Name: Ostyostyryx (pronounced Ost-ee-ost-er-rex. Osty to her friends
Age: Around 200 Earth years, but on her planet just getting out of her teen years
Species: Tylythyn, a species resembling Earth's geckos but quite a bit larger! Tylythyns stand about 4 feet tall, with well developed hands (still with wall-climbing capabilities) and a much shortened tail. They come in a variety of colors, from yellow and black to dark gray to turquoise. (No, they don't look like the Geico gecko;) )
Planet of Origin: Turusia at the far end of the Milky Way Galaxy. It's a tropical planet with reptiles being the dominant intelligent species.
Occupation: Studying to be an engineer and not very good at it at this time. She could be a companion as long as she doesn't accidently blow something up.
Physical Description: Osty has coloring sort of like a Tokay, dusty blue green with tiny bright orange spots. Her golden eyes are large and staring, as she has no eyelids. This means she has to clean her eyes periodically by licking them. (This is also a nervous habit of hers.) She wears a thin leather belt with pouches hanging off it, this is her only clothing. Occasionally she'll take some jewelry out such as a silver necklace or tail rings to wear when she feels like it.
Personality: Osty's still young and eager to make friends. She's trusting to a fault and her enthusiasm can be a bit wearing on others. She wants to travel in space and so is studying space ship engineering. (Her species is in high demand for this task because with their special gripping feet they can manuver in places where lines or ladders can't be set up and even zero gravity doesn't faze them.) All she knows about space at this point is what she's read in books or heard in stories so she's liable to believe anything. However, this doesn't mean she's a weakling and without protection. Tylythyn hide is quite thick and strong and they have poison fangs set at the back of their jaws. (Good thing they're a friendly species!) Talking to her might be a bit daunting as she reverses sections of sentences (think of how Yoda speaks) but she is willing to learn how to speak to others.
History: As before-mentioned, Tylythyns are very skilled in engineering work and on their home planet are very clever with their hands. They've built great cities in the giant trees on their planet, connecting them to the cliff-side dwellings with rope bridges stretching long distances, the longest being almost a mile! They hunt the animals below but are mostly fruit eaters, the mushier and sweeter the better! In fact they will go out of their way for sweets.
Additional medical information: Osty is allergic to anything made from or coated with copper. She breaks out and suffers horribly if she comes in contact with it. Even just picking up an Earth penny would cause her finger pads to swell into great boils. Not a pretty sight!
