Bzzt
Bang!
The Bookkeeper, clad in a jumpsuit with a circle-within-circle design, rolled to his feet, groaning. There was a slight bulge in the rightside of his jumpsuit, a small square. Almost like a CD-ROM, but smaller.
"Is that.... A corset?" He mumbled under his breath. Where was he. Tapping the vortex manipulator on his left wrist, he made a face. This wasn't where he wanted to be.... Was it?
This looks like.... He raked his mind for the many books he read.... Corset.... A device used by Daleks to listen into human radio transmissions? Human, that's it! Earth! But when? The designs.... Victorian? 1500's? Yes!
"Is someone in there?" A sweet, feminine voice called. Corset... Woman... 1500s... The Bookkeeper worked hard on the vortex manipulator... He could be hung for being a 'Peeping Tom' in these days! How would be tell them of his quest.
This isn't going to work. He knew it wasn't.... Only thing left... Is to run!
"I will have you hung you sick devil!" The feminine voice shrieked. Those were words enough to get The Bookkeepers legs moving. A locked door. A ceiling skylight. A open window. A bathro-- There. The window. He sprinted for that, slowing down to plot his course. He found it.
Splat!
Horse dung. Nothing like that can stop a 2 story fall. What a large horse... The stench. The stains... He would need a new suit. Popping up from the ground, The Bookkeeper walked through the street, leaving a wide berth so nobody would have to be too rude and run away. Making sure the small laser gun was on his belt, he felt safe against any intruders. Still scared the living daylights out of him.
