Hmm, I seemed to have neglected putting my own lil 'Heelo My name is..' on this board. Guess I'd better rectify that lil oversight!
Ok, I'm probably the oldest member here, going to be 55 in a couple of months. Oh well, age isn't important unless you are a cheese. (And if I am, please make it a nice Smoked Gouda!!) I'm living in North Carolina (yay for us rebs!!!) but I grew up in the backhills of Oklahoma. Hence my accent if y'all ever keer to hear me;)
I've been a DW fan since 1978 when I first saw this program with a strange man wearing an absurbedly long scarf. The next day I saw a book in the store about Doctor Who, picked it up and was hooked ever since! I've bought over a hundred DW books over the years, picked up a 6th Doctor pin and even have my own TARDIS key on a chain!
I've been role-playing for over 13 years now, my first game being one based on the Cats musical and done by email. Here's to more years rpging here:)
I sew, read, draw, write, carve, sculpt and generally will try any hand craft out there. My fondest wish is to some day be known as one of those strange folk artists that stack their work out in the yard for people to look at when they drive by. Perhaps even be featured in a 'Weird in America' book some day:) I want to carve and sculpt frogs and WILL one day make a frog totem pole, dagnabbit!!!
I share my home with my spouse who often reminds me of an old grizzly bear and two dogs, Smudge my beloved Long Haired Chihuahua and Gracie, an old Sealyham Terrier. Spouse has two salt water aquariums which I have no interest in. I'd rather fill them with lizards or frogs! Oh yes, the frogs, my favorite critter! I collect frogs. Oh not real ones, froggy stuff like figurines (I have a whole curio cabinet filled and others scattered about the house) frog clocks, frog shirts, frog socks, frog pins (about 130 of those) frog puzzles, door stops, pictures, CDs, paintings, quilts, statues, if it has a frog or is a frog I want it!!! Even my car has frogs in it! (And it's a swampy green colored Ford 5oo I named Toady. Other cars bore the names of Frogger and Hopfrog! Both green of course) Up with frogs!
So, in a nutshell (which doesn't have all that much room) I'm just a strange and wacky folk artist that some day hopefully people will remember as 'The Wierd Frog Lady!'
Doctor Who should land on the Planet of the Frogs some day.
