"Indeed." she responded simply, the man was full of himself to say the least. She looked at Jenny, with the ear buds in her ears and smiled a little at Jenny's amazement. She moved over to look into the box and smiled. It was a box of MP3 players, those had nothing compared to Ipods. She grinned at Jenny and laughed a little "It is music. A composite of sound waves created by instruments, some of which can be found within this shop I believe." she replied. She smiled and walked over to another box and looked inside. Within the box, there were two things within it. Both were items of spherical design, darkish in colour but if you looked inside it you could still see your reflection. Picking up both items, she moved over to Jenny and held them out. "What do you think these are?" she asked curiously turning one of them over in her hand. (Those spherical communications things that Anubis had on his ship remember?)

With the ear buds still in her ears and a grin on her face she continued her investigation into alien and domestic tech. Jenny looked at Tess as she brought over new items to investigate. Taking her scanner to them she waved the scanner over them a few times to get a good reading. “Some sort of communications relay device? I think, I’m not completely positive.” She replied with a grin. Turning she went back to searching boxes with relish; An odd assortment of sporting equipment, an old transistor radio, a harmonica, a box of old worn framed and non framed photographs. The place was full of all kinds of wonders. Truth be told, she found herself more interested in earth tech and items then she was in the alien goodies.
Finally Jenny came to an ornate box full of what appeared to be some kind hand gadgets of linked chains and plates that fit around a person’s hand. There appeared to be various types for various purposes and they had Jenny completely stumped as to their purpose. “I think this is the last of it, unless you found anything else?” She said holding out the rather large opened box to Tess. “We should probably find some place safe to investigate everything we found and figure out what they are and how they work. Find out if they are too dangerous or useful. What do you think Tess?” She asked.
(goa'uld & ori hand devices and that sort of thing, I can't remember the names off hand, lol.)

She blinked and looked over at Jenny, a communications device huh? Okay so she could keep one and Jenny could keep one. She walked over to where Jenny had moved to investigate and looked at what seh'd found. There weren't that many of them, enough for the two of them at the most to each have one or two, what did they do? Jenny was right, they neede a safe place to test this tech so she started to think.
There was an old Warehouse about a block away, no one went there because they thought it was haunted and what better-a-place to test possibly dangerous technology! She grinned and spoke. "There's some old building around here, I know where it is, people don't go there before they think its haunted but Ghosts don't exist. We can go there."
The redhead began to think about it....if they found use for these items could seh keep them? Would she be allowed to? She moved, holding the two orbs still toward the door, gun remaining in her posession at her belt, it was great, she didn't have to hold all three at once.
(We should find some kind of tech that hides the presence of other tech from detection. Oh, I know what the Goa'uld tech does but not the Ori tech, not yet that far. maybe we grab a random strange bag and shove the stuff into it without noticing? That would make the most sense to me. and Sundosia I think you can join now, right?)

Jenny grinned at Tess’s plan to use a local, abandoned, and presumably haunted old warehouse. “That sounds like the perfect place to test this stuff out. We wouldn’t want to put anyone in any kind of danger now would we? ”
With little thought Jenny grabbed what appeared to be little more than a large military duffle. One of those large affairs that are used when troops or in the field or during military exercised. Leave it to a soldier to pick out military equipment as a practical resource for any problem.
She could tell that the bag was not completely empty but that was of little matter. Opening the bag she shoved in the ornamental box, thinking that the bag would be less conspicuous then carrying the box outside into the bright sunlight for all to see. It would also make carrying everything easier, especially the twin rather large devices that Tess had found.
Holding the opened bag out towards Tess so that she could deposit the devices into it she said, “This might be a little more inconspicuous then just carrying them in a large box or as they are don’t you thing?” She smiled brightly at Tess.
(Sounds like a great plan. Bag check, warehouse check... Weeping Angel in warehouse? *shifty eyes* check. Yes now would be a good time for Sundosia income into the thread. XD )

Tess looked over at Jenny and her new military looking bag, she blinked a few times then understood. Holding the objects out, she dropped them into the bag, hearing a soft clink of the spherical objects against the box. "Yeah, if someone saw our new box they might want it, and its ours 'cause we found it. Theres some strange rule on Earth I read about, it stated that if someone found something, it became their property. Does that make sense to you because it is a little odd in my opinnion." she said turning back toward the door and exiting, leading the way toward the warehouse.
---------
Upon arrival, the two would come across a very empty seaming building, partially crumbling due to lack of immanence. Dust lined the wood and stone the building was composed of, spider webs hid in every corner and wehn stepped on, the floor boards creacked. Inside the warehouse were some old crates, possibly empty, rumor had it there was some old military stuff inside but no one had ever checked because they thought it would be haunted and ghosts would pop out of god only knows where and attack them! The crates were strewn around the area in no particular order or arrangement. The only thing off, was a strange statue of an angel, it was crying but then again statues couldn't cry so why someone would put it in such a pose was beyond the redhead's knowledge.
This was where they were, their destination. By now several hours had passed, it was around noon-ish maybe one PM.

Jenny shifted under the added weight of the spheres before closing the bag securely and flipping it quickly around and onto her back. “That is an odd rule, I’ve never hear of such a thing before.” Jenny stated as she followed Tess out of the storage area, closing the door behind her. She noticed the small case that she had thrown earlier and bent down to gather it up. Glancing once again at the odd markings she shrugged and added it to the pocket that contained the rings. Maybe it holds a clue, she thought as she then continued to follow Tess from the store into the bright, broad daylight.
It seemed likes hours had passed and she wondered about the intelligence of leaving the man from the store free to wreak whatever havoc he had planned. But she had no way of containing him and nothing that she could control him with. She decided then that she would do the only thing left to her; she would send a message to Torchwood as soon as she got back to her ship.
The two girls came upon a large, old, and dilapidated building. Not a living soul could be seen anywhere in its vicinity. Upon entry Jenny noticed resident bugs and traces of some sort of animal. Small scratches and tooth marks could be seen on the bottom corners of a few of the crates that littered the room, and droppings could be seen. Jenny had a suspicion that some of these wooden boxes had become home to whatever the creatures were. (Rats.) As they proceeded further into the building they could see the statue of an angel. Its hands covered its face in what appeared to be sorrow. Its head was boughed underneath its misery and it lay thick with dust.
Not far from this angel they stopped and Jenny smiled at Tess. “Seems a safe enough place,” she said placing the bag with some care onto the floor.

A large grin formed on the redheads face and her eyes lit up, the place was gross to say thel east but it was still awesome to practice with their new weapons in. she reached down into the bag and removed the electric gun-thing, holding it up, she waited for something to come out of it's hiding place.
Soon enough, her wait paid off and out scurried a rat, disgusting little buggers weren't they. She smiled and pointed the gun at it. She pulled its trigger like thing. A strange sound emitted from it as it fired off a blue burst of electricity at the rodent, hitting it and knocking it over. It was alive still...maybe, how would one go about checking if a rat was alive without touching it? She didn't know, at all, and she really didn't want to touch the rat....ewww!
"Your turn." she said, stepping aside, keeping hold of the gun and forgetting the statue near them.

“My turn, “she said as she reached into her pocket she pulled out the twin rings and looked at them carefully. Intrigue carvings but nothing to tell the possessor what to do with them. “These need turned off anyways,” she said as she slipped them on through an impulse. They fit her pointer fingers easily. She didn’t understand them as she looked at them, accidently brushing them together. The air around her instantly stopped excreting that strange energy that she had been feeling since she had first found them.
“Well that is interesting, if highly anti-climactic” Jenny mused as she wondered what would happen if she touched them together again. But she really didn’t want to damage the planet so she refrained.
(We could let the angel defeat us and Jenny could use the rings to get them back. o_0)

Jenny then took out the spheres handing one to Tess and managing to activate the one she still held. “Interesting,” Jenny said as she placed it upon the dirty floor, but it didn’t stay on the floor. It rose up and hovered several feet in the air, “Oh, that is brilliant,” Jenny said with a grin. As old as time the lonely angel was. It had been sitting in wait for what seemed like centuries for the right power source to come along. It had slumbered long in the dark desolate building. Hardly anyone ever came there anymore. Teenagers once in a while braved the dilapidated building to catch sight of the ghosts that the warehouse was suppose to house and every once in a while a child or adventurous adult would go missing.
But something powerful pulled it from its silent slumbers. Power hummed in the air and the warmth of life flared from somewhere nearby. Slowly it looked up from its hands, its stone body softening slowly and ever so slightly. It feed off that power until suddenly it stopped. The Angel became angry at the end of its long needed nourishment.
It noticed to females sitting upon the floor looking over some objects from a bag. Power was in that bag, these life forms had power and the Angel wanted it and wanted it now. It crept up to the girls, its hands outstretched with a look on its face like a cobra ready to strike and then it lunged for them both at the same time, hard, cold stone seeking soft, warm flesh.

She stared at the ball as it floated up, stared at her own for a second and saw something...something that wasn't there before. She turned around then, looked at the statue, in its new place. "It moved..." she stated a little worriedly, not looking away from the statue. "We should leave....now, statues don't move." she stated matter-of-factly, backing up a little, still holding the sphere tightly.

Jenny thought the sphere’s a brilliant work of technology and thought that they would be very useful. But her satisfaction at figuring out how to turn them on was short lived by Tess’s exclamation. Jenny turned to stare at the statue, now looking as if posed to strike. Jenny reached for a gun at her side that was no longer there. She got up and backed away from the statue with Tess. “What IS IT!?” she exclaimed, not being able to tear her eyes away. “Yes, we should definitely leave…. Like now…”
