Neku turned to Melody, trying to calm himself down, "Look, this is really getting to irritate me. If you don't believe my story why do you all ignore my propositions to prove that I'm being truthful?" he turned away, this talk was constantly reminding him of his failures, "The especially insulting thing is that you'd believe that I'd try to murder people. I've made mistakes, and in doing so I've killed everyone I ever cared about, but I would never try to kill someone. I have a heart, even if it broke a long time ago."

Melody could basically choke on the fumes from the liquid that makes her a pryodiviner, but she was used to the smell. She began to wonder why the odor wasn’t affecting anyone else. ”Two of us are built differently than the other two. Like the Doctor said, his brain is built to hold more information than humans. So is mine, but I’m not claiming to know everything. I am still just a child, even if my mental age is twice that of my physical body. I can also engulf nearly anything I want into flames with just a thought, but I’m trying my best to keep that tightly under control. I doubt that the Doctor would appreciate me burning us all down…in his ship.” She informed the boy with a control twitch of her jaw. It was the only sign of the trouble she was having keeping herself from creating that spark needed to cause the fire she had just spoke of.

Neku stayed turned around, "So basically it's either stop this argument or burn? I admit the latter has its benefits but I'll stop for now, providing that the Time Lord over there stops insisting I'm working with Torchwood."

The Doctor could smell Melody's fluid and said to Neku as calmly as he could, "Listen....I don't necessary think that you are knowingly working for them. That was just one of the possibilities. As I said before, it could have been -- been a sort of well, planted situation on Torchwood's part. You would then be innocent -- well....the hacking isn't so innocent -- but still."

Neku's brows furrowed, "Doctor..." he muttered, "You're talking as if...as if Torchwood is still active. Why is that?" he asked. When he had hacked the server thesecurity had seemed minimal, he had assumed the organization had broken down many years before.

The Doctor replied, "Oh...but Torchwood is active...very active....at least it should be...."

He glanced at Neku curiously. "So that would explain why you were so adamant with your denial that you were working for Torchwood....there are different Torchwoods at different locations around the world. They're sort of...hard to find....but if you're looking in the right place......"

"What do you know of Torchwood, anyway?"

"Just that they're an alien surveillance and destruction organization, founded after a werewolf attack of some sort. But anyway..." Neku looked down, "The security was admirable but nothing special, I assumed it was inactive. If they're as intelligent as you said then they let me in. They played me. So then...the disruption field...they must have hacked into it. Doctor, I think they knew you'd be here." he said as his brain continued formulating countless possibilities.

The Doctor grinned at Neku, "Exactly...that's what I was trying to get at earlier....it was either that or that you were working for them. Now that we know that you weren't knowingly working for them....that could only mean......" he glanced at Melody.

"I think we've found the answer. Torchwood -- they were the ones testing you and who were following you. And I'm not their favorite person...in fact their entire organization was set up to destroy me....so....."

He gestured to the console, "I suggest that we go somewhere else -- anywhere else.....have a suggestion?"

Glancing between Neku and Melody, he awaited an answer.

Brittany had had enough of the conversation and she rubbed her temples, "Doctor can we leave now? Melody is still in danger you know." She smiled gently at the girl. She would help protect her with her life.

The Doctor glanced at Brittany, "Yeah....that's why I was asking.....anyone have a time or place in mind? Your first trip.....so...any requests? If you don't, well, I have a few places in mind...but....."

Brittany smiled at Melody, "The Doctor picks the most amazing places. You can choose past or future, this planet or an alien planet." Brittany looked over at the Doctor. She was going to travel with him again! Maybe she could get some inspiration for another story. Brittany was excited to be with her friend again. He had changed since she had last seen him, but she was sure that he would just be as dangerous and adventurous as he had been before.

Melody looked between the Doctor, the woman, and the kid. They were waiting on her to chose a destination. The think is she doesn’t know where to go. She’s been to many planets, but her people can’t time travel. A smile graced her lips as she finally came up with a destination. ”How about the nineteenth century?” She asked the Doctor. She had always wanted to go to that time and see what it was all about.

The Doctor grinned at Melody and nodded at her. "Brilliant....now, the only trouble is....I need a location -- Earth, yes....we have a time, but...well, we could land anywhere.....London? Somewhere else?"

He was more than willing to let the TARDIS choose the actual location on Earth to land in, but he wanted to make sure that his guests had their preferences honored. Moving over to the correct console switches and buttons, he prepared to set the time in.

"Traveling with another non-human......should be interesting....it's been a while...a long time, actually."

He ran some of his fingers through his hair.
