"I'm sure it does. I'd ask what you'd be doing, but I'm sure it's all Top Secret and all," the Librarian said grinning a bit.
She couldn't help a curious glance at the new person. She saw he had returned to his reading and she tried to see what he was reading from a distance.

The Bringer sighed, closing his book, "If you're going to talk about me could you at least have the courtesy to do it to my face? If you're wondering who I am I'd be more than happy to tell you."

The Librarian looked up, a bit taken aback. "We aren't talking about you," she said. Not anymore, she thought to herself. "But, yes, I would like to know who you are and why I haven't seen you before. I work at the Library and I see almost everyone there. I would expect to see an avid reader like yourself very often."

The Bringer smiled, "The library? Pleasure to meet you, I'm the Bringer. Now, as to why you don't know me..." he chuckled as he held up his wrist, "I've been on an off-planet lab for a while now, almost two hundred years I think, working on this. It's called a TAQDIS, it's essentially a TARDIS that operates on thought, customized to my brain waves. I think it, and I go there. I only just returned home, decided to stop at the library first, then I came here for some air."

"Oh, you must have come while I was talking to someone," the Librarian said. "Well, nice to meet you Bringer, I'm the Librarian." She glanced at Aragorn, knowing that he would rather talk to her privately, but she was very curious about this fellow.

"The Librarian, what a fitting title." the Bringer chuckled, "One moment please." he said as he TAQDIS'd back to the library and returned his book before TAQDISing back to the garden. Granted he could have waited until later but he wanted to run it in, he'd only used it four times now anyway. "Sorry about that, just finished the book." he said, waiting to see her reaction to the abilities of his TAQDIS.

The Librarian had frowned when he chuckled at her title. That seemed to be people's first reaction.
But when he disappeared like he did, she stared at the place he had been in shock and awe. She quickly tried to hide that look when he came back. She saw the book was missing from his hand and heard him. "Oh, alright."

The Bringer noted the Librarian's frown, "Sorry if my reaction to your title was somewhat rude, you'll understand that my social skills are lacking at this point in time, I've been 'out of it' for a while, being holed up in a lab." he said with an uneasy laugh.

"Yeah, I'm sure. You did a good job on that, from what I can tell. How does it work?" The Librarian couldn't help being curious about it. Aragorn may have been top of the class, but she was right up there, pretty close.

The Bringer smiled, "Well it's formed from traditional TARDIS coral, shaped by a void of nothingness and my own thought, a little matter alteration idea I put together a while back. After the shape was made it's linked to the Eye of Harmony, then altered on the quantum state to make it only respond to thought focused at it, at which point it activates itself in the same way a TARDIS would. From there I fine-tuned it to only respond to the frequencies of my brain waves, then worked on it to fix the bugs. There's probably an issue or two I couldn't fix, and it can only transport one person at a time, unless I use the Emergency Mode which burns it out for 24 hours." he said, a little embarassed on how much he dragged on for.

Aragorn grinned in return. "Well now...no one has to know that I told you."
His expression changed. "It's not that secret now anyway...now that news has broken out that I want to go on it. You could even put in a bid to come along. Supposedly aliens from Pasejinar are operating on the planet. Intelligence suspects that these aliens could be plotting to destroy the Earth or enslave its people. As I know you are well aware of Gallifrey's non-interference policy, the situation is such that the result from the alien's plans could directly impact Gallifrey. However, we must be careful that the aliens are not onto us. It is a long term mission -- probably take several months. I suspect that Gallifrey won't go far enough in assuring that the beings on Earth are safe."
Aragorn glared at this Bringer person when he talked about his thought device. "It's my understanding that the Council never really approved of the idea. There are too many errors that could go wrong...it sounds dangerous." He was finding this Bringer person to be slightly on the annoying side. He never liked people who flaunted their intelligence in the manner that they did. In Aragorn's opinion, it showed a lack of maturity and actually a bit of stupidity.

(don't imply that one of my characters has approved something unless they actually have. Correon would not approve of the TAQDIS, as none of my characters will approve of it. Please edit your previous post.)

((Sorry, deleted. I didn't mean that he approved of the creation itself, just that he didn't want the Bringer's life's work to go to waste.))

The Librarian nodded as she listened to them both, sending to Aragorn, "That certainly does sound dangerous. I might as well put my name in for consideration, need some book smarts in there. Besides you, of course. I could use a break away from the more rude High Council members, as much as I enjoy the work."
She looked over at the Bringer. "It's really fascinating, though."

The Bringer smiled, "Thanks, your friend's right though, there are probably a couple of problems still in there and the Council didn't exactly approve it. They'll probably be a little angry that I took so long, send me in a mission or something as a punishment. Oh, by the way, has anything noteworhy happened in the past couple centuries? I had an information feed from Gallifrey but it might have missed a few things."
