Things Fall Apart (Open)

[The Master]

Cardiff, Butetown, shortly after midnight.

No matter where you went in Cardiff, the CCTV was watching. Impassively. Unjudgementally. A silent observer of the secrets of the city.

Now it bore witness to yet another brawl between disenfranchised youths and would-be criminals. Two groups, colors indistinguishable in gloom and the black and white footage, brought everything in their arsenal to bear on each other. Knives, bricks, clubs, whatever could rip flesh or break bone.

One young man knelt over the limp form of another - alive or dead, the CCTV could not say. He reached into a jacket pocket, and gestured with what appeared to be the tube of a torch.

There was a flash of light and another youth fell to the ground, the flesh burned from his chest and face. As the rest began to run, the light flashed again. And again. And again. With each pulse another youth fell, a heap of ash and cooked meat and scorched bone.

The final pulse destroyed the CCTV.

I hope you don't mind if I'm a bit delayed in doing this,
though. I'm very busy lately. I rarely have time for the
roleplays I'm already in, but I do want to start this!

Ooc; Perhaps we could leave it for a week or two? I fail
desperately at maths and it's taking up a lot of my time.
When I'm posting here, I only have an hour or two. In
about half a month, however, I should be used to my
work load. When that happens, I'll be posting as much
as possible. c:
