The Hunter was sitting by himself in one of the Gallifreyan gardens wondering where his brother had gotten to. His brother and he had always enjoyed flowers and gardens and plants. It made it somewhat difficult because the Doctor was his twin, and they'd been very close. Now it seemed like they almost never saw each other. Ever since the Doctor had stolen a TARDIS, his brother hadn't been to Gallifrey much.

The Doctor hummed along with the TARDIS as the great blue machine landed. He pulled a brightly colored yellow hat on his curls and stuck a hand out of the door. The rest of his body sooned followed out of the TARDIS. His motions were languid, regal, and almost feline. He opened up his multicolored umbrella and shut the doors behind him. He had recently dropped Peri off so that she could visit with her American family and make up whatever excuse his companions made to their parents. He wasn't too concerned about it.
If he was honest with himself he'd admit that he rather liked being companionless. The TARDIS didn't mind his fashion choices. The TARDIS certainly didn't complain about his bold actions. The TARDIS also didn't squeal his name out obnoxiously whenever something went awry. He patted the machine gently, and then readjusted his cat pin. He wasn't sure what had compelled to come to Gallifrey. Perhaps it was Peri's recent nags for him to visit his family so that he wasn't lonely. The girl really didn't seem to understand that he could just get in the TARDIS and skip ahead three weeks if he desired her companionship that much.
But he didn't.
He wandered into the gardens after concealing the TARDIS. His gaze wandered upon his brother - Time Lords seemed to have a way of recognizing each other; twin Time Lords doubly so. Perhaps he had been unintentionally influenced to visit Gallifrey. Six sat down next to his brother and smiled winningly. "Hey." The man shifted positions so that he was lying down amidst the flowers and fiddled with a Gallifreyan flower idly. The Doctor was relaxed - quite possibly for the first time in this incarnation. Trouble had always been nipping at his heels and it was nice to just lie down in a garden next to his brother.

The Hunter was pulled out of his own thoughts when he heard the sound of a voice. Glancing in the Doctor's direction, Tyler smiled. "Hello," he greeted him. "It's been a while...I was just wondering about you.....and....hey...you've regenerated again. How many regenerations does this make it for you?"
He looked his brother over rather curiously. The Doctor hadn't bothered to put on his Gallifreyan robes. That much was obvious. He was wearing the strangest outfit that the Hunter had ever seen on his brother.
"You're...you're not wearing your Gallifreyan robes," Tyler observed.

As his brother pointed out that he had regenerated, Six nodded lazily. "About five times. This is my sixth." He stretched. "Everybody seems intent on murdering me." He wasn't accustomed to laying down in one place for so long. He was generally being chased or hunted by renegade aliens. Not exactly ideal lounging setting. "And yes, it has been quite a while."
He put his hands behind his head and looked up at the sky. "Of course I'm not wearing the robes." The Doctor grinned, turning his head to address his brother. "They have no style! They're just... plain." He propped himself up on his elbows. "Speaking of style, can you believe my last regeneration wore celery?" Six shook his head and sighed, as though Five really should have known better than to wear edible attire.
The Doctor dropped his elbows so that he was once again lying flat on his back. His Gallifreyan robes had been used to put out a fire, but there's no way he'd ever tell his brother that he disrespected the 'almighty' Gallifreyan tradition. Puh. What if the Hunter told on him to his father? "Why do you stay here?"

Tyler once again studied his brother's choice of clothing. He was well aware of the fact that the Doctor liked to wear more human clothing..but he'd never really been to Earth, so he had no idea how humans normally dressed.
"Is that...is that what they really wear?" Tyler asked, pointing to the outfit. He wouldn't consider letitng anyone see him like that.
Returning his eyes to meet his brother's the Hutner answered the last question put to him. "I...I stay because I have a job here....and ....well...mostly because of Kyra."
Kyra was a female Time Lord who had grown up with them and who had been especially close to Tyler. He blushed slilghtly when he'd said her name. "I'm not here all the time," Tyler added. "I have jobs to do for Gallifrey that are sometimes off the planet...besides I do take vacations."

Is that what they really wear?
Six puffed out cheeks. "The stylish ones do." By 'stylish' he was, of course, referring to various clowns in various circuses that he had watched. But of course his fashion statement didn't include a red nose or bowling pins to juggle. "Some of them wear oversized shoes and fake noses. Oh - and some of them don't even wear clothes!" It was the truth, but the Doctor was playing it up. "Don't even get me started about how they sometimes dress up like food. Humans are very bizarre."
He smiled at the mention of Kyra and resisted the sudden urge to reach up and pinch his twin's cheeks. "Are you two..." The Time Lord trailed off, looking for adequate wording. 'Going out' would suggest that he was spending way too much time with Peri. "Significant others?" Awkward wording, but the Doctor supposed that he got the message across, not that he really needed to ask it from the blush that arose from the mere mention of her name. "Blushing isn't good for your blood pressure." The Doctor grinned.

The Hunter looked at his brother and shook his head. "Then what do the non-stylish humans wear?" Tyler looked at the Doctor with disgust when he'd mentioned that some of the humans didn't wear clothes. "They walk around completely indecently then," he commented. Not only was he thinking about naked people walking around, but he also pictured the big noses and feet.
"What do you see in humans, anyway? What does a human look like?" Tyler asked him, having never seen a human -- at least to his knowledge.
"Why would they dress up like food? That would be so impractical -- and...and just weird," Tyler added.
Tyler nodded at his twins questions. "Yes...we've been seeing each other for a while now -- dating -- but we're not engaged yet or anything." The fact that Six had mentioned that he had blushed caused him to turn even a deeper shade of red.

What do the non-stylish humans wear?
The Doctor grinned. "Traditional robes and pinstripe suits." He said with a sigh, as though his brother really should know this because didn't everybody know that pinstripe suits and robes were just terrible choices? "If they really want to look tacky they wear robes and a suit. Humans... sometimes I think they borrow a Dalek's sense of fashion." He grouched playfully.
"What do I see in them?" Such a loaded question asked so innocently. He liked humans because they were versatile. Some of them made his skin crawl with their warped sense of justice and their pompous universe-owning attitude. Most of them made the Doctor proud to be their ally when they battled for peace. Instead of trying to answer such a question, he merely shrugged and moved on to the next inquisition. "They look Time Lord. Sometimes humans just mistake me for some omniscient human from the future. I don't bother to correct most."
His brother's blushing made his already wide smile turn into a real grin. "Yet?" The Doctor repeated. "Does this mean you intend to have a Mrs. Hunter?" He teased. He tugged at his blue picnic tie, pondering over his last statement. He had no qualms over the Hunter... courting Kyra. It did, however, put a dent in the Doctor's plans to kidnap take his brother willingly with him. "I'm sure it isn't healthy to blush that much. You'll get a cerebral hemorrhage."

The Hunter glanced back at the Doctor. "Traditional robes? So ...are the robes very different from our Gallifreyan robes? And what's a pinstriped suit?"
Tyler imagined some horrible outfit that was similar to a garbage bag, sticking out in every different direction.
"Oh...so they are one of the species that resembles us.....interesting."
As the subject of Kyra was once again mentioned, Tyler shrugged. "I....I don't know if she would be interested....sometimes she is very distant....like something is bothering her, or she's not really that interested in me...or something." He sighed. Why did love and romance have to be so confusing?

"They aren't too different, actually." They were both boring and stiff and too meaningful for Six's taste. As his brother asked about what a pinstriped suit was, he sighed long-sufferingly. Why did he always have to explain such fashion? "It's... a suit, with stripes down it. Trust me. It's ugly." The Doctor waved his hand as if to wave away the conversation.
He nodded as Tyler spoke about the woes of the female species. Instead of inputting something such as 'women' or something of equal disinterest, he patted his brother on the shoulder. "You two should go on a date! Some quiet, romantic walk on the beach or something." Oh man, he was spending way too much Peri. He was starting to think like a girl! "You know.. somewhere that isn't Gallifrey." He poked his brother.
Maybe his intentions to whisk his brother away would work after all! If only temporarily. And with someone else. Oh well. At least they didn't have Peri. Thank Rassilion for small miracles, huh?

At the brief description of the suit, Tyler frowned. "Hmmm....that does sound sort of....distasteful." He saw that his brother had waved his hand, and knew better than to press the topic again. The subject had been dismissed, and he would do no more talking about it.
Knowing that his brother was scheming, Tyler grinned. "Just what are you trying to suggest? I......I would have to speak to Kyra about it." He sat there for a moment, seriously considering the idea. Could he really afford to get away from Gallifrey for a few days? He had accumulated quite a few vacation days. And if he did go on a date with Kyra, maybe things could change between them.
He finally nodded, "Yes....it would be possible, but how would I convince Kyra to come?"

"Convince me to come where?" Kyra asked as she just came up behind Tyler. She missed the rest of the conversation, but if they were talking about her, she was interested. She looked over the sixth Doctor and his ridiculous outfit. Finally, she looked at Tyler. It had been too long since she had seen the Doctor, so she didn't really recognize him.

Tyler blushed red again when he heard Kyra's voice. "How long have you been standing here and listening?" he asked her, clearly concerned that she had heard something he didn't particularly want her to hear -- the bit about his feelings for her...and the general subject of her.
"Uh....my brother wants us to come in his TARDIS for awhile....just a vacation...you know....if you want to come."

Kyra quirked an eyebrow. "I only just walked by." What was he trying to hide?
She smiled at that. "That sounds nice. I don't have anything planned, and I could use a vacation. And it's been a long time since I saw the Doctor."

The Hunter grinned at her, letting out a sigh of relief. "Great....I was thinking that I could probably get away for a while as well. And, this is the Doctor, if you didn't recognize him," he said, gesturing to the Doctor. "He's wearing fashionable human clothing," he explained. "Human tastes are far different from mine...but they are another species...."
