I'm a moderator on another sim game and believe me, half the time I feel like I'm baby-sitting a bunch of third graders. Why is it so blasted difficult for the players to READ the Chat/Board rules??? It's not exactly rocket scientist stuff but every day after I mildly remind them of the rules they always give me the same excuses. "I didn't see the rules." (They have to scroll PAST them to get to the chat and boards!!!!) "I didn't think it meant that." (What do you want, translations of rules like 'no cursing' or 'be polite' ?) "It wasn't me! It was my kid brother/sister, best friend, next-door-neighbor's poodle etc.!" (Yeah, right, like we hadn't heard that one before.) "Everybody else is doing it!" (Only about two others and they too got a reprimand.) It really makes me bang my head on the nearest wall and chew my keyboard at times. And these kids also keep messaging me begging for me to make them a moderator too! I tell them that the job isn't a picnic, it causes headaches and you don't get any perks with it at all. The only reason I keep being a mod is because I love the game and want to help it. That's also why I love this place:) It's more mature and I can actually TALK to you guys without trying to decipher that hidious 'chatspeech'. Sure lovely to communicate with adults once more. (While some of you may actually be young, you do act mature and that's what counts with me.)

Yeah, I can't say that I've had many problems running this place so far. Thanks, everyone for being awesome and following the rules.

We follow rules you say "checks" oh so we do "goes to brake some" On a more serious note Yeah I agree with all this and I find the excuses much more stupid than anything in the whole wide world. But I must say don't call them kids say not very mature saying kids is offensive to kids

What should I call them? Kids to me are people under the age of 21. Sorry but I'm old school, this 'oh don't say that because it may be offensive to someone' doesn't wash with me. That's a bunch of hooey.

actually you will find many mature kids on the internet who get up in arms about it but anyway.
You call call them unmature, hooligans, miscrients, idiots. Or is kids just the nicer way of saying all that

I'm used to being called a kid. It doesn't bother me anymore.
I don't dislike them, though. They just aren't fond of me.
I don't like babies though. You can't be entertained by them. They just cry. And gurgle. And slobber.[/font]

I don't mind older babies, you know, the ones that try to eat your nose every time you go near them? They're funny.
