A male Time Lord by the name of Aragorn (though his actual name is longer in Gallifreyan), took a walk in one of the gardens on Gallifrey. He'd had a long day so far, and it was only the early afternoon. Reflecting on his day so far, he took a seat on a bench.
This man also happened to be the King of Gallifrey. Although Gallifrey was pretty much ruled by the Gallifreyan High Council, he still had a lot of influence, and was highly respected. He was a member of the High Council himself.

(Dragon, this isn't fanfiction.net boards...please try to write around 5 sentences for each of your posts. That's listed in the rules.)
Emmehujidat walked into the library and searched for the Librarian. It wasn't that he actually liked dealing with her. Rather, it gave him a chance to show off his superiority to other Time Lords. Not seeing her, he rang the bell on the table, yelling out.
"I want your help in finding a book," he demanded.
Since Emmehujidat was part of a well respected family on Gallifrey, he thought that he had the right to demand the attention of "lesser" Gallifreyans any time that he wanted.

The Bringer sat in his lab, putting the finishing touches on his TAQDIS, just a few more adjustment and it would be done. The link to the Eye of Harmony had to be double checked and the brain wave alternator needed to be adjusted to his personal brain waves. "And.....done." he muttered as he strapped the TAQDIS to his wrist, "Let's take you for a spin." he said as he closed his eyes and pictured the Gallifreyan library. When he opened his eyes he had reached his destination, "Perfect." It was then he recognized Emmehujidat, the one from the Council who'd tried to deny the creation of the TAQDIS. Quickly, he ducked behind a shelf.

Kari sat outside underneath a tree not too far from her campus. It was a beautiful, warm day. She pulled out a book and started to read. As a respected graduate student, she had been assigned a leading role in an important research project. Her adviser had just informed her that there would be a few students from another institution that would be joining them. This really wasn't all that unusual, as it was important for various colleges and universities to work together on research projects. Right now, though, she just wanted to lose herself in a book.

In the depths of space a distortion appeared from which emerged a battered silver spaceship. On its darkened bridge a door hissed open and a dark wheelchair ridden figure joined the white dalek forms working at various consoles.
"Is the time jump completed?,"he intoned in a cold scientific voice. "Affirmative Em-peror"a Dalek who seemed to be directing the others informed him,"These are the tem-poral coordin-ates of the D-N-A records matching fifty per cent of the Doc-tor's."
The ship glided silently on through the void making at tremendous speed for a small level five blue planet far in the distance...
"Good,"smiled Davros,"Set course for Sol 3,we must locate the human that genetic print belongs to.The doctor shall be defeated and the true Dalek time line shall be restored!"
The ship sailed silently on through the void making for a small level five blue planet far in the distance...

Among the many stacks and shelves of books, the Librarian was sorting them out to be put back where they belonged. She really did enjoy the job, it was simple, paid well... well, well enough... and she could check-out almost any book she wanted. As if she really needed to, she had already read almost all of them.

Lani ran through the campus, saying softly to herself, "She's going to be late again. I've told her and told her, but she never lis-..." That's when she saw Kari just off of campus, reading a book, as usual.
With a frustrated sigh, she ran across the street to her. "Kari, do you have any idea what time it is?"

Gallifrey Emmehudjiat, annoyed that no one was coming to his assistance yelled again, "Hey, Librarian, where are you! I need your help. What do you think you're paid to do? I shall have to talk to someone about cutting that salary of yours. You aren't even available when a High Council member needs help." _____ Earth Kari, of course had no idea that there was an alien ship headed straight for Earth. In fact, she didn't even know that there were any aliens in the universe. Kari continued to sit where she had been sitting for the past several hours. Upon hearing Lani's voice, she looked up to see Lani.
"No....I don't have my watch on. What time is it?" she asked.

"It's almost 6:30. Come on, get with the program. What happened to the watch I got you last Christmas?" Lani asked, a bit hurt that she would forget it.

The Librarian sighed frustratedly, then went to where she heard Emmehujidat spouting off. She gathered herself before she came into his view. She didn't really care about him cutting her salary, but she wasn't about to make him up the ante.
"My apologies, I'm a bit short-handed so I have to do the restocking myself," she said.

Emmehudjiat glared at the Librarian once she finally had come into view. "Why can't you do the restocking before the library is open or after it closes each day...or hire someone else to do it...you could pay them part of your salary. You are paid too much, as it is. Someone of your social status shouldn't earn as much as you do. You aren't even married, and you have no children."
He paused before looking her right in the face, "Are you going to help me or not?"

Kari responded back to Lani, "I left it on the dresser....I just forgot to put it on today."
She could tell that Lani was slightly upset.
"I didn't mean to forget, you know. It just happened. I guess I had too much on my mind."

"Well a watch is meant to be worn, especially by someone who gets as distracted as you do," Lani said. "Don't you have a class this evening?"

The Librarian blocked out the part about how he thought she should do her job. "Yes, I can help you."

"I want your full attention and respect, first of all," Emmehujidat sneered.
"Secondly, I would like access to the rare book section...."

Kari looked back at Lani. "Usually, but I got an e-mail from the professor. Class is canceled tonight." She grinned. "So no worries....Do you happen to have any plans tonight? We could have a girls night out if you don't....."
Kari looked her best friend over very carefully, hoping that she wouldn't be too busy.

The Librarian bit back her tongue, then said, "You have my fullest attention, but I need identification and clearance for the restricted section."

"Well, you didn't tell me, so how was I supposed to know? You could have, at least, texted me... or did you leave your phone at home too?" Lani asked, a bit relieved, but frustrated that she hadn't been updated.
"Of course I don't have any plans tonight, I never have any plans because I'm running errands for my roomates all the time."

Emmehujidat glared at the Librarian.
"Do you not know who I am?!" he yelled at her. "Your insolence will not be tolerated. I don't need authorization when I'm on the High Council, you simpleton!"
Emmehujidat reached into his pocked and pulled out the authorization form, shoving it in her face. "Happy now?" Emmehujidat asked as he snickered.

"I don't have to tell you every detail of my life, now do I?" Kari responded.
"Well then, what do you say to a girls night out? It seems like forever ago since we had our last one. Maybe we can just all go for a walk. It's still warm out..."

Lani decided to keep her comment to herself. She knew how much Kari liked her privacy, but she needed to know in order to make sure that she didn't miss something because she had lost track of time again.
She thought about the idea of a girls night out and nodded. "We all could use that."

"Thank you, sir. I'm only doing my job. Someone could easily come in and pretend to be on the High Council, pretend to be you," the Librarian said as she took the form from her hands and looked at it, then she added to herself, "though I'd know that condescending tone anywhere."
"Alright, it checks out," she said as she handed it back to him and made her way to the rare books section, taking the key out of her pocket as she walking down the steps to his level. Her trainees were keeping an eye on the counter while she was gone.
"Right this way," she said to Emmehujidat. Now he was about a head taller than her, but she didn't mind, she never minded.

Emmehujidat followed the Librarian. He smiled. The thought of someone wanting to pretend to be him was quite flattering.
"Better make it fast," she snapped. "I have an important meeting this afternoon."

Kari looked back and smiled, putting away her book.
"All right then, let's get going. Allons-y." She paused for a moment. "Well, it's French...you know that I took French. I like saying it."
She had studied French, and it was one of her favorite subjects.
