I keep looking at the skin with the TARDIS nearing a planet and thinking what a great quilt pattern that would make:) Maybe this summer I'll give it a try. Various shades of blue material for the TARDIS with silvery swirly background. The corners could be the Seal of Rassilon!
What do you all think? Is this worth the bother?

That sounds like a brilliant idea! I'd snuggle up under that after a long day, fo' sure.
When I clicked the link, I thought you were talking about this blanket. It's the TARDIS! Hurr.

Well, I chose the first fabric, with the metallic gold flecks. Bought three yards and also two yards of a gold bronze solid. Yesterday i spent an hour working over the sizes and placement and then enlarged the Seal of Rassilon to put in the corners. Have you ever taken a good look at that thing??? All swirls, almost in a Celtic fashion. I was going to applique it onto the corner but there's no way I could handle such skinny pieces. It's going to have to be embroideried on instead. The TARDIS is going to be a major project in itself!

You should take photos, so that it's a step-by-step sort of thing. I know for a fact that Doctor Who-themed things are in high demand... sort of. c;
