Luke sighed and looked forward for a while checking to see why everyone had actually stopped, he had no idea how university worked so this could be part of getting in or something. Looking around he looked at the sea of different colors of people all you could hear was chatter hardly anyone was not talking at all. He was suddenly brought out of his train of thought by two metal clangs, instead of instantly turning around he turned slowly as not to draw suspicion to himself. He looked down at K9 and then up at the girl smiling.
"Not sure so where you from,"
While doing this he bent down and whispered for K9 to scan the girl and waited to see what it would come up with, hopefully she was a normal human, he would take the time to ask her later what she was up to, meanwhile the line started to move again. He made sure K9 kept up so he could get the reading.

((She's a Thyrolian, an OC species. The character bio/submission has a bit more detail in it. But basically, an advanced humanoid race. Hence the arm.))
She saw everyone move to get inside and looked to the boy next to her, then turned behind her. Where was he? He should have been here by now. She then heard him speak to her and she smiled back at the new boy.
"Hmm, me neither. I'm from New York actually, despite the lack of an accent. I'm just studying over here and my friend is working here, so yeah. What, you a local or something?"
She joined the line and looked behind her, not noticing the little dog scanning her. She fidgeted with her hand and chewing her lip. She kept looking behind, breaking out into a huge grin as she heard an odd accent pushing his way through the line.
"I am sorry, excuse me, coming through, I have to catch up with someone, sorry please excuse me!"
She turned back to face the front, grinning very slightly. She then felt a tap on her shoulder, to which she only turned round and leaped into a hug. She snuggled into his suit and hair, keeping a tight hold of him. He smiled also, cuddling her.
His brown eyes were filled with nothing but joy, his arms donned with his tattoos, the tail of his wrist one, sticking out of his black suit. His hair was tied back and his facial hair trimmed very nicely. His tie was a beautiful black pattern, his hand slipping round hers. He grinned at her, cuddling her back.
They let go and held each others hands. He was first to speak.
" Aaaw, look at my pretty lady! All pretty in her skirt and jumper, I am so proud. You make me so happy, you're finally deciding to learn. I am so sorry I made you wait, I finished a surgery late and I know I had to look tidy, so it took me a while."
She replied quickly, patting his suit where she;d creased it. He always came for her, he was so proud that she was finally putting her brains to use and he would do anything to be a part of it. He'd even bought her all the books she needed.
" It's okay, I've not been lonely, if that's what you think Douglas. I've just been talking with this nice guy here."
She signalled to Luke and Douglas waved. He was MUCH older than him, probably by at least 7 or 8 years. But he was still friendly.
"But it's nice you got here sweetie. Oh and look! he has a robot puppy!"
She smiled at Luke, her arm round her man. She hoped he wouldn't find Douglas too scary.

As he was running The General looked back, he saw the girl with the gun, stopped, and watched the girl run off. Haven't I seen her before.... He said to himself before coming back into reality, hearing the teacher's voice, "yes, I saw her, yes it's dead, that's good lovely, OK, wait," he slipped out of reality again, She saw me appear in the street, when I first got here, the Thyrolian.....

The red-head caught up with him and frowned at what the man said to him. He was SO rude. Usually he wouldn't be annoyed, but what he'd said, it annoyed him so much. He thought that only the people that... had made him the way he was did that.And he'd always been so scared of those people...
He was quick to charge into the man and slam him against the nearest wall. Tucking him arm quickly under his chin, the red-head force his forearm up so that the man's head was almost straight up. His speech changed immediately, his stutter dropping and his eyes giving off a murderous glint. He did not know just how much he resembled his former self. And his self, from all those years ago, could reduce grown men to tears and slaughter a person in seconds.
He kept the mans head up, enough to make him squirm.
"Don't ever talk to me like that. I don't care who you are, I'll destroy you just the same."
He stared right at the man against the wall, not caring if anyone came across them. He'd get rid of them too, if needs be. He felt the chain of his watch press against him, the watch in pocket just an item to him.

"I'm from Ealing" that was the easiest thing for him to say and quickest he kinda of wanted to get everything moving so he could find out who she is and lots of other things really. He watched her carefully wondering why the girl was so nervous and walked into the line next to her making sure K9 kept up as well. It was rather crowded once they got in the line.
Then he noticed the man come and talk to her which made him less suspicious about her until the beep from K9. He stood there for a moment then bent down,
"K9 you get anything and not to loud"
"Thyrolian master an advanced humanoid species no other information, suggest contacting mistress Sarah Jane."
"No K9 we have no idea if she is a threat or not," he smiled an stood up and looked at the girl once more least the alien bit covered the metal clang he heard, he was about to say something else but just let slip something instead,
"So what where you doing earlier up in the ally,"
(Hmm trying to decide if that was like luke or not)

Gunman smiled nicely, still keeping a hold of Douglas.
"Ealing? Can't say I've heard of it... but that's probably because I'm not from around here and I'm no good with maps. That's usually his job."
She pointed a gloved hand at the man behind her, who just smiled along. He was quite content enough to just stand with her, but he would watch this boy. He didn't seem like a threat but the two were never too careful.
Douglas flinched a little when he saw the boy talk to the dog. He too whispered something in his girls ear, her eyes dead ahead, to stop any suspicion.
"Look at the dog, thought you might want to know."
She looked to the dog and saw it's master conversing with it. Trying not to be confused, she whispered something back.
"Maybe he's just one of those mad genius types? Who knows, stop worrying, we can handle it."
She smiled back at Luke as he spoke to her about the alley. Her eye widened a little as her hand was squeezed a little tighter. She pulled a worried face as her boyfriend glared at her. She laughed nervously, starting to sweat a little. Douglas glared to her.
"Yes, what were you doing in that alley?"
Gunman's nervous laughed tailed off quite quickly. She made a few sounds of 'Er' and 'um', then formulated an answer. Explaining between the two of them, she went to each.
"Well, y'see, there was a weird green thing chasing after one of the teachers so I did my duty as a person and well... I kinda shot the green thing. But! But! But! If I hadn't, it would have hurt the teacher, so I did good, in a sense."
Douglas waited for a second until hitting his forehead with his palm. He sighed angrily, starting to get angry.
"We left New York to get away from that. We have been here one week. So far, you have; punched a guy, beat a guy up and now you've shot a guy. Are you trying to get yourself arrested or can you genuinely not control your anger?"
She looked away, feeling quite guilty and let go of his hand. She looked to Luke and just shrugged. She wondered how he'd react, telling him something else.
"well, you did ask."

Luke smiled at the fact she had been honest in the respect of being there, but just saying green man well she may have been trying to cover her tracks for her boyfriend but it was somewhat annoying, but what was worrying was what her boyfriend said about her hurting others this did not sound good on her part seeing as she was an alien unless she was killing other aliens but that did not mean she was a good alien or a bad alien.
He Gave her a friendly smile and bent down to K9 once more to tell him to watch her.
"So what you studying," he asked trying to get a conversation going and not make him look suspicious.

He narrowed his eyes at the the man, forcing his arm up more. This man was unusually calm for being half strangled and just who was he, asking to be put down, as if he had some kind of authority. The fact was, the red-head would be very difficult to reason with now, any body could see that. It was the rage in his eyes.
"I don't care if you were lost in the Pacific Ocean, do not ignore me like that. Understand?"
He paused at the second question. Girl? What girl? There was no girl- oh wait. Maybe there had been, that would be it. The core would know about it but as for him, he had no idea, so he answered.
"No. Don't be stupid either, aliens don't exist and if you think this is some kind of joke, trying to make fun of me, then you have a horrible sense of humor. You think I'm crazy enough to believe that stuff? DO YOU?"
He never liked anyone poking fun at him or his condition. He'd known people that had done it of course, but they hadn't lasted for much long afterward.

The girl was quick to notice the boy talking to his dog again, keeping her eye on him. What he was doing, she wasn't sure, but she'd watch him anyway.
She heard his question and shrugged.
"Just biology. Well, the human kind, you know? It's cool, I guess. I have to take another subject as well, so I suppose I'll have to sign up for Physical Education. Not that it's a problem or anything, it'll go well with my main subject..."
She paused, asking the same question back.
"What about you?"
The man behind her sighed, slipping his hand back. He muttered something to her before going back to his cheery self. She frowned for a second too, but went back as well. She smiled at Luke, wanting an answer from him.

"Put me down, I am really busy at the moment," he gripped the handgun in his pocket, he suspected he would need it, The Mentalist was always tough, but as a human, he would hopefully be threatened by it, hopefully.

The red-head smiled maliciously, noticing the man go to his pocket out of the corner of his eye. This could be fun. Taunting him, he didn't put him down yet and said;
"What happens if I don't put you down then? Because I don't plan on it."
He waited, his own hand going to his pocket. He knew he'd brought the tiny knife, he'd made sure his other self had picked it up. This guy would be finished if he tried anything funny.

"Oh well I'm studying Biology as well and physics," he smiled at her wondering if it would be a good thing having her in his biology class, but then she had not presented her as a threat yet so everything was fine by the looks of things. He looked down at K9 then back up at her. He noticed the line moving faster they where just about to go inside.

Douglas smiled too, talking to the boy. "Oh really? That is good! Can I ask you to keep an eye on her in class for me, if you could? I do not want her falling asleep during her lectures."She elbowed him in the ribs and Douglas laughed, after yelping. he gently nudged her back, pulling her cheek and telling her that she would and then she'd fail. Gunman rolled her eyes and spoke to Luke. "Please ignore my dad here. You don't have to man and I'd rather you didn't, need my sleep and all."Douglas nudged her back, faking being upset and shocked. They both laughed at one another and looked ahead. Gunman noticed the line moving forward and passed comment. "Oh now we're moving, hooray! He-he. I know it's only an opening ceremony and all, but, call me crazy, I'm kind of looking forward to it. I want to see who is teaching us, the new teachers and who the top scorers were, they do give a freshman's address here, right?"She looked to Luke, wanting an answer. On her home planet, her older brother had told her of the induction ceremony and how the student who scored the best in their exams and got the highest marks gave an address to the new year (and the previous ones sitting in). Douglas had told her of it too, he'd taken it his year. She was curious, did the humans do this too? Douglas watched the line, to see if was moving forward. He too was looking forward to ceremony, his memories of his university years flooding back to him. He wondered what Luke would say, or if his doggy would say anything. |

Luke smiled at the two oblivious to the fact they seemed pretty close for a father and daughter, but then he thought it was normal he was pretty close to his mum after all so he would of thought of this as normal really. (In one of your other posts you kissed each other and hugged so  ) he nodded to the both of them then quickly spoke realising he had not at the moment. "Yeah sure i will look at for her," he actually meant that well he would keep an eye on her make sure she is not actually a nasty evil alien or something, it would be nice if she was friendly but he could not really take chances. (what actually goes on at the introduction ceremony anyway) When what she said next he just nodded unsure of actually what was going to go on himself he was new to all this. At the same time however he was excited wondering how it was all going to happen new friends new everything. They where finally able to get inside but the line was still moving slowly as far as he could tell they where heading for the big hall in front of them. |
