Melissa took another sip of her coffee as well.
"Yes, I am a Christian," she said smiling. "And the school that I am attending is actually a seminary, though the theology that is taught there is not really to my liking. That's one of the reasons that I feel so burnt out with it now."

The Doctor allowed Ally to reach out and touch his arm. He knew that she was just trying to comfort him.
He shook his head, "It's all right....it's just that the war is always in the back of my mind, and I still feel the effects of it. It's lonely sometimes....I probably don't talk about it as much as I should."

Then out of sudden curiosity she asked,
"Do you like to travel?"

She looked up and smiled at him. She searched his eyes. He was alone.

Melissa's face brightened at the question.
"Yes, I do like to travel. My family and I used to go on vacations together when I was younger. I went to France with my French teacher when I was in high school. I also went to England and Scotland with my family when my sister was studying abroad there. I've been to quite a few states here, and I have also been to Canada. What about you? Do you like to travel?"

"I have taken companions traveling with me in the past,"he answered. "I like the companionship of another, but I've lost so many over the years....I think it is almost easier to travel alone."

"I love it to. I haven't been may places though. Only places with school, mostly Quebec. As I said, my brother is very protective of me."
Lexi finished of her coffee and placed it in a near by trash bin.

"Oh, excuse me. I have some where to be in about an hour and I don't want to be late."

Melissa nodded with a smile.
She drained her coffee cup and went to throw it away as well.
"Well, I've never been to Quebec," Melissa explained. "The only place I've really been to in Canada is the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. My family and I took a short vacation there once, and we walked around, but we never really got much into other parts of Canada. It must be very pretty there."

The Doctor nodded her way.
"Well, Ally, it was nice meeting you. I have somewhere to be in an hour as well."
Since he was a Time Lord he was always very aware of what time it was. He also knew about how long it would take him to walk over to the building. He had plenty of time -- after all, he had already gotten dressed.
