It may seem like a strange introduction, but I've decided to write a letter.
The following message was sent from the Torchwood Australia base by Gylfie Murdoch. It was to be received by Ianto Jones, though it addresses all of the Torchwood Cardiff members. It's purpose was to thank the team for a wonderful experience. This was Gylfie's first time meeting with an international Torchwood unit.
Note: I only write for the first season.

Dear Torchwood Cardiff,
It is with great pleasure that I announce a decrease in rift activity here in Australia. The key you gave me has worked wonders on our area. The group of X5485 that invaded the Northern Territory have all been destroyed due to a nitrogen increase in our atmosphere. The government have removed the bodies and all suspicious humans have received Captain Jack Harkness' amnesia pill.
Personally, I would like to thank you all showing me your side of the world. I have never faced the wrath of a lone Weevil before, nor have I been kidnapped by Bruydac. Yet despite being forced through painful interrogations, I'm glad I met you all and look forward to working with you in the future.
