Clara's TARDIS (was NY 1924)
James looked at her with a knowing look. "Ah," he said as he bent down to pick up the papers strewn on the floor.
Clara frowned then went to held him. "So, New York, about 1886, right?"
James shrugged as he gave the papers to her. "I'm not the 600 year-old Time-Whatever."
"Time Lord," Clara corrected as she took them to put them back where they belonged.

Will crept along the rooftops as he followed the strange noise. It sounded like it was coming from inside one of the buildings, but it didn't sound like a noise that would normally come from inside a building.
Brenna came up beside him and tpped on his shoulder. "Mind if I tag along?"
Will, suprised by her touch, whipped his head to see her. "I told you to stay put."
"Oh, you know me better than that," Brenna teased as she ran ahead.
Will sighed, then took off after her.

"I have no doubt." Lexi said as she walked up to the check out, book in hand.
"Do you want to pick up a coffee or some thing?" she asked as the cashier was scanning the book. Lexi wanted to know more about Melissa.

She hook the Doctor's hand before saying,
"I do have means of travel yes." as she took a round locket off her neck and opened it reveling a small key.
She then opened her small black leather bag and pulled out a round disk that had a hole in the side. Getting it was easy with her gift. Just a little stare in the eyes and the Technical Resources guard let her right passed into the most top secret building on her planet.
She slid the key into the hole into the side of the disk. A hologram screen popped out of the top of the disk, showing a map of the universe.
"It is the latest technology on my planet. I got by a certain way of...persuasion." she said. Persuasion. She laughed on the inside.

"Sure, I would love to get a cup of coffee," Melissa replied.
She was just as curious about Lexi as Lexi was of her. Besides, it was always nice to make a new friend.
Melissa had been in the check-out line directly behind Lexi. She needed to pay for the books that she wished to purchase as well.

The Doctor eyed the key that Ally had shown him.
He was somewhat surprised that she didn't ask more about him, but that suited him just as well. He didn't like to have to give out information about himself to a total stranger unless the person actually wanted to know. Some details he was entirely uncomfortable talking about.
"It looks very nice," he said while admiring the hologram of the ship.
"So.....why did you choose London at this time?" he asked her.

Clara's TARDIS
When Clara returned, she quickly went to getting the TARDIS taken off.
James sat himself in the crystalline chair as he watched her work. He loved how determined she looked whenever she was focusing on what she was doing, as if she knew exactly what she was doing and was willing it to be so.
"Alright, here we go," she said as the engines began to run and the familiar grinding whining sound filled the room and it disappeared from the office.

Will pulled Brenna back a bit as he found the building that the noise seemed to come from. "Come on, this way," he said, moving to a place where they could get inside.
Brenna followed, of course. Will always found something exciting to do, he had a talent for it.
They dropped down into an abandoned flat. Will looked around and followd his ears to where it sounded like the sound was coming from.

Lexi waited Melissa paid for her books then asked,
"So, do you know ny good place to get coffee around here?"

Ally shrugged,
"I don't really know, it seemed interesting. The differences between the status' fascinating, and the way they act towards one another!" she wasn't going to get started on the matter. She wanted to know more about the Doctor.
"So, where are you from and how do you travel?" she asked with curiosity.

After Melissa was done paying for the books, she looked over at Lexi. It was nice having someone wait for her.
"Yes, there is a little coffee shop around the corner from this store."
She moved towards the exit door in the book store.

The Doctor nodded. "Good enough -- though I would rather not discuss humans as though they were objects."
He had a fondness for humans, and he had never liked it when his own race had spoken of them as if they were nothing but primitive animals or objects.
The Time Lord knew that his comment would alert Ally to the fact that he wasn't human either. He didn't care -- she may have already figured that part out.
He sighed before answering her
"I'm from a long way from here -- it's long since been gone....Gallifrey."
He glanced at her, not expecting her to recognize the name, but there was the possibility that she would.
"I have a time ship -- it's called a TARDIS. It can go anywhere in time and space -- and I mean anywhere."

The fresh New York air played with Lexi's hair, forcing her to wipe a golden lock out of her face.
"So, what are you doing in school?" Lexi asked on their way to the coffee shop.

"I don't think of the humans as objects at all. I think highly of them, and their way of living. It's just, some of the rich here." she shook her head.
"Didn't Gallifrey get caught up in a big war?" she asked. She had remembered hearing that somewhere.

As Will and Brenna walked through the rooms of the flat, the odd noise stopped. Will peeked into one of the rooms... it was dust-covered and rather empty, with exception for a rather clean-looking wardrobe. He looked to Brenna and they exchanged puzzled looks before returning to the room. Brenna opened the door with a creak and peeked her head inside.
"You sure it was coming in here?" she asked, unsure that the sound could have really come from here because there was nothing that could have produced such a sound, that she could see.
Will stuck his head out above hers. "I'm sure of it... but where...?"
The door of the wardrobe creaked open a bit and the two quickly took their heads back and closed the door just enough that they couldn't be seen.
A brunette man stepped out of it and stuck his hand back in... taking out a woman with very short ginger hair. He looked at her as if she had made a mistake.
"Well, James, it would look a bit ridiculous to land it in the middle of the street," the woman said after seeing the man's look. She looked around the room. "Okay, so I was a few years off. It'll still look better than it will in 25 years." She turned around and locked the wardrobe.
"I know, I know, I was just teasing you," the man, identified as James, said, pulling her to him. "It's not the Ritz, but who am I to complain?"

Melissa ordered her coffee. She didn't normally drink it, but if someone she was with wanted it, she would drink it as well. It wasn't that she didn't like it -- it was good...as long as it had enough sugar in it, but she just wasn't in the habit of drinking it.
She liked the breeze -- it felt refreshing to her. This is why she liked to go outside.
"Well, I'm studying counseling right now," Melissa answered her. "But I have so many interests. I wish that I could study lots of things.....sometimes I dream of a school that allows for such a thing. I know that's all fantasy, though. We have to specialize in one thing -- unless we want to get a bunch of degrees. No thank you; I'm tired of school."

The Doctor nodded. "I know what you mean..."
He glanced down when she had asked the question about the war, and then looked back at her.
"There was a war, yes -- the last Great Time War. We tried to hold off the Daleks, but we lost. Gallifrey, the Daleks, and all of my kind are gone -- except me. I'm the last one."

(Alright, then. I like the way I've done this so far... though, I can't wait until I actually be able to interact with other roleplayers.)
NY 1889
Will and Brenna looked at each other, puzzled. These two didn't seem to be from around here... and what were they doing in a wardrobe? ...Will could venture a guess, but he wasn't going to say anything on those sorts of matters.
The ginger woman looked to the man called James adoringly. "Are you going to give me some cheesy pick-up line now? You know you already have me, right?"
"I know, but if I don't use them on you, Clara, then how would I ever get to say them?" James asked in reply as he held her close to him. "I think we need to get into costume, they'd pick us out immediately in these clothes, especially you."
Clara smirked a bit, then pulled him back to the wardrobe.
Brenna turned to Will and said quietly, "I think we should get out of here."
Clara, with her Time Lord hearing, heard the low speech and paused. "Crap," she whispered as she moved more quickly, her smirk wiped clean from her face, replaced with the expression of someone who made a huge mistake.
"What is it?" James asked, noticing her alarm.
Will noticed too. "How did she hear us from way over here?" he asked Brenna, testing this person's hearing ability.
Clara looked to James and put her ips to his ear, whispering, "Two, near the door. I don't know how much they saw."
James' eyes widened a bit. "Yeah, let's get inside."

Lexi got herself a double double and went to sit out on one of the patio chairs with Melissa.
"Oh I got ya, I'm taking a break from school right now. Next year I'll go to the university in Toronto. I did well enough to get in, but I just needed a break. I was doing to much in school, it got really bad with all the extracurriculars, I did everything you possibly could. School plays, math club, debating club, all the after school stuff plus all the morning bands and choirs. I even joined the volleyball team once." Lexi sighed.
"I totally get that you're tired of school." she concluded.

"Oh, Doctor, I'm so sorry." She looked down for a minute, not wanting to push the subject anymore, but she had to ask,
"Are you really the last of your kind?" Laying the words down softly.

Will and Brenna watched as the two quickly went back into the wardrobe. It didn't look like a very comfortable place to be, and a bit of a childish place to hide.
"Who are those people?" Will asked, mostly to himself, as he moved forward to investigate.
Brenna followed, her curiosity overriding her fear of getting in trouble.
They slowly went to the wardrobe, looking it over, mentally measuring it and trying to figure out how two fully-grown people could fit in it.

Meanwhile, inside the TARDIS, Clara was pacing around with her hand in her short hair and James was sitting in the chair, waiting for her to come up with something.
"Maybe they'll just leave," she finally concluded. "I mean, we can't just move, that would leave them with more to tell. And we can't go and try to explain it away, they would probably know better.
"Maybe," James said, being purposefully unhelpful as he got up and headed for the dressing room.
Clara looked over to him and sighed. It would probably help to get into some time-accurate clothes.

Brenna examined the woodgrain on the wardrobe, thinking that it looked a bit beat up.
"There has to be some way that they could fit," Will said as he looked over it.
Brenna looked at the back, it was pressed firm against the wall. "Hey, Will. You think that maybe it's not really a wardrobe?"
Will came over to her and looked over at the back of the wardrobe. "Let's make sure," he said as he put his hands on the edge and pulled it away from the wall.
Clara rushed to the front door as she buttoned her dress the rest of the way. She poked her head out the door as she felt the TARDIS moved under her. "Hey! You two, leave the wardrobe alone!"
Will and Brenna jumped back when they saw her pop out in clothes that were more appropriate for society.
James stepped out behind her, again, in more time-appropriate clothing.
"How did you...?" both Will and Brenna asked, puzzled at how they could both get changed in such a small wardrobe and where those clothes came from. Will went over to peek into the inside, but Clara quickly closed the door before he could even get a glance.
"Don't you know about what curiosity did to the cat?" Clara asked with her hands on her hips.

"It makes sense to take a little break from school. I took a year off between graduating from college and going to graduate school. I'm glad I did, but the classes in graduate school burned me out. It isn't that I don't like learning, but rather, I got sick and tired of the content that they DO teach. Sometimes it seems that I'm not even learning anything valuable. I like seminar type classes better than lecture, especially when you get to the graduate level."
She paused, "Yeah, I was in some extracurricular activities when I was in high school...and some in college. I was in French Club, National Honor Society, Science Club, SAAD (Students Against Driving Drunk), band, AFS (which helped the exchange students), Foreign Language Club, and Campus Life (which is affiliated with Youth For Christ). I also took ballet lessons for a while, and was involved in Girl Scouts and 4-H," Melissa explained to Lexi. "That was all when I was in junior high and high school."
"When I went off to college, I was a part of a group called Emerging Leaders, I was a part of the Residence Life staff, I was in a pro-life group called Rock For Life, and also several Christian organizations on campus. The biggest of these was Campus Crusade For Christ," she finished.
"At graduate school there really aren't any extracurricular groups, which is somewhat disappointing. Groups and organizations really help to enhance the whole experience."
Melissa continued to sit across from Lexi, sipping at the coffee that she had ordered.

The Doctor nodded in order to acknowledge to her that he had understood her. Even after all this time, it still hurt to think about the war and all those that had been lost.
"Yes, I am the last of my kind," he repeated to her. "I was the only one who could end the war. I pushed the button that took everything away -- I watched Gallifrey burn. There was another one -- an evil one -- he survived the war, but now he's gone too."
A few tears slipped down his cheek as he thought about the war and the friends that he had lost. He wasn't angry that Ally had questioned him again, though had she not been an alien, he might not have allowed himself to be so vulnerable in front of him. However, Ally wasn't human...she understood the universe in a wider way than did humans.
