This is like a get to know you thread, only we're specifically talking about your beliefs and your worldview. Feel free to be as detailed or not as you want. I will start.

As some of you may or may not know, I'm Christian.
The entire reason for this subforum is based on an idea that I got from a sermon that was given at my church last Sunday. My pastor decided to do a sermon series on movies -- and part of the sermon last Sunday was that there is a whole theological discussion taking place in our society, but the church and Christians are not really part of it. A lot of people are seeing stuff in movies and asking questions -- questions that are theological in nature -- such as the meaning of life, etc. Since we're doing a RP on Doctor Who, I thought I'd open up a topic for people to discuss these kinds of things. It doesn't necessarily have to be Doctor Who related theological questions -- but just a place for people to come in and discuss stuff.
Now, for more about my beliefs: Like I said, I am Christian. I hold to the historic beliefs of the church...beliefs that can be found in such writings as the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed. I would be considered theologically evangelical (and I know that's a loaded term in today's society. Basically, it just means someone who is orthodox in belief. The actual word has nothing to do with politics. It's unfortunate that it's taken on such political connotations in some parts....) or conservative (again, this is theological, not political).
Now, let me illustrate a little of what I mean by that: 1.) I believe in the Trinity -- there is one God, and He is triune -- within the unity of the Godhead there are three coequal and coeternal persons -- the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit -- of one substance 2.) I believe that Jesus Christ was an actual historical figure 3.) I believe that Jesus is both fully (100%) human and fully (100%) God. 4.) I believe that He physically died and that he physically rose from the dead 5.) I believe that Jesus is coming back someday 6.) I believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins and that whoever trusts in Him as their Lord and Savior is born again regenerate. This is a spiritual rebirth. Also, that a person is fully forgiven of their sins because of (on account of) what Jesus did....not because of anything that we've done. In other words, a person can't earn a rightstanding with God.
If anyone wants to know more about the Christian faith or my beliefs, I would be happy to engage with anyone in a respectful discussion.
Another interest of mine is apologetics......but yeah...that's me...

I'm a Haruhist and a Pagan Haruhiism is a religion based around a high school student living in Japan named Haruhi Suzumiya. Even though there is some disagreement between whether Haruhi is the one god or not, there is not one bit of doubt among all sects of Haruhiism that Haruhi becoming bored is a very bad idea. But you can call me a Heathen for short.Heathen is from Old English hæðen "not Christian or Jewish" (c.f. Old Norse heiðinn). Historically, the term was probably influenced by Gothic haiþi "dwelling on the heath", appearing as haiþno in Ulfilas' bible as "gentile woman" (translating the "Hellene" in Mark 7:26). This translation was probably influenced by Latin paganus, "country dweller", or it was chosen because of its similarity to the Greek ἐθνικός ethnikos, "gentile". It has even been suggested that Gothic haiþi is not related to "heath" at all, but rather a loan from Armenian hethanos, itself loaned from Greek ἔθνος ethnos. If you would like to discuss Either of these seriously then please do not hesitate to send me a message Please Note This post while being light hearted is 100% Serious

This are new waters for me, I personally don’t like discussing religion in the internet(and that a bit weird knowing my faith). But I’ve see some religious threads get ugly, but I think everyone here is pretty mature toward that(looking at this thread. I was born in a place were religion freedom wasn’t that natural, but I was lucky to grow in times that this was opened a bit. So I went to a Catholic school/church on Sundays(it was a house) and I was later baptized. When my family won a visa and moved I entered into a stage of my life were I didn’t feel very religious. During this times I held my faith in God, but not in the church. Lately I have returned to my studies of the Bible and I’m hoping to get baptized in the future. So as of now you can say I’m a non-baptized Jehovah Witness. You can really ask me anything about this, I’m still in the learning stage, so my knowledge won’t be the same as someone that has already baptized, but I will try. But to put is it simply, I don’t believe in the Trinity. I think that God, Jesus Christ and the Spirit and not the same God. But yes, I believe the Christ was God’s son and that he will return. I think this page explains it better: clicky

Hey, thanks for contributing, everyone I am editing my response because I felt convicted last night. I wasn't sure if my original response might have come off wrong. Please feel free to create threads and what not and talk to people in this board about theological stuff
