Tyler stared at Clara. "You STOLE this thing when you ran from 'the war?' What war are you talking about?"
He didn't like the idea that anyone had stolen a time machine. The person who had invented it probably really wanted to have it back. He furrowed his brow in disapproval. He was still having a little trouble breathing, but he was used to it, and no one seemed to notice.
"I'm sure the person who invented this time machine would really like to have it back."

"They're common on our planet," Clara said. "And it seemed rather abandoned. It's just a Type-40. Unfortunately," she started to say to her fellow Time Lords, "the, uh, whatchamacallit that changes the exterior shape broke when I landed. It's stuck as a wardrobe. It was rather lucky that we landed in front of an antique shop."

Tyler stared at Clara, "They're common on your planet? ?? How do time machines work? And just because there are a lot of them...that doesn't make it right to steal. That's like saying.....there are a lot of cars, and it's okay to steal an old abandoned car that's sitting in someone's driveway." He frowned at Clara, clearly disapproving of her.

Clara glared at Tyler. "I didn't say it was in a 'driveway'. That's a bad analogy, especially since you don't know the true story. It's more like I took a car that was abandoned in a ditch somewhere. Weeds were growing over it," she said, clearly angry with the human.

Tyler frowned at Clara, "But you still stole it....how much does one of these time machines cost on your planet that you had to go and steal one?"
His breathing was still kind of bad, but it had gotten a little better. "So....it looks like that alien is all right." He pointed at the General. "So why are you guys here? How many of you are there on Earth at any given time?"

"That's beside the point. I don't have to answer to you," Clara said. It was then that she noticed his breathing. "Come with me." She started for her infirmary.
James looked at Tyler and shook his head.

Tyler sighed, and followed after Clara. He was still irritated with her. For all he knew, she could be a criminal on her planet. What if she planned to hurt him? What if these aliens weren't really friendly to humans? There was only one way to find out. He would have to go with her. If she hurt him in any way, he would make sure that the other humans were warned. He would protect them...he had to.

Clara looked back at him as they approached the infirmary. "Don't worry. I'm just going to check on that breathing of yours." She opened the door and kept it open for him to go through. "Maybe I can make it better."

Tyler hesitated slightly before following Clara into the infirmary.
He nervously looked at her, "I....I'll be fine....this has happened before. Really...but if you want to check on me....go ahead."
Still slightly nervous about being examined, if that really WAS her intention, he sat down in a chair. As he thought about it, it would be nice if the breathing could be looked into. No one really had looked into it - it was just something he coped with, and something that didn't bother him all the time. He hadn't really thought much about it, though. He thought it was just normal for him.

Clara got a stethoscope and went over to him. "I think you might know the drill. Just breathe normally." She put the two ends in her ears and the listening end to his back at first. She just had to remember what to listen for.

Tyler sighed, "Fine."
He tried his best to breathe normally, as he watched her suspiciously. If she took out needles or anything that looked scary, he would either run or scream or grab something to defend himself with. He wasn't about to let any alien experiment on him. He also was slightly nervous whenever anyone got out a stethoscope because his heart was on the wrong side of his chest. But maybe this alien wouldn't know that...maybe she'd think that that's how all humans were.

Clara listened to his breath, trying to identify the noises. She moved the stethoscope. "And again, please?"
*** James looked at the General and the Professor. "So... How did you escape, then?"

Tyler took another breath for Clara, regretting the whole thing. The reason he hadn't been to a doctor in....well, a very long time. He couldn't even remember the last time he'd been to a doctor. He avoided them at all cost, wanting to avoid any strange questions regarding the location of his heart. He had no idea why it was on the wrong side, but he didn't want anyone performing surgery on him to put it on the other side. He wasn't sure that such a thing could be done anyway, but that wouldn't stop people from trying. He was terrified that he'd become an experiment.
However, if this alien could examine him like this, and not notice, then maybe she really could help him.

Clara listened and, with her Time Lords hearing, she heard his heart. On the right side... Why was it on the right, wasn't it normally on the left? She mentally shrugged it off. Perhaps not all humans had their heart on the right side.
She put the stethoscope around the back of her neck. "Sounds to me like asthma."

(you've got it backwards His heart is on the right when it's normally on the left) Tyler watched Clara with interest before shrugging at her diagnosis. "Maybe.....I don't know....could be...never got tested for it....makes sense. So what do I do about it?" He had no idea why his parents or his doctor had never had him tested for asthma, but he hadn't bothered to really think much about it. He figured that his parents hadn't liked taking him to the doctor for the same reason that he didn't like going...maybe he'd never been to one before. He tried to remember his childhood doctor, but found that he couldn't remember. He frowned.
