Correon replied to Dahlia, "Well, there are other librarians here -- they would be able to run the place, I think. Although, I have to say that you are my favorite -- well, both you and your sister -- when your sister was still working here."
Correon paused. He'd been suspicious about what had happened to the Librarian. The official story that he'd heard was that it was some sort of accident that put her into the state that she was in, but he wasn't quite sure that he bought it. ________ Tyler nodded, "Sure....um....I'm not very good...but let me try to teach you."
Umm....try to concentrate on sending me a message -- like you would talk to me...only think it...and think about me and sending it to me...and....it takes a lot of practice....
Tyler blushed, hoping that he had explained it well enough. It was hard to explain this to someone else.

Kyra blushed as she thought of Tyler. Like this? she thought.
*** Dahlia sighed. "Yes, I suppose."

Tyler nodded, "Yep, just like that...now ask your mum....about the registration.
He smiled at her in approval. _______ Correon spoke again to Dahlia, "I'm not trying to pressure you....but I didn't want anything to prevent you from helping, if you wanted to."

Kyra grinned. "Thank you." She then turned her mind to her mother. "Mummy! Where are you?"
"Kyra?!" came a familiar voice back to her.
She smiled even wider. "I learned how to contact you with my mind. Where are you? You have my registration papers."

(Hey! Sorry about the absence. Been busy -_-)
The librarian smiled thinly at Tylerhathan, not wanting to seem too irritated. This man hadn't done anything wrong...his son and the other boy were to blame.
"Yes..It seems that your son and his friend have been causing a disturbance in the library. There are books on the floor, some in quite a deplorable condition. I would appreciate it if they returned to clean up their mess." ________
Rodaj listened to Tyler's conversation with the new girl, Kyra, and smiled, turning to his friend. "How did you learn telepathy so quickly?" He asked in wonder. He thought he'd seen Tyler do it earlier to reach his brother, but he hadn't been too sure.

"Probably learned with help from his brother," Kyra told Rodaj, blushing immediately afterward. "Sorry... sometimes I talk too much." She telepathically informed her mother of where she was.

Tylerhathan stared at the man with a somewhat confused look on his face.
"I....I really don't think so -- my son, he's not one to do something like that. But....I will check with him. I've never known him to do something like this before....I'm told by one of the other librarians here that my boys are a delight to have in the library. I'm sure that she would have mentioned something if she saw Tyler do something destructive."
Hoping that his son hadn't been responsible for the condition of the library, he gestured to the man for him to follow him outside, where he would discuss the incident with his son. ________ Tyler grinned at Kyra in return. "Yeah, no problem...."
He then heard what Kyra had asked, and Rodaj's response. Nodding at what Rodaj had said, he added, "Yeah...I don't know...but my brother and I figured it out together. It actually took longer than you might think. We tried it over and over again until we worked out how to do it.
To Kyra, Tyler specifically asked, "So did you get a hold of your mum? Is she taking care of the registration process for you?"

"Um... I forgot to ask that," Kyra said sheepishly. She then sent a quick inquiry to her mother. "Yeah, she's taking care of it."

Mildly annoyed at having to leave, the librarian followed after Tylerhathen. He was determined to make someone clean up the mess that had been made. It would only be right. ______ Rodaj smiled, intrigued and tiled his head. He wanted to learn more about this telepathy thing; maybe even how to do it. He realized that it would have to wait until later, though, as he glanced up and noticed Tylerhathan walking down the steps with a librarian in tow.

Nathan finished putting on the braces, glancing up at Koschei when he was done. _______ Tylerhathan let out a sigh. He really hoped that his son wasn't the one responsible for the mess in the library.
Tyler was about to make another response to Kyra, or even ask if Rodaj wanted to learn, too, when he looked up to see his father and an angry looking librarian come out of the library.
Once Tylerhathan was even with where the children were, he asked Tyler a questions, "Son, were you in the library earlier today?"
Tyler studied the serious expression on his father's face. "No....." He wasn't quite sure where his father was going with this. "I wasn't in the library today except just now when you carried me inside."
Tylerhathan looked uncertain, "Are you sure about that?"
Tyler nodded. "Yeah...why??"
Tylerhathan decided to ask the question a different way. "Were you in the library maybe yesterday or the day before?"
Tyler nodded. "With Nathan."
Tylerhathan asked, "And when you were in the library, did you take books off the shelves or do anything else with the books?"
Tyler nodded. "Yeah, Nathan and I took a few books off the shelves so we could read them...."
Tylerhathan asked, "And what did you do when you were done with the books?"
Tyler replied, "What we were supposed to do with them -- we put them back..."
Tylerhathan asked, "On the shelves?"
Tyler nodded, "Yes....." He didn't understand where his father was going with this.
Tylerhathan asked again, "And you didn't throw any on the floor today?"
Tyler shook his head. "I told you I wasn't in there today. Rodaj and I were going to go in, but there was this mean kid who pushed us and went into the library."
Tylerhathan turned to the librarian, "Well, he says it wasn't him. One of the other librarians knows my boys well....she can vouch for them...her name is Dahlia."
Tylerhathan sent a telepathic message to Dahlia, "Would it be possible to come outside for a minute. One of the other librarians is convinced that Tyler made a mess of the library."
________ Emmhujidat made his way to the library. Once the building was in sight, he waited behind a bush, looking to see what was going on. He smiled with glee as he saw that at least one of the twins WAS there. He was sitting on the library steps. However, Tylerhathan was there with one of the librarians. He would have to wait until Tylerhathan left before he could make his move.

Dahlia sighed and came outside. She looked at her underling, then at Tylerhathan, glancing over the children before looking back to the librarian. "What seems to be the problem?"
Kyra watched them, confused. Did Tyler make a mess in there? He didn't seem like the type to.

Tylerhathan nodded in Dahlia's direction. "Thanks for coming out. I just wanted to clear something up." He wore a serious expression on his face.
"The books -- the ones that I saw that were on the floor, the ones that you were repairing....was that mess made before today? And if so, when? If not, then did you see my son here in the library earlier today?" Tylerhathan nodded in Tyler's direction.
"Also, did you happen to know who made the mess or see who it was?"
Tylerhathan was anxious to get his son's name cleared so that he could go ahead with his business for the day. If Tyler HAD really done what he'd been accused of, then Tyler would be in big trouble. Tylerhathan needed to know.
Emmehujidat strained to try to hear the conversation, although it was slightly out of his range. Of course he had no way of knowing that his own son had caused the problem that Tyler was being questioned about and blamed for.
Tyler glanced at Kyra nervously, afraid that he would get into trouble for something he didn't do.

The librarian sniffed officiously and looked down at Tyler before meeting Tylerhathan's eyes, and those of his superior.
"The mess was from today, sir. When I came in this morning, every book was in its proper place - not on the floor." He ran a hand through his hair. "I was minding my own business, when a child of about your son's age-" he nodded to Tylerhathan again. "came up to my counter and told me that two people matching the description of your son and his friend had come into the library earlier and," He thought about this for a moment, trying to choose the right word. "Defaced library property." The librarian looked down at Tyler again, wishing for all the world to be back at his counter and at work instead of in the middle of a questioning. "I don't recall seeing him before now, but it has been a busy day. He could have easily come and gone without my knowing."
He hadn't actually been around to see the incident in question as it had occurred. He'd only come in just after the fact, and had believed the other boy's claim. ________
Koschei stared at Nathan again for a long moment, before nodding and offering the other boy a hand "Come on, then. We'll have to head back soon. I really would like to see your house before we do."

Dahlia sighed. "I know this boy. He isn't the type to, as you say, deface library property. It may be that the boy you talked to misinformed you. I wouldn't be surprised. Children around here can be rather mischievous. I don't blame you at all for this misunderstanding, but the problem is fixed now. There is no sense in trying to figure out who did it now."
She looked to Tylerhathan. "I am sorry for the trouble."
Kyra looked at Tyler, not sure what to think of this.

Little Tyler frowned when he hear that another boy had blamed the library's condition on himself and Rodaj. Deep in thought, Tyler remained silent while the adults talked. When there was finally a break in their conversation, Tyler thought out loud.
"Wait...Rodaj and I only just met a little bit ago....he's never even been inside the library in his whole life....well, not until we were inside with my dad...." He glanced at Rodaj. "I don't even know why someone would say that....we WERE going to go into the library earlier, but there was this mean kid who.....wait, what did the kid who 'told on us look like?'
Tyler glanced at the male librarian for an answer.
Having guessed that this kid might have been the one who had made up the story that they had been the ones who had caused the trouble, Tyler continued on, without giving the male librarian a chance to answer.
"This mean kid came up to Rodaj and me and told us to get out of his way. He was really mean and insulted us and when we wouldn't get out of his way, he shoved us. We weren't really in his way. We were just sitting on one of the steps, but we weren't blocking them...he could have gone around us. That's how we both cut our lips." Tyler pointed to the spot that had bled earlier.
Tyler than described the mean child.
Tylerhathan hadn't even noticed the bloody spot as anything particular -- his two boys were getting little cuts and whatnot all the time.
Tylerhathan's face reddened in anger. He knew who the mean little kid was -- but he said nothing, waiting to see what the others would say.
He turned to Rodaj and asked, "Is that what happened?"
Tylerhathan then turned to Dahlia, "It is quite all right. I know the child that my son spoke of.....and, from the sound of it, he'll grow up to be just like his father." Still angry with the boy, Tylerhathan took a deep breath. "I just wish that his family would leave mine alone."
Tyler glanced back at Kyra, feeling embarassed by the whole thing. He didn't want to have to admit to getting beaten up in front of a girl. _______________ Nathan accepted Koschei's help. Once he was standing again, he said to Koschei, "Thank you....yes, let's go...."
He started to head in the direction of his house once more.
