Hi there.
I'm new around here
What can I say... I've never been involved in any role play so all this is kind of new for me. A friend of mine introduced me to the concept and when I discovered this forum I was like
"My dreams came true!" xD
Overreacting I suppose... It's just that I really love the show and the opportunity of making some fan fiction with others seams really great. Well I've read already the rules (so many! ) but I still don't know exactly how to be a part of this amazing whoniverse x)
I applied for Amy pond cause I saw in some list here that the character hadn't been chosen yet, even though I prefer Rose Tyler.
I'm just curious, can you tell how is made the "story"? I mean, there's many people, many characters, how you reunite everything so that it makes sense? Probably is a silly question, but as I said, I've never tried role playing before.

Welcome to the Whoniverse! I'll try to answer your questions, though I should mention I'm not a moderator or anything here, just a fellow player. I do happen to know that quite a few of the big hats around here have been a bit busy with the change of the season and various responsibilities, so I thought I'd give a shot at answering your questions.

Tenth, the creator of all this loveliness, hasn't quite had a chance to keep the list of open characters up to date. I'm sorry to say that both Amy and Rose are already being played. The good news is, there are still endless possibilities to role play in the Whoniverse. And, who knows, but maybe if you're around long enough, one of your favorite Who characters might come open.

For starters, I found it helped me to go around and read some of what is happening here. You can get a sense of how people play their parts, how they interact, and what sort of stories are going on. On the Home Page, just scroll down to "Doctor Who Role Play and OOC". Everything there and below there are the stories. Here is just one example of how people work together to write a story, though there are dozens and dozens of other stories to read.

If you find a story line that excites you, you could make an original character (or tap into an unclaimed cannon character that you like) and prepare to join that thread. Keep in mind, unless you stay in the Guest Role Play section, you'll have to submit a character and have it approved by Tenth.

It helped me quite a bit to read other people's submissions before I wrote my own. Not only did it give me an idea of what caliber of writing was being accepted, it also showed me how helpful everyone is here when you're trying to pin down a character. At this next link, you'll find a wealth of accepted applications so you can see the variety of characters people are making, and what their submissions/character profiles look like and how they worked with Tenth and others to make a solid character.

As Sarah Jane said, Rory and Amy are taken, sorry. However we are in need of many other characters including those from the first Doctor's days through the Eleventh companion wise. Also, if you've ever watched The Sarah Jane adventures we need some people there if that helps at all maybe it does maybe it doesn't.

If you do not find a Canon which you wish to play, then you are free as you may know to create your own character, weather they be Human, Dalek, Cyberman or TimeLord...or some species we've never heard of...or the GRASK or however you spell that. If you need some help with anything, I might be able to assist you if you wanted just feel free to PM if you find anything to ask.
