(Jenny)Alien Hunting

Tosh was shooting at an alien, which had unfortunatley ran out of sight. Tosh sighed deeply. She had been hunting it, because it looked....dangerous. And yet it was an alien that Torchwood had never seen. Although the others weren't with her, Tosh felt she had to disarm it. The gun was a knockout gun. She'd knock it out, get all the guns away from it, and get a DNA sample. She'd analyze the sample, find out what alien it was, and then scan the technology. It looked way too good for the alien species. It made Tosh suspicious. She heard a rustle and spun round, and found her gun pointing at a girl. "Whoa! Sorry about that. Thought you were an alien I was chasing." Tosh apologized, lowering the gun. "What brings you here, anyway? Hardly anyone is here today." Tosh said, kind of suspicious. What if this girl was an alien in disguise? No, Tosh thought, otherwise it would have run away by now.

Jenny hated having humans pointing guns at her and it seemed as if this planet’s inhabitance were making a habit of the unsavory practice. She had heard the sounds of running and she had peaked around a corner to investigate. Sometime Jenny was just too inquisitive and it seemed to get her into trouble. This time trouble once again found a gun pointed at her and for an instance she remembered what it felt like to have a bullet go through ones chest and to feel the icy cold touch of death.

Jenny smiled brightly as the gun was lowered and felt a wave of relief. “Oh, I was just taking a walk, doing a little sightseeing.” She replied to the young woman’s inquiry. “So, what kind of alien was it? Was it dangerous? Or were you just chasing it for the fun of it?” She asked, wondering why it was that this planet seemed to get the intergalactic sewer quality aliens of the multi-verse at its door time and time again. It sometimes made her wonder if there were more bad aliens then good. But I’m an alien, my dad’s an alien… were not bad are we? She thought to herself.

Though it did bring to mind the times he had, had to tell her not to hurt anyone and that she was just a soldier. She decided that it wasn’t something that she wanted to think about anymore.

"I'm not sure...it's something me and my Torchwood friends have never seen before. I'm pretty sure it's dangerous, though I'm not going to kill it. This is a knockout gun." Tosh showed Jenny the gun she had. "I was going to remove it's weapons and then take a DNA sample from the alien. That way I can identify it's species, and we can find out how dangerous it is." Tosh explained, now relaxed. Since the girl was nice, she knew she could trust her. She didn't seem the type to have a gun, so Tosh slid hers into her pocket. "Want to help me find the alien? That is, if you haven't got anything better to do.." Tosh asked.

Torchwood, Jenny thought, I should have known. “Oh, well as long as you’re not going to kill it, I’m in. I don’t really like killing things unless it is absolutely necessary,” Jenny said matter-a fact tone. Chasing aliens was always a fun pastime. You never knew what it was that you would encounter in the end. But from what this woman had said, this creature could possibly be one of the more dangerous sorts; the kind that had to be stopped before they became a danger. She had encountered a few of those in her short life. Care would have to be taken to keep everyone safe, including the alien if possible. Then there was always the possibility that the alien was just as afraid of them as the people of Earth would be of it.

"Nope, I'm not going to kill it unless it's vital. Which it won't be." Tosh added. She suddenly spotted the alien, thankfully not looking their way. She pointed at it. "There, see it?" Tosh said. It looked like a large beige bird, however it's beak was very big. She pointed the knockout gun at it and fired. It suddenly fell to the floor. Tosh went over to it, looking for a moment, then announced to Jenny "It's just knocked out, don't worry." and then Tosh took the weapons, and gently pulled a few of the feathers out and put them into a glass vial. She pocketed it and stood up. "Back to the Torchwood base, before it wakes up. Oh..." Tosh pressed a button on it's device that sat on his wrist, and it teleported him back to his ship. "He'll wake up on his ship in orbit and go home. No worries." Tosh said, glancing at Jenny. "Coming?" she asked.

It didn’t take long for Tosh to find the alien threat and disable it with a single burst from her stun gun. Jenny was starting to really think that those things were useful. She even had an alien equivalent aboard her ship but she wasn’t sure how to use it yet. It was an odd thing that wrapped around the wrist and hand and looked nothing like a weapon at all. Jenny quit liked the one this woman had much better and even Tess for that matter. A gun, no matter what kind it was should look like what it is as far as Jenny was concerned.

The creature was massive and very bird like in appearance. Not that Jenny had seem many birds in her life. After Tosh liberated a few feathers and sent the bird being back to its ship the short lived adventure was over. “Well that was easy enough,” Jenny said with a grin. “Torchwood huh? After you then,” though Jenny was sure she could find a way back into the base it was always easiest to have a guide.

Tosh lead Jenny towards the base. When they got down to the Torchwood reception place, Tosh led Jenny through to the main part, where Tosh would examine the alien things she had collected. She went over to the scanner and tipped the hairs onto it. It would take a while to identify the species, though, so in the meantime Tosh looked at Jenny. "Feel free to look around, but be careful, because some of this stuff is dangerous." Tosh warned, truthfully. She felt the girl wasn't stupid enough to do that but still, she thought it was better safe than sorry.

Jenny followed the woman into Torchwood and jenny noticed that the place hadn’t changed much. Since she had seen the place once before she was more interested in what the woman was doing then looking the place over. “Yes, I know. I’ve been here before,” she stated with a grin. She watched as Tosh started her chore of analyzing the alien’s feathers. Then she remembered that there was something that she hadn’t gotten a good look at before and started walking towards the area that housed the pterodactyl of massive proportions. The creature had intrigued her the first time she saw it and the second time was no different.

Tosh smiled as Jenny wandered off to look at something, and suddenly heard a beep and glanced at the analyzer. "Okay, so it's a....WHAT?!" Tosh said in shock. "It's....someones created a bird that can shoot things out of it's legs....and it can eat the entire human race, in one month.. And these weapons are Cyberweapons, and one of them has a Dalek gun on. If we hadn't have caught it....we would have been dead." Tosh was wondering if it would come back again. Maybe. Someday.

Jenny heard Tosh’s exclamation and wondered what a cyberweapon was. She had, had the misfortune of dealing with Dalek trouble once so that made perfect sense. They were nasty little robotic aliens that wanted to destroy everything that wasn’t Dalek. She couldn’t help but to wonder if the creature was still sitting unconscious somewhere above the Earth or if it had left. Maybe, she thought, I should go after it. “You probably should have restrained it and found out its purpose, founnd out who made it. I wonder…” Jenny said thinking. “I could go after it or even follow it and see if it goes back to its creator."
