Sorry...I had to do a bunch of calls today at my internship site...normally I just have supervision today....took longer because of the calls. Anyway, I was thinking about doing a thread that the Mentalist could star in called The Demise of the Annoying Female. Look for it in the Tenth Doctor board. I'm going to go start it now |

Yeah, she's the most annoying character in any movie or TV show or book or any story that I've been exposed to. I can't stand her. I really think she's deceptive and manipulative...and I hope that she's just trying to lead the Doctor on into thinking that they marry each other in the future when they don't. I just have nothing nice to say about her. I don't like people in real life who act like her, and I don't know why the Doctor would ever be attracted to THAT. |

but I think I just have problems with people who try to start a romantic relationship with the Doctor.
AKA:
basically every companion in the new series except Donna.
but River Song is by far the worst.
something about her just irks me. xD

I don't mind it if the romantic relationship is mutual. I like romantic stuff, and I didn't mind Rose and the Doctor because it seemed to be mutual. Rose didn't force herself on him...at least I don't think she did. They just kind of fell for each other.
And, just a warning, Ten may just fall for someone in the RP. (It certainly won't be anyone he's related to, and it will not be River...and it won't be Rose either, as he sent her into the parallel world to be with his clone.)
I actually love clean romances, as long as they are done tastefully. River Song, however, has no tact. She flaunts herself in front of the Doctor, hints at how special she is going to be in his life....and she's just.....annoying. She also tries to show how superior her knowledge is to the Doctor...etc. She's an annoying show off who just....I don't know......there's just nothing good about her. then there is the SPOILERs comment that she always makes, and it's so annoying.
She just acts sexually seductive all the time....and....I just don't know...she's over the top annoying. I have no way of identifying with her. With most characters in TV shows and movies and books I can identify with.....

eh, yeah.
I think it was just kind of a shock for me since I TOTALLY DID NOT SEE THE ROSE/DOCTOR THING COMING.
Yes, I am that oblivious.
because now that I rewatch the episodes it is painfully obvious.
but yeah, I just felt that Martha came on way too strong. Rose was at least a bit subtle. xD
but my problem was that I didn't like Rose as a character. I have no idea why because I really liked her for the first few episodes, but then... I just didn't.  I don't know what changed because I still like her in those first few episodes. Oh, and I like her in a couple of episodes with Ten. <3
but that's just me. -shrugs-
Yeah. River Song just... is irksome.
Which isn't good because I love the actress who plays her!

oh, and it's no big deal if Ten falls in love. Because he's cute when he's smitten. :3
but I think the writers just... made everything happen a bit too quickly.

Like there must be this ORIGINAL Doctor essence floating around to tie all his incarnations together..
and I wonder maybe if like the previous ones are... lodged in his head, somewhere?
because I know the Fifth Doctor had an identity crisis. xD!
but I mean, if I had like ten different voices in my head it'd be so weird. >_<
