They call themselves Starlights. Many are in their final years at Hogwarts or have graduated, and they are recruiting more followers. Two groups make up the Starlights, but they have a common aim -to rid the school of half-bloods. They don't agree with interbreeding, believing muggles and wizards should be kept apart. A muggleborn is special, a half-blood is grotesque. The Embers are peaceful, spreading their message through marches and complaints to the ministry. The Flames are violent, actively making shows of half-bloods and threatening them on a regular basis.
The ones who oppose the Starlights openly call themselves Fighters of Midnight, or FoM. They are happy for muggles and magic folk to interbreed, and so often break up violent protests or marches. FoMs are not as organised as Starlights, they join the group and then work individually in small groups, with a recognised leader elected by the group. These groups can be anything from four to four hundred people large, depending on their location. Chances are if your parents are FoMs, you'll know others.
