there was matter and energy, which took shape.
From its vantage point beyond the universe, Arceus watched as the Pokemon of Legends crafted the world, and it was good for a time. Time and space served their purpose; thought, will and emotion were abundant; even the elements that had been harnessed were championed for the greater good. That's when things changed. In eons past, shortly after the emergence of humans, the natural balance was upset. What we know is that the Legendary Pokemon lost their focus and purpose, beginning their petty rivalries and engaging in wars that threatened the very foundations of the world itself. Arceus was not pleased. In order to stabilize the world and restore the order inherent in his creations, he took action and interfered in the nature of the world, creating a keystone for the world.
It is called Tohea. Just as the rest of the Pokemon world is subject to the whims of the Legendary Pokemon, Tohea is not. It functioned as it should, according to the natural laws of causality and physics. Energy and matter obeyed the unwritten laws of the universe, and it was good. Tohea is a land without gods or monsters.
Unfortunately, nothing good can last forever. Without beings of immense power to revere and cower before, humanity took the concept and applied it to themselves - becoming their own heroes and villains. Organizations of the most corrupt formed, alongside those of the moral and upstanding, shaping the culture of the island for themselves. Amidst all of this, Pokemon Professor Abrina Hazel has developed a new invention - a "Pokedex" - alongside Professor Samuel Oak of Pallet Town in Kanto. Recognizing the island's unique Pokemon population, she has taken over her father's research and is only just beginning to delve into some of the most forbidden secrets of the island. Just why does it have such a broad variety of Pokemon, and where do they come from? What 'special property' does Tohea possess, and what will happen if it is discovered?
