Original Character
Name: The Joker
Age: Actual age 779, appeared age 39
Species: Time Lord
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: Insane renegade Time Lord
Physical Description: For reasons which will be explained in his history, the Joker scarred his face himself while in his fifth incarnation. He cut scars on his forehead and cheeks, then shaved off his hair and turned his skin white. When in public, he hides his face with a hooded cloak, and disguises it with one of his many masks.
Personality: The Joker has little to no sanity left in him. He will always have a dopey smile on his face, unless in an extremely serious situation, and will laugh at random times for no apparent reason. His mood changes with the wind; one moment he could be happy and pleased-to-meet-you, the next he's holding a knife to your throat or a gun to your head, so to speak. His personality is very complicated and hard to figure out. Who knows what goes on in that lost head of his.
History: Born on Gallifrey, the Joker was originally like any other Time Lord. He went to the academy at the age of eight, and took the initiation at the Untempered Schism. He was inspired and from that time, he strove to tbe the best Time Lord he could be. During his time, the Joker, known as the Artist at this point in his life, became interested in the arts of various species and planets. He painted often, and his muse seemed to be clowns, which he often made pictures of.
Eventually, the Artist left the academy and felt that it was his fate to see the universe. He attempted to steal a TARDIS and go on adventures, but was caught. As punishment, he was exiled to a planet with no name on the furthest edge of the universe. He was nearly driven insane by the loneliness, but before he could snap, he was called back to Gallifrey when the Time War had begun.
Forced to fight on the front lines, the Artist only survived most of the battles he took part in through sheer luck. Others led to a regeneration. His fifth incarnation was part of the army at the Fall of Arcadia, but was knocked out cold by an explosion. Upon awakening, he found himself alone in a sea of destruction. He thought he was the only survivor, and couldn't find any way off the planet. The madness that had grown within him during his exile finally emerged. He lost his mind, took the appearance of what he loved to paint, and re-named himself the Joker. Eventually, he found an abandoned TARDIS that just barely worked. He escaped the war before it was sealed in the Time Lock, and seeked solice on the planet he had been exiled to. After making repairs to his TARDIS, he went off on his own adventures. On some of them, in fits of madness, he killed the people he befriended, and took some of their possessions. But a part of him still tells him that there are other Time Lords out there, and believes that finding them will help him. He is searching every time period he can for other survivors of the Time War.
Additional Medical Information: As mentioned, his madness and scarred appearance.
