Hello, I'm Holli. I'm seventeen years old, and I'm a fan of Doctor Who.(Obviously.) Some of my other fandoms are the Adventures of Merlin, The Mists of Avalon, basically anything based off Arthurian legend, and recently I've began to watch Being Human.
I'm an avid reader, and if I'm not reading, I'm most likely to be writing. I will be going to Florida State College and majoring in Education, minoring in Psychology unless, I get accepted to another school with a linguistics major.
Which leads to the next big point about my life. I am a linguistics lover. I enjoy spending my free time reading about other languages, learning them, and learning about related languages. I also enjoy learning about other cultures and travelling.

As you can probably see, I roleplay Captain Jack Harkness. I also have another account, which is used for roleplaying Gylfie Murdoch and Scott Keaton, both of whom are Torchwood Australia members. I'm pretty sure our characters would never meet, but if you would like them to, don't hesitate in asking.
Now, back to talking about you. Which are your favourite languages?
I know how to speak a fair bit of Italian, some Maori and some Welsh, but only because they've been required in my life and I've enjoyed studying them. Different languages are cool.

I love reading too as well as anything from the Arthurian realm. Though most favorite books are those from the Sherlock area. Its pleasure to meet you, I'm not sure if we will ever meet in the roleplay area as I play Captain John Hart but much like John, I am up for anything  Just don't expect him to treat you like a lady unless he wants something xD Welcome to the site. |

Jack; Thank you, I'll see if I can think of something that would make such a thing possible for any of the characters to meet. As for my favourite language... Well, it's probably Finnish, but it doesn't help that I'm obsessed with Finnish culture and history as it is. I also quite enjoy French, and Italian. I'm most likely going to be taking German as my college has a foreign language requirement. I'm relatively interested in Welsh, it seems like it would be complex to learn, and thank you for the warm welcome!

General announcement- The only way that it would be possible is the fact that Romana had K-9 and a type 102 TARDIS in her possession in Gallifrey according to the books. But, there are certain events in the novels that do not correspond and rather clash with television canon.

I could think of plenty, howdy Romana,, i'm the General, but I also play the Fifth Doctor, Rory, Eiytus (My own character) and the Vashta Nerada, so i'm sure we'll meet at sometime or another.  |

Well, speaking as the guy playing the Doctor who only had one heart and who met the Daleks when they were powered by static electricity (and hate), I think I can safely say that we don't even need to try to reconcile the novels and the show. Time is wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey stuff in Doctor Who, and canon is wibblier and wobblier.

That's so true! Canon is indeed wibbly-wobbly, more so then time apparently is. Anyway, thank you for the warm welcome to the site.
