I still haven't done the activity check yet. I will do that as soon as I can.
However, I'm noticing that certain key people haven't rped in a while. Not sure why. But until certain people come back, it'll be hard to do certain threads. Therefore, I probably will see if we can regroup and start some new threads that don't require some of these people that need to take a break for a while or whatever.
That way there are still threads that people who are extremely active can post in. The other threads will remain, and can definitely be replied to whenver -- but I just want to make sure that people's characters are getting used and that good rpers aren't walking away from the site because they are tethered to people who have become less active.
If you guys have any plot ideas, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll come up with something this Saturday and get something going for the active players. If you would like to participate in the planning of this, or if you would like your character(s) to participate, please post a reply to this thread. That way I can take your character(s) into consideration when planning it out.
It's just that there are several threads that have been waiting for replies for quite a while. I think we need some new stuff going on here just to keep everyone engaged.
This new thing will be open to all characters. You may also PM me to let me know that you want your character(s) involved.

I'm going to go ahead and do the activity check now. That way I know who is "officially" active and who isn't.
Activity is defined as if you have logged into your account within the past month -- one month ago from today's date. Those that pass the activity check will keep their characters. Those that fail will have their characters either put up for adoption or will have their characters moved to the "character graveyard."
Threads that have characters in which someone has gone inactive will be listed below. In the open thread board we can talk about plotting and how to get around this...for now. That way the threads can still continue. New threads can also be created involving the still active characters.
Threads that have active characters, but in which an essential character hasn't posted within the last week will also be listed. We can find temporary solutions for getting around this as well. Or, you have the option of creating a new thread in that board...and leaving that thread as is until the essential character returns and/or becomes inactive at the next activity check.

(May not have time to complete this until tomorrow -- I'm eating lunch now at my internship site...and I have a lot of paperwork to do. Our intake person is back, thankfully I still will be staying here until 8:00 PM because I have a client at 7:00 PM.)

1. I would delete the members who are no longer active or ones who have not been at all in ages.
2. Open up the inactive canons to give a chance for a new person to play them that way the stories lines move along that need one or more canons to be active.
3. Create a thread for ooc/ic games for people to post in when they don't have muse.
4. Do a Of The Month for members to vote on and honor those who have earned the title of the month.
5. I would get rid of the one line posting. Its really bad to see those on a site and really doesn't give anyone to work with and it keeps encouraging those kind of post and no one improves and the quality goes down.
6. Reduce the number of threads on the main page to make them cleaner. Also use blockquote within the thread description to give it something a little extra and breaks up the alignment of the board and allows things to stand out more.
7. Archive. Clean out the board and move unused, dead and closed threads into the archive to give it a clean feel but to make things easier to find.
8. Move all OOC areas to one OOC Board and use suboards to break them down or just keep a couple of OCC boards. One for general talk, one for Doctor Who OOC and another for Sarah and Torchwood.

1. I would delete the members who are no longer active or ones who have not been at all in ages. I went through a huge member clean out one or two months ago. I'll do one again sometime -- but I'm pretty busy right now. I might not get to it for one or two more months. I do this once a month. Since it's April now, I'll probably do it next week Already exists as a sub board under general. Okay -- I may need some help with getting something like this set up. I don't know if I'll get to it this weekend, or if it will have to wait until the next. I'm not deleting any posts, but if you see someone not writing much, please let me or another staff member know. People are supposed to be posting at least 5 sentences (a paragraph). I haven't reminded people of that recently. Perhaps I need to do so soon. I won't delete any threads, sorry. I don't want people to lose their work. I didn't know that you could use blockquotes in thread descriptions...wait what are thread descriptions? You mean the first post? I don't want them getting mixed up -- so what I could do is create an archive sub board for each rp board, and one for OOC. I won't be able to get to this until either tomorrow or next weekend. Do you think that would work? Do you mean eliminate the OOC sections in each of the main rp boards? And move everything to one section? Again, this is going to have to wait until sometime this weekend or next weekend.

Ten, if you ever need help archiving or editing the forum, then I can help. I understand that you're quite busy with your internship. If you want, I could relieve some of the pressure.
I'm pretty sure John means the descriptions for the boards on the main page. If not, my bad.

I'm going to need to create some boards before any archiving can be done, and there are certain threads that I don't want to be archived.
I didn't get a chance to do this today or yesterday...so all of this will have to wait until sometime this week or this weekend.

Suggestion: I know we have who play who for players. Are we able to put the time zones of the player's locations?
