(oh....guess I should edit my most recent post then.....nevermind...I shall work with this ) Tyler's breathing was getting worse, and there was no way that he wanted to let anyone see him in that state, especially not the Doctor. He had no idea that anyone had been watching him, or that anyone was planning to kidnap him. Not wanting to bother the Doctor when the pirate was in the room, he set the leather bag down near the doorway that he had been standing in, hoping that the Doctor would see it there. Tyler glanced around, trying to figure out where he could go to just sit down and relax, he spotted an area that looked to be quiet not too far from his and the Doctor's room. The room looked unoccupied, so Tyler walked inside and sat down against the wall, trying to breathe better.

The Doctor looked past Blackbeard at the doorway. "Hmmm, I really expected Tyler to be back by now. I suppose I had better go look for him. Excuse me, Captain."
He brushed by the lurking form of Blackbeard, leaving the pirate in a surprised state. He wasn't used to people treating him as just another ordinary person. He was far more used to those around him showing respect and great care.
The Doctor stood for a moment, gathering his bearings, then headed off to where he remembered the hold was.

Dan followed slowly and carefully behind Tyler he noticed that Tyler in some ways was playing into his hands by going somewhere on his own, he waited for a bit then walked into where Tyler was in a friendly manor. "You be Tyler right," once he confirmed what he already knew he took the gun from his pocket and set it to the right setting but still mute he fired to the guys right. "Ah there be one wrong movin from ya and ya be toasted or displaced in Time ya got me, now put ya hands up." He smirked waiting for Tyler to get a move on and then said his next line "Now give me that key," He also moved to be in perfect condition to notice someone come through the door,

Tyler had been sitting there, concentrating on his breathing and hadn't even noticed that Dan had come in until the space pirate had spoken.
Tyler coughed a bit and nodded at Dan. He didn't trust himself to try to speak in the moment. The gunshot, however made him jump to his feet. Clearly afraid now, completely forgetting about the breathing problems, his mind only on his own life.
He heard the mans words, and had no way of understanding what the man was talking about. Displaced in time? This man must be insane. Having now idea how this man knew about the key, he obeyed, putting his hands up.
Frowning, Tyler weighed his options. He thought to himself, "I have to protect the Doctor's key....but if he knows about it......how can I get out of this? How can I protect what the Doctor owns?"
Then it dawned on him that he actually had another key. He had no idea what it went to, but he knew that it was old -- something that had been part of his family -- for it was tucked into a little compartment on the outside of his pocket watch. No one had ever told him what it went to, nor had he studied the key much. It was the only part of the watch that would open, and he knew that it was there. Dreading the thought of giving up something that was truly his -- something that was connected with his watch somehow, he knew that it was the only thing he could really do. He couldn't betray the Doctor, and he didn't want this man digging into his pockets and finding both the watch and the Doctor's key.
Making his decision, he said to the pirate, "If you give me a minute, I'll give it to you."

The Doctor stood at the doorway that appeared to lead down to a hold but still didn't look quite right. "What's the matter with me?" he mused to himself. "This is just an old wooden sailing ship. It's finite. Only so many rooms and floors. So why can't I find my way back? Aft is back and bow is forward......Doctor, this is ridiculous."
Ignoring the odd looks he was getting from some sailors close by because he was talking to himself, he fished out a small instrument from one of his pockets. Holding it up, he studied the screen and the information it gave him. From his expression it didn't really help him much.
"Now why is this happening? First it tells me the TARDIS is in this direction but what is this reading here? Over the side? Not very strong either but....now why would a pirate ship on Earth give out faint temporal energy waves?"
He stood, wavering between finding Tyler and giving in to his own curiosity.

(curiosity Doctor even though looking for Tyler could be cool) Dan sighed and tapped his feet while watching Tyler take his time trying to find the key, Dan wondered what would be in a Time lord TARDIS he had never actually seen one before, but it would be interesting to find out before he stripped it apart. Focusing back on Tyler an idea came to his mind and he slyly smiled and walked around to Tyler the gun was now trained on his back but grabbed at his arm bending it back (if I controlled anything there ill take that out) "There be no funny stuff so to be makin this be better here you shall be walkin to that machine and be opening it for me," He let go of Tylers arm and pushed him forward with the gun "Go on then and ya be makin a step the wrong way and you will be getting it," this was going to be good he had a bargaining chip just encase he ran into the Doctor as well. He nodded to Tyler then pushed him again to get moving.

(Nah, you're fine. The Mentalist has beat him up before. Controlling my character would be posting what he says or does or whatever -- or killing him or something. You're only posting what your character does to my character, so you're okay. You can hurt him, even broken some of his bones, but you can't kill him because I don't want him dead. The Mentalist hurts him all the time in my fanfiction rp. So I don't care if you even break his arm or something but I just don't want him dead.)
Tyler let out a scream when the space pirate had bent back his arm. After the man had let go of his arm, Tyler rubbed it a bit. If he were feeling healthier, he would have considered stomping on the man's toes and running away. However, a lot of good that would do. They were on a ship. He'd eventually run into the man again.
He was still having a significant time breathing, but he would have to come up with some sort of plan. He somehow knew that this man should not be seeing what the Doctor had. As he was being pushed along, he asked the man, "Why do you think the Doctor has anything valuable on this ship anyway....I mean....it wouldn't be the brightest thing to do to bring something of value on this ship."
He said all that in between gasps, as he was having a more difficult time with his breathing now.

(Obviously on the killing part thats like the most religious RP rule of them all and BTW "evil grin")
Dan studied Tyler for a bit he looked weak and not as healthy as a normal human, he grinned at this as it meant he could use that to his advantage, and plus he would be able to have a lot of fun with him maybe even get him begging for mercy or something now that would be fun.
Dan chuckled at Tyler's next question batting him hard around the head just for the fun of it, "Well he would because if you noticed its not very suspicious looking is it," he knew that Tyler would be formulating a plan of escape in his mind but with his precision Dan had the Human would easily be knocked out from a toned down blast. "OH and you wont wanting to try crossing me mate unless ya be wantin considerable pain and suffering.

(to answer your question from the c-box-- question was: Is Tyler human? Answer: Tyler is currently human)
Tyler groaned at the knock to the head. This wasn't the first time that he had regretting having whatever the breathing troubles he had were. The way this man treated him reminded him of some of his nightmares. In them, a red head had beat him badly. It also reminded him of a dream of an older man coming up to him and throwing him around -- someone who was well respected in the community, but not anyone that Tyler knew well. Both of these things had been dreams. Not pleasant dreams, and he had dreamed them more than once.
He hoped that this pirate person wouldn't notice his breathing problems at the moment, but he knew that that wasn't very likely.
How could he get out of this one? Hadn't Blackbeard threatened them all with a -- don't try anything or you'll be sorry type speech? The Doctor was sort of accepted now -- and he had been accepted into being the Doctor's assistant. If a pirate were to come across them -- see a gun pointed at the Doctor's assistant (him), then surely the pirate holding the gun would get into trouble. Then he would have time to warn the Doctor that this man had seen him and knew about the blue box.
His plan, as of right now, was to hope for another pirate to come along.

Blackbeard was more than a bit put off by the Doctor brushing past him without so much as a 'by-your-leave' or even an 'Aye aye, sir!' He demanded rerspect from any and all who was in his general area. As he stalked the deck the other pirates recognized the mood and made themselevs either scarce or very very busy until he passed.
The captain was about to go back to his cabin when he heard the sounds of scuffling. He paused, and frowned. He didn't mind his crew getting into scrapes or even murders when on shore but to do such while on his ship was inexcuseable. Even pirates have their code!
He followed the sound until he spied the two. Unexpectedly it was the two newcomers. "Well now, what haves we here?" he growled. "Couldn't you wait until we hit shore afore ye gets into scrapes? Belay that now! And get to yer stations and work!" He noted how the Doctor's assistant did look rather poorly. "Humph, if yer Doctor's supposed to be good with medications ye ain't the best advertisement for it!"

Tyler's face brightened at the sound of Blackbeard's voice. Turning, he nodded towards Dan. Seeing it as his chance to escape and return to the Doctor, he started moving away from his would be captor.
"Oh...and you might want to keep an eye on him," he nodded to Dan. "He's got a gun, and looks like he wouldn't mind using it on anyone on board if he thought someone had something that he wanted."
Tyler responded to the Captain, "Well...he doesn't know.....I've hidden my problems from him. Please excuse me while I return to him," he managed to get out, although his breathing was still bad.
He really didn't care what sort of additional trouble it would cause him, he needed to get away from Dan now...and as quickly as possible.
He continued to back away from him, attempting to head back to his and the Doctor's room.

Dan quickly hid the gun as Blackbeard came and just nodded to him at the same time another idea came to him it meant he would have to get rid of the bargaining chip. tapping his eye patch once again he searched for time energy on the Tyler and found it on his right pocket. Lookign up at the pirate quickly he slinked of as Tyler spoke getting ready for his next bit which maybe somewhat risky
This time as he noticed tyler coming around the corner he threw a knockout pin on him that should at least knock him out cold and make him forget what happened between him and Dan, at the same time brushed past stealthily taking the key out of Tyler's pocket. He quickly took another direction to get to the TARDIS going another way he turned a few corners to find the TARDIS once again standing before him. (If you dont like that as always just tell me)

(would you mind editing your last post, Dan....it went a little too quickly - it didn't allow me to introduce something else here -- and the time energy thing -- he has something that might kind of protect him from that kind of reading. Otherwise, alarms would be sounding on his device, as he has something besides just the Doctor's TARDIS key -- but I think that other thing would protect him from such readings.
It just seems to me that if chameleon arches are supposed to keep Time Lords hidden, then I would think it would have protective defenses in place to hide potential enemies from detecting TARDIS keys on them. Otherwise, being chameleon arched would put them at a distinct disadvantage when they have a dangerous enemy after them. So, if Tyler has one in his pocket, which he does, and the Doctor's TARDIS key is also in his pocket, it should hide the effects of any time reading.....
Not only that, but if the chameleon arch offers no protection from that kind of thing -- which again wouldn't make sense, given its purpose -- then the chameleon arch itself would be giving off a lot of time energy as well, as would the other TARDIS key that Tyler has. He doesn't know it's a TARDIS key, of course...but....yeah...)

The Doctor gave a quick look around once more then made his decision. "Well, it's not like there's a lot of places Tyler can get lost in. He'll show up sooner or later." He began walking along the side of the ship, his eyes glued on the instrument he held out in front of him. The readings were very puzzling indeed as they kept fluxing in and out. "Strange, very strange. The last time I saw readings like this was from a broken time bracelet. But how could there be one here, and off the side of a ship?"
He stuck his head over the side and looked first up then down the ship's side. He saw nothing out of the ordinary, no time vortex swirling about. "This whole ship couldn't be....." then he shook his head. "Oh don't be silly, Doctor! Why would anyone try to disguise a TARDIS as a pirate ship?"
"Disguise? Disguise ye say? Don't be tellin' old Isiah yer not a real doctor!" came a plaintive voice behind him. He almost startled the Doctor into dropping his tool into the depths below. "Real disappointed, be I then! T'was lookin' forward to bein' able t'use me boathooks again, was I!"
"Oh no! No, of course this isn't a disguise, Isiah! I was just...Tell me, did you happen to see anything unusual on this ship of late?"
Isiah scratched the stubble on his chin with his bent twisted fingers. "Oh...aye."
"And what was it?" the Doctor pressed eagerly.
"Ye, yer assistant and that Dan feller. Be most unusual folk ever I sees, says I!"
The Doctor sighed. "Well, I suppose I should have been a bit more specific. Have you seen any.....ah.....unusual things aboard?"
"Things, y'say?" Isiah resumed scratching.
"Objects you have never seen before, things that may give out a humming, or vibration, or just looked strange."
Isiah shook his head. "Nay, I haven't seen anything of that sort. Be it a sea serpent yer after, Doctor? Or mermaids?" He grinned an almost toothless grin.
"Sea serpents and mermaids would be much easier to deal with, Isiah. No no, this is.....more interesting." The Doctor looked over the side again, trying to peer through the spray and waves. "There's.....something here.....but what? Why is it here and who brought it?"
Isiah joined him in the scrutiny of the ship's sides. "I sees nothin' but the ship and sea, Doctor. Have ye the witch's eye then?"
"No, just a few...advantages of my own." The Doctor looked up at the sound of the ship's bell. Isiah brightened.
"Ah! It be mess time then! Come along there, Doctor! Time for some grub 'n grog!"
The Doctor allowed himself to be pulled along. "Grub would be fine but I believe I shall pass on the grog! Do you have any tea?"

(Since Dan has not corrected the above post yet, we will pretend that it didn't happen. He is free to correct it later, or to just make a new post.)
Grateful for Blackbeard's allowance, Tyler spoke to Blackbeard, "Could you tell the Doctor that I'm looking for him?"
He tried running back to the Doctor's room. He just hoped that the Doctor would be there. He knew all chances of him continuing to hide his breathing problems from the Doctor were gone, but the Doctor had to know about what was going on.
He rushed back to his room as quickly as he could, as fast as his current condition would allow him to travel. Knowing he'd be even worse when he reached his destination, he continued on. He found the Doctor's leather bag sitting where he had left it in the doorway to their room. Picking it up, he carried it with him into the room.
He had a key to his room, as did the Doctor. Although he couldn't be sure that Dan wouldn't try to break into his room, he locked after closing the door behind him.
In a bad state when he returned, he managed to get himself into his bed and rest there.
