Hi there Sonofthedoctor,
Welcome to the party.

For obvious reasons, I took note when you arrived.

Tenth, who created this place, is having some computer issues. Usually Tenth can be seen a few times a day, and the character submissions are frequently answered. Just this moment, they are at a bit of a halt, but back in business soon, I'll bet.

In the meanwhile, I thought I would be bold and write you a little note, since we've all been though the submissions process before. What I learned along the way is that the character submissions are sort of your audition for the role. I noticed on your Submission for Fourth that you've simply copied something out of Wikk.

When I've read other "auditions" for the Doctors, I see the Administrator, the Moderators, and the other Doctors asking for quite a bit from a new Doctor. They already know what the Fourth is like, so what they want to see is how you describe him. I believe that they also ask the Doctors in particular to write a paragraph worth of a "post".

Here is a good example of how they work with a new submission to try to find the right Voice for the Doctor. This person didn't make it, but was encouraged to stay and play on the site.

Hello there,

If I may be so bold and hopefully not come across as insulting in this, I believe everyone would prefer to avoid Text talk, that being hte u and ppl thing, however on that note I welcome you to the site and hope to see you around plenty. As for your username, you can change your display name by going into your profile, clicking edit profile and changing the part that says Display Name, this doesn't change your username like it does on some other sites, I know how annoying that can be if it happens.

If you have any questions, I'm here almost all the time or several times throughout the day so feel free to PM me, if you need to know how to PM, then ask, I say this because I am unsure of how well you know probards sites like this one.

Dear Sonofthedoctor,

Whoops, you're right. I am being a bit of a bully. Only by accident, though, I was just trying to help and didn't do it with quite the gentle flare that Tenth always shows.

Not only a bully, but a foolish one at that. I sent you a post that was really aimed at a different newcomer who is also interested in the Fourth Doctor. The other fellow did the cut and paste. Not you.

I did see you were looking at Fourth though, and all the links and ideas might come in handy anyway. The funny part is how I'm going to virtually cut and paste my earlier post and send it on to the other new comer.
