There have been many stories about the interaction between the Real World and the Digital World. You have the story of the Digi-Destined, and how they saved the world from Myotismon and then Apocalymon. After them came the story of new Digi-Destined, teamed up with the old ones to save the Digital World from Ken Ichijouji, and then both the Real World and Digital World from MaloMyotismon. Things were peaceful, or so they seemed, though there was a team known as DATS set up to keep the Real World out of harm's way of the wild Digimon. Again, both worlds are put in peril as Yggdrasil, the computer that controls the Digital World at its will tries to destroy both, to create a new Digital World and end the threat mankind holds against it. Luckily DATS is able to stop this from happening, and since then, things have been peaceful, and Digimon have left for the Digital World for good...
Or at least that's what was thought, until reports of Digimon seen in the Real World have been made all over. DATS had disbanded long ago, having no need to continue to see that things between the Real and Digital World be kept separate. But now it appears that they're making a return, and it's not known as to why. What is known is that they have no desire in destroying the Real World at all, but that they seem to want to live in it with the Humans. Yet no Digimon and Human has paired together to become Tamer and Partner. Instead, some Humans are finding that they suddenly do have a Digivice, and that it is used to transform into a Digimon themselves. But they are weak, and unable to Digivolve in the Real World at first, though some have made it to the Digital World and found that they can digivolve from In-Training to Rookie there.
Still, there has been no information founded as to why Digimon have left their home to try to make the Real World theirs. And none of them will talk. It is up to you and the rest of the DigiSouls as they have been labeled to figure this out. Knowing the history between the Real World and the Digital World though, it can't be good...
