A Seemingly Peaceful Day

Waleffijegrutadekuj replied, "I just wondered....what about his brother...the Hunter?"

He studied Kyra's face. He'd definitely heard some things about Kyra and the Hunter, but he'd been away for a while, being kept busy with his own work. He really didn't know if the rumors were true. Some people had mentioned that they thought the two were dating, some said they were engaged, and others said that they were married. For his sake, he hoped that the rumors were all untrue. He knew how Time Lords could talk sometimes.

He searched Kyra's face for an answer.

(new twist we haven't seen regarding Walef, huh Ten?)

Kyra shrugged. So many people were telling stories. Some were right on the nose, some were off. She hated how people always talked and she didn't want to talk about it.

Waleffijegrutadekuj stared at her, afraid of the answer that she would give, but he was determined to find out. "Well..." he attempted to prompt her. He saw the shrug and smiled to himself. If she wouldn't answer him, then maybe all the rumors were wrong.

"People sometimes talk, don't they...sorry about that..."

Kyra looked at him. "What have you heard? I know you've heard plenty. People around here don't just sometimes talk." She knew that there had to be a reason for him asking her.

"Alright, I hope you don't mind but all your stuff's still packed up. Oh, and you'll probably want this." he said as he gave Braxa the second key he got earlier.

"Oh, no I don't mind," Braxa said. She then saw the key. "Oh, thank you." She tried to find a pocket to put it in so she wouldn't lose it. "You sure you don't want anything?"

Gandalf nodded, "Yeah I'm sure. Like I said, I had a big breakfast." he said as he put his own key back into his pocket.

Waleffijegrutadekuj answered Kyra, "Some people were saying that you were dating the Hunter, some people were saying that you were engaged to him, and some people were saying you were....married......"

[Scarlett De Fontaine]

Braxa nodded as she went to put her plate in the sink. "Well, I'm about ready if you want to head back so I can get things settled."

Kyra looked down and blushed a little. "They said all that?" She couldn't help noticing how he singled out the married part.

Gandalf nodded, "Sure, let's go." Gandalf said as he walked to the door, still a little surprised by how things had worked out.

Waleffijegrutadekuj nodded. "So it's not true? You're not married to him?" He looked at her with hope, assuming that she was disgusted by the idea. "Yeah...don't know why they thought you'd be with the Hunter. I knew you guys were close....I thought you'd end up with one of the twins, but it doesn't look like you did." He let out a sigh of relief, smiling at her.

Kyra looked down, not knowing what to say to him. "I..." she started, then gulped. She couldn't look at him now.

Braxa followed him out. She had left a note saying that she had moved out, just in case.

Waleffijegrutadekuj, thinking that she was still disgusted by the thought, replied, "I don't know why people think the two of you would be good together when you are so turned off by him. He really isn't your type."

He looked at her at let out a sigh of relief. "Kyra, would you go out with me?"

Gandalf smiled as they walked back to his...their house. After arriving there he opened the door, "Apres vous." he chuckled.

Kyra looked up at him. "What gave you that idea?" she asked, a little upset at what he said. "You didn't even wait for my answer before jumping to conclusions, like everyone else." She had to stand up.

She was about to answer his question when she processed what that meant. She softened a bit. "Waleff..." She had a sad look to her. "I can't... I'm married..."
