, P. :P Kidding, kidding. (I just realized that this took place after the Warehouse… uh… I’ll stop trying to be funny now.)

“Of course,” Blue answered shakily, “I-I’m sorry. Would you prefer something else? I didn’t think a car would be very inconspicuous, especially if you didn’t know how to drive one. I could turn into a horse if you like,” he said anxiously, morphing into a grey thoroughbred.
Alec sighed, placing an open hand on his forehead. "That won't be necessary." he answered.
“Do you have anything specific in mind?"
He put a hand up, but Blue stepped back gently, as if expecting Alec to hurt him. "Just...a RV. Yes, that'll do nicely." he said, straining his memory to remember such a vehicle.
He lowered his shoulders softly, trying desperately not to seem imposing. The Djinn was already caught up in space gibberish with the Phantom. He sighed before hearing her asked if he was ready to go. "Ah, yes, once our friend here is finally done with the whole crash bang magic." he said.
It came out as not intended, a bit rude in fact. He hoped Blue didn't take it the wrong way. He seemed too reluctant to be a friend, but he didn't want to be enemies.

“That won’t be necessary,” he told Blue. The Djinn winced at the expression on the man and turned back into a human. This was obviously an off-day for the Djinn, but getting a new owner was often a nerve-wracking experience. Especially when the new owner looked vaguely as though he or she would snap Blue’s neck if he did something wrong. Not that Blue thought that this Alec would do something so extreme, but he seemed to lose patience quickly.
As did Blue, but he decided that he did so in a much more polite manner.
“Just… a RV. Yes, that’ll do nicely,” the man told him. Blue nodded and made an RV appear, parked on the side of the road outside of the alley. The few people that were walking on the sidewalk beside took no notice. He grinned triumphantly, deciding that practicing the perception filter with his wishes had been a good idea after all. He glanced over towards Alec, looking very pleased with himself.
The expression faded, however, at the man’s next words. “Ah, yes, once our friend here is finally done with the whole crash bang magic.”
Blue’s shoulders slumped slightly, and he hugged himself. “I’m done,” he mumbled, audibly disheartened. “Let’s go, then.”

Noticing Blue's sudden faint heartedness, the Phantom walked over to him and gave him a kind smile. She placed her hand on his shoulder, as she whispered in his ear. "Don't worry, Alec has had a long day. So if he seems a bit on the grumpy side you shouldn't take it to heart."
She was trying to cheer him up, seeing as how shy Blue seemed to her. The Phantom added quickly. "And If you'd like, you could turn into a puppy again and I could cuddle you again." She gave the Djinn another reassuring smile before turning to Alec and asking. "You do know how to drive a vehicle correct?"

Alec, for all his splendor (or lack thereof,) felt hopelessly lethargic. Blue's apparent happiness turned discouragement slipped past him completely. He did, however, notice the results. He silently noted how nobody noticed it coming from nowhere. What was the name for that? Perspiration guilter? Something like that.
He glanced over at the RV, which was nice. Brown and white, with nice large windows. "Oh, you're good..." he said, in a just audible tone.
He noticed the Phantom was over by the Djinn, almost in a comforting fashion. His face turned white, a single pang of embarrassment and shame hooking his tongue and coming out as a cough. "Oh...I'm s-sorry. I'm a bit shook up today... I hear amnesia can do that." he said apologetically.
He heard the Phantom's slightly softer voice poking in in the background. "What? Oh, yes, I believe I can drive." he answered.

Blue flinched when the woman touched him. He stared wordlessly at her, brown eyes wide. “Don’t worry, Alec has had a long day,” she murmured to him. Blue shrugged stubbornly; why should he care if this stranger had a long day? Despite his stubborn mental refusals to care about the strange man, he found himself determined to please the Dark Lord. “So if he seems a bit on the grumpy side you shouldn’t take it to heart.” Blue crossed his arms stubbornly and looked away from her, cheeks a bright red. Could he not take it to heart? A Djinn’s job was to please its owner. It was natural for him to be upset when Alec was upset with him.
He sighed and rolled his eyes, squirming away from her. “I’m fine,” he insisted grumpily. “I’m twenty years shy of a million years old, all right? I think I’m old enough to deal with snarkiness,” he insisted. His wavering tone, however, was a little less than convincing. He glanced up as he heard Alec say something about the RV, but the voice wasn’t quite loud enough to carry the words over to Blue. He frowned slightly, hoping it had been something along the lines of ‘Blue, you’re a genius. Simply a genius.’
“And if you’d like, you could turn into a puppy again and I could cuddle you again.”
Blue’s cheeks, which had already been a bright red, darkened considerably and he scrambled away from the Phantom. He turned away from her, grumbling something about how he didn’t need to be cuddled because he was at least forty times her age and really, there were probably laws against it. His eyes found his master’s, and he stuck his bottom lip out in an unintentional pout. He hated being embarrassed, and what he hated more than that was being flustered. And her comment about cuddling him and done both of these quite eloquently.
Alec’s cough caught the Djinn’s attention, and he widened his eyes in concern. “Oh… I’m s-sorry. I’m a bit shook up today… I hear amnesia can do that.”
Blue covered his face sheepishly, heat radiating outwards. The Djinn were – at their core – made of pure energy, and Blue was literally buzzing with it at the moment. “Don’t apologize to me, sir, i-it was nothing. I really wasn’t that offended, I-I’m sorry.”
The creature shuddered and took a deep breath, steadying himself. He lowered his hands and smiled at the two Time Lords. “I’m sure one of us can drive,” he said softly.

"Well great!" The Phantom stated happy to know that both could drive. "Cause I don't really know how to operate those types of vehicles, I'm slightly better at driving my ship.."
Looking at both males, she smiled in amusement. "So are you both ready for some sort of an adventure?" She asked getting rather excited at the fact of getting in her TARDIS and taking these two on a trip around the universe. Maybe finding out what happened to Alec that caused him to lose his memory and his ship. "This is going to be so much fun! Though I hope you don't mind an alien hamster I call Perry... Speaking of Perry... We should really get going, I don't think I should leave the little guy alone."
Phantom got a worried look on her face when she thought about Perry, partly worried because the alien hamster might escape and mess with her ship again. Also partly worried due to where it might have wandered off too, even if it was in a plastic hamster ball. There was no doubt that the little guy could manage to get hurt, or lost withing her TARDIS.
"Yeah... we... we should head to my TARDIS." She muttered mainly to herself as she leaned against the RV.

“Don’t apologize to me, sir, i-it was nothing. I really wasn’t that offended, I-I’m sorry.”
Alec frowned. "No, really, simply forgetting my name is no excuse for being rude. Please except my apology." he explained.
He tried to make it rhetorical, as he was eager to move on. "Maybe she should drive. I mean, she would know best where her Tardis is." he said, pointing to the Phantom.
She said something about a hamster-monster named Perry, and how they needed to get to her Tardis. "That reminds me, I need a pet. I'd like a pet..." he thought aimlessly aloud.

"Well I suppose I could drive the RV... However... That would not be the best idea." The Phantom explained. "I'm not very good at driving these types of vehicles. I tend to... Well... Crash."
She smiled sheepishly at them both before she went on to say. "I can give directions though."

Alec heard the Phantom speaking, and couldn't hear her very well. But he heard words like... Can't drive... Give directions... The Dark Lord frowned and crossed his arms, looking at Blue. "You will drive." he ordered.
His actual personality was leaking in, and the Timelord grew grumpier, more rude, and less patient with each minute. He sensed a distinct lack of respect emphasized by his continued desire for approval. That bugged Alec...a lot.
"What are you waiting? Get it the car." he said, pointing at the RV.

“So are you both ready for some sort of an adventure?” she asked cheerfully. Blue smiled at her uneasily, not quite sharing the same enthusiasm. “This is going to be so much fun! Thought I hope you don’t mind an alien hamster I call Perry… speaking of Perry… we should really get going, I don’t think I should leave the little guy alone.” The woman looked far too fond of the hamster, and Blue glanced over at Alec, wondering if it were normal to get attached to things that you owned.
He knew for a fact none of his masters got attached to him. But maybe that was because he was a bit smarmier than your average kitten.
“Maybe she should drive. I mean, she would know best where her Tardis is,” his owner pointed out. Blue opened his mouth to disagree, but promptly shut it, because Djinns don’t disagree. “That reminds me, I need a pet. I’d like a pet…”
“I can be a pet!” Blue volunteered enthusiastically. Then, remembering his owner’s discomfort with him as an animal, looked down at his feet and shuffled them awkwardly. “I meant to say I can give you a pet,” he amended.
As the Phantom began to talk about how she couldn’t drive, Blue watched his owner curiously. The man seemed to be paying only vague attention. He could sense the Time Lord’s underlying impatience, and he frowned, biting his lower lip.
“You will drive,” his owner said. Blue nodded obediently and took a hesitant step towards the RV, unsure of how he was going to pull off this accomplishment without getting them all killed. “What are you waiting for? Get in the car,” Alec insisted, pointing at the RV.
Blue nodded and quickly hurried into the RV, biting his lip nervously as he looked at the foreign steering wheel. He turned the keys and sighed shakily; how hard could this be? Humans did it all the time.

The Phantom quickly stepped into the RV after Blue, she sat down in the passenger seat and buckled herself in. Looking at Blue she noticed he seemed nervous with driving the vehicle. "Don't worry, my TARDIS isn't that far away. It's right by the river up ahead." She explained to him in a poor attempt to calm him down. "So it should only take a couple minutes."

Blue glanced cautiously at the Phantom, unsure of whether or not the Dark Lord would frown upon him talking to someone else. He shrugged off concerns and simply smiled at her. “I can do this,” he reassured her. I just give no promises to how well I can do this, he finished silently in his mind. Once the two Time Lords were settled in the RV, Blue focused on how he had watched humans drive.
Who gets a Djinn and asks for an RV? Blue would have thought he’d at least get an inquiry on a flying carpet, but he seemed that his new master was no-nonsense. He began driving – a little too quickly, and a little bit too dangerously. Blue was pretty sure that the humans had enough sense to dodge the RV, and if not, survival of the fittest. One learned to dodge, or one learned a painful death.
Yes? Yes.
He followed the Time Lady’s directions dutifully, his fingers clutched a little too tight on the steering wheel. Finally – finally with no human causalities – they had come to a stop, he hurried out of the RV. His legs were shaking from his nerves, but he locked them, determining not to make his master angrier with him. He gave them a triumphant smile.
“To the TARDIS?”

Alec settled down in the back of the RV, ready for what he thought was going to be a smooth ride. He was wrong, he realized as he was thrown from his seat. He was relieved when they finally got to the lake, and stumbled out.
He said a few words that he was glad his family wasn't here to hear him say, bit none directed especially at Blue. "Where is your Tardis, Maria?" he asked, memories pooling back as he said the words.
The Timelord's hand surfed through his jacket until coming upon a smooth, long object with a purple tip on the end. "I wish I knew what this did."

Maria stepped out of the RV and looked at the lake. Stretching her back as she looked for the small shack that was her Tardis.
"Where is your Tardis, Maria?" Alec asked her as he started examining his purple tipped sonic screwdriver. "I wish I knew what this did."
"My Tardis is right over there." She pointed at the shack by the lake shore. "Alec, that would be your sonic screwdriver. Do you know what a sonic screwdriver is?" Maria asked before motioning them to follow her as she headed towards the Tardis.
With a grin, Maria opened the door to her Tardis and stepped inside, leaving it open for them to follow her in.
