Kyra didn't ask twice as she grabbed Tyler's hand and ran after her brother-in-law. She had been contemplating it herself, but she wasn't about to leave them behind. Not now, not ever. She honestly didn't remembering asking Eight, but she wasn't going to question it. But that wasn't important right now, now they were running.

Tyler received Kyra's message and sent back, "I don't know....we don't know....they just came up to us and said we were arrested."
Tyler was a bit in shock as his brother just disrespected the guard like that, throwing the pot of tea in the guard's face and then throwing a chair into him. However, his wife's arm on his brought him back to reality. They needed to run. There would be witnesses to the incident, as there were certainly other people at the cafe.
Tyler didn't need to be told twice, though. He took off running after his brother. "Great...now we know that we are in trouble with the High Council or at least with someone on the High Council...."
_____________ Jed, a member of Gallifreyan intelligence knocked on the door the main door of the High Council Chamber. He'd been invited to one of their meetings, which was only slightly unusual. Normally, he was just told by one of the members what they wanted him to do.

Kyra didn't like this at all. What were they wanted for? Why were they being arrested? Was the Doctor right? Was all this the fault of someone on the High Council?

As they were running, Tyler could tell that his wife was in distress. Well, to be honest, so was he. However, he knew with her sense of burden that she carried with her already, this would make it worse. He needed to comfort her somehow.
He sent a telepathic message to her, "I don't know why we are wanted, but we've got to find out...now more than ever....."
_______________ (we need someone to play a Lord President -- and we need to decide whether or not Rassilion is the Lord President already, or if someone else was before him)

It's always been my experience that one finds out more about situations by not being incarcerated, The Doctor said to both Kyra and Tyler. So we do need to get back to the citadel, I'd just prefer it not being escorted by an armed guard. That makes for such a limited tour! Plus the nasty little items they use when questioning aren't much fun either.
He gave a grimace as he recalled the various probes used to try to get a confession from him when he had been accused of murdering the president all those lifetimes ago. (The Deadly Assassin with Tom Baker) He had no wish to repeat such an experience himself nor would he want his brother and his wife to fall under them.
He slipped into an empty alleyway to catch his breath. "Let's just pause here a moment and assess our situation." he panted. Then he added "And I know, it's not good!"

(I've seen that episode That's one of the ones that my roommate's friend had on DVD and let her borrow so we could watch it) Tyler received his brother's message. He sent back, " All right...but we will probably be caught, especially if they are looking for us." He wouldn't let that stop him, though. Something major was going on, and whatever it was meant that the Doctor, himself, and Kyra, had to be detained. Tyler nodded. "Yeah....so they are looking for us.....or at least one of us.....but whatever it is.....can't be good. So....let me see here....something is going on with Kyra's mind, we know there has been spying or something.....and people are all up tight......and somehow we're all connected to it.....do you think they might know about Kyra's mind?"

Kyra just stays quiet, catching her breath as they stopped for a moment. She didn't want to think about what could happen if they got caught. Right now all she wanted was to escape. Something felt like this chase wasn't important, just getting away. She lets herself slip down the wall, her mind elsewhere, anywhere was better than here.

Meanwhile...
The Meddler stalked through the streets, trying not to look furtive, knowing he looked out of place. Pea-coats and longshoreman's boots were simply not standard wear in the Citadel.
"Hell," he swore without realizing it - this regeneration's personality was somewhat uncultured - "Oi wouldn't even have come here, except for..."
What? A reading of probability lines along the Prime Anchor Threads? A suspicion that something was going to go wrong, badly wrong, and soon.
From behind, he heard the shouting of the Guard. "Rod and Eye," he swore, "they've found me already."
Balling up a fist and looking for exit lines, he prepared to run for his life.

If they did, I would imagine they'd be trying to contact it, seeing if they could get a fix on where we are. Kyra, do you feel anything? Besides tired, I mean! Is it drawing you to anyplace, any particular direction? The Doctor listened, tring to catch any sound that would mean the guards had doubled back and were searching for them in all alleys. We need a nearby safe place but it could be tricky finding one. The people here are too scared to help, it seems. Then another thought hit him. I'd love to go back and talk to that waiter.

Tyler looked at his wife with expectation.
In response to the Doctor, Tyler sent, "Sure...provided there aren't guards posted there......but it is worth a try at least.....
He glanced around. How had he missed it? Missed the fact that things were hectic on Gallifrey -- that something was seriously wrong? His brother had an excuse -- he wasn't on Gallifrey much. But Tyler was. He had a job in the Citadel even, and still, he had been completely clueless about anything different going on. He had to admit that that day he had had his suspicions, but not yesterday, not a week ago, not a month ago....
How had he missed the fact that people were not talking? That they were living with a sense of fear?

The Meddler dove into an alley, just as the Citadel Guard rounded the corner, and retreated further back into the shadows. The Guard raced past, giving his hiding place the barest of glances.
Should've landed closer to the library, he berated himself. Should've...
Behind him were three others, two men and a woman, breathing hard and trying to keep out of sight.
"Ah," he said. "Uhm. Dreadful sorry, didn't see the lot of yeh there." He paused, feeling their eyes on him. "So. Am Oi nicked? Or are yeh dodgin' the peelers too?"

Kyra blinked and looked up at Tyler and the Doctor. She gulped when she saw expectation in their eyes. Had they been talking to her. "I'm sorry, I..." She zoned out again...

Tyler sent back to Kyra, "The Doctor asked you if you felt anything.....anything at all....and then he suggested going back to where we just were and talking to the waiter.....what do you think about that?"
Tyler looked worriedly at his wife. She kept zoning out and missing important conversation, whether it was aloud or telepathic.
His attention was then drawn to another Time Lord. One that he couldn't quite place. Tyler noted that this man seemed to be "wanted" as well, judging from his words and the way that he carried himself. It appeared to him as if this other man had been running as well.
Seizing the opportunity, Tyler asked this male Time Lord, "Hello there. Do you happen to know what's going on? Why some of us are wanted? Why we would be arrested and escorted to the Citadel? And have you noticed the way people are living in fear.....what has happened to Gallifrey?"
He looked over at this man, not really expecting an actual answer to the problems. Tyler was more curious to see whether or not this guy had noticed, and what his theories or thoughts were regarding the circumstance.

There was something familiar about the two men. Something he couldn't put his finger on...
"Hello there. Do you happen to know what's going on? Why some of us are wanted? Why we would be arrested and escorted to the Citadel? And have you noticed the way people are living in fear.....what has happened to Gallifrey?"
The Meddler considered this. "Well, personally, Oi just tend to assume that if Oi'm anywhere on Gallifrey, and the ceegees are around, that they're probably looking fer me. Maybe Oi'm getting solipsistic..."
He chuckled. "The rest of yehs? No clue. Yeh ain't dressed up in yer oh-so-formal High Church getup anymore'n Oi am, but Oi ken tell yeh all ain't Outsiders or shobogans..."
He paused, mulling it over. "Got any political enemies? Pissed off one o' the Great Houses, mebbe, or gotten up the nose of the Council? Wouldn't be the first time one of our high-n-mighty's gone an abused his power."
