Name: The Eleventh Doctor (I refer to him as Eleven for short, but he is most often referred to as the Doctor)
Age: 900+
Species: Time Lord
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: Eleven travels in his TARDIS, really doing whatever it is he needs to do in the situation.
Physical Description: Eleven is scruffy, with messy hair and a fancy for unusual clothing. While his outfits are hardly the fashion faux-pas that Six's were, he likes things like bowties and fezzes, saying on different occasions that 'Bowties are cool', and that 'Fezzes are cool'. The first new outfit he wears after being regenerated consists of a brown tweed jacket, bow tie, rolled-up trousers, and boots that he steals from a hospital on the grounds that he had saved the Earth enough times to deserve an outfit. He changes his outfits frequently, switching from blue shirts and bowties to red ones.
Personality: The Doctor is rather absent minded, with a propensity for rambling and for correcting his words while he talks- sometimes so quickly that he sounds like he is speaking nonsense. He doesn't get most social mores and often says things without realizing what their consequences might be. Eleven talks with his hands most of the time, as gesturing seems to help him figure things out. Though he talks quite a bit, he gets flustered and can never think of a retort to any of Amy's witty remarks. Eleven often interrupts himself and other people, most often to tell them to shut up or to be quiet while he thinks.
Like three of his earlier reincarnations, Eleven arrives late more often than on time. Once, after saying he would be gone just a little bit, he did not return to Amy's garden until twelve years later. His youthful appearance and personality contradict his age and world-weariness, and while he is quick to get upset, he is also very kind.
One clear habit of Eleven's is his tendency to ask people if they trust him before disclosing any of his ideas. Once he has informed them of the plan, however, he is just as likely to change it on the spot as follow it to the letter. A few times he has looked over a choice, such as in "The Beast Below", when he doesn't see the Queen's abdication as an option, even though Amy does. Other times, Eleven does something very unexpected and unplanned, such as when he destroys the gravity globe to save everyone from being killed by Weeping Angels.
He has several extraordinary abilities, such as being able to determine the contents, identity, and age of a substance by tasting it. He has excellent eyesight and a photographic memory, with an almost Sherlockian ability to pick out details from a scene. However, he often wants others to do the same, encouraging them to try and reach the same conclusions.
While earlier Doctors often hid their emotions, Eleven does no such thing. He openly becomes angry and violent, sad, distasteful, joyful, anything. One time, he even says that he hates what he has to do and that he will have to change his name, because he couldn't be known as the Doctor after lobotomizing the Whale that was propelling the starship version of Britain. His emotional ups and downs, which are not present in most of his reincarnations, puts Eleven in situations where he is forced to make difficult decisions, and because of this, people often get hurt. He is vaguely callous and straight to the point, with a strong dislike for distractions. Often enough, Eleven simply ignores his companions while he is working.
Eleven is very energetic and lively, and he likes to move and be part of the action. While he hates for things not to go the way he planned, he can always find the positive outlook on a situation. He's resourceful and a good leader, albeit with a childish penchant for just being himself and not blending in. He is farther from the human race than some of his other reincarnations, and almost views them as beneath him- even though he respects the species. He constantly tells his companions Rory and Amy to go back to the TARDIS so he can finish a dangerous task alone and they can be safe. Also, Eleven dislikes the idea of weapons being used for violent reasons against other sentient beings, even though he seems fine with using guns against things like the Weeping Angels.
History: When the Tenth Doctor regenerated after being hit with a Dalek death ray, he created the Eleventh Doctor- and did it with such force that he damaged his TARDIS and sent it reeling down to Earth to crash in the garden of one Amy Pond. However, the first thing the Eleventh Doctor was concerned with was, of course, what he looked like and whether he had all of his body parts. Finding that he was whole in mind and body (though with a disappointing chin and nose) Eleven proceeded to be rather dismayed that he still wasn't a ginger.
