"Alright, see you later I guess." Gandalf said as he glanced at Braxa for a moment.

"I guess so..." Braxa said, hoping that he might come with her to the library, where her mom worked, but figured he had reasons for not doing so. "See ya," she said to Gandalf and her aunt before heading back toward the Citadel.

Gandalf turned around for a moment, initially deciding to leave and lower the awkwardness but, now that he thought about it, maybe her leaving had an implied invitation to him. Hoping that was the case, he ran to catch up with her.

The Librarian smiled when she watched him leave. He was learning feminine wiles quickly.
Braxa heard the soft footsteps approaching and smiled as she looked around to find Gandalf catching up to her.

(People...try to keep your posts around 5 sentences. I know that it's hard sometimes with certain replies...but the majority of them should be about a paragraph. I don't want the majority of them to be 1 sentence and sometimes 5 sentences. This isn't fanfiction, where you can get banned for writing a lot, on some forums..of course not mine...but I was in danger of being banned on one board because I wrote a lot.)
One of the Council members finally spoke to Jed, giving a dismissal. "You are dismissed, Jed."
Jed nodded.
He knew he had a serious mission, but he decided to say hello to some very old friends first. He walked towards the Librarian's garden, hoping that she would be there. He knew of the Librarian's speech condition, but had never quite learned what had caused it. He did, however, have a sneaking suspicion that Emmehujiat and some others had something to do with it.

(Sorry, forgot)
The Librarian continued to tend her garden. She liked to see how Braxa and Gandalf were growing closer. It made her glad. Maybe some day she could have Clara help her tell him about his parents. Emmehujidat didn't predict that, did he?

Jed looked around at the garden. "Anyone here?" he asked.
He looked around, always finding the Librarian's garden to be lovely -- but he never knew what to expect. Would there be flowers blooming? Or new plants germinating? Or veggies to eat? He didn't know, but he liked looking at it often. If war came, would this beautiful place be damaged? He hoped not, but he knew that he couldn't guarantee it's safety. Nothing would be safe now.

The Librarian looked up and smiled when she saw Jed. "Heyo!" she called, waving so that he could see her amongst the fruit trees, flowering bushes, vegetable patches, and various herbs. It had been too long since she saw him. Last time he came, she thought she remembered seeing his daughter. Or maybe that was a few decades back. She couldn't remember, but she enjoyed seeing her old friends.

Jed smiled, "Hello to you. I have a mission.....just wanted to say hi before leaving."
He smiled at her, "I know you can't say anything in response, but I wish that we could talk like we did while we were on the trip together. It's really nice seeing you again. Could you show me your favorite plants at this time?"
He wanted to remember anything pleasant that he could before any sort of war would start...if there even would be a war. For all he knew, it might just be a few rumors or something. He really had no way of knowing until he actually investigated it himself.

The Librarian nodded, her smile having a sad twinge to it. She started pointing out her favorite flowers in the garden, not daring to try to speak a work without Braxa to translate. There were a few exotic flowers that she especially liked. If you knew what to look for, most of the plants looked like those from Earth. She remembered that trip, cursing and blessing that trip that changed her life.

Jed looked at the flowers and smiled. "Those are lovely....do you have some of their seeds that you could put in your own TARDIS? Or do you have some already growing in it?"
He noticed the sad expression on his friend's face and frowned. "I never did find out what happened to your speaking ability, but I'd bet that Emmehujiat had something to do with it," he said angrily.

The Librarian nodded to his second question and his comment about Emmehujidat. She wished she could tell the whole story, but the only one who could understand it, it seemed, was her niece. She wished a lot of things that she knew wouldn't come true.
Then she started to wonder why he was asking these questions. Why was he asking about having these plants in her TARDIS, or if she had seeds to plant?

Jed saw the look on the Librarian's face and sighed. He wanted to tell her, and he saw no harm in doing so. After all, she couldn't tell anyone what he told her. "There's something coming....and it doesn't look good for us....have you heard of Daleks before?"
He looked at her, hoping that she would understand that he would explain everything shortly.

The Librarian listened to him. She nodded, remembering the little side-trip she made with the Bringer. That and the test-fire of the TAQDIS that accidentally took the Bringer to Skaro. She hoped that this wasn't what she thought this was about. Maybe this was what was bugging the Briger so much.

"Seems we had a bit of a misunderstanding." Gandalf said as he made his way to Braxa's right, returning to a walking pace as he did so. He smiled when he saw her expression, good, she did want him to come along after all. He still wondered what was bugging her earlier but no matter. It didn't seem like a huge issue.
