Canon/Original:Original
Name: Onrifallayraio, also known as Onri, more commonly known and called as The One
Age: 954. When he was a boy, he knew, and was friends, (and sometimes enemies) with the one the called Thete, or The Doctor.
Species: Time Lord
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey, in the system of Kasterborous
Occupation: All-around Madman, villain, and foe of The Doctor
Physical Description: The One's 10th incarnation is a tall, seedy-looking man with blonde hair. He usually wears a torn, stolen black Armani suit from sometime in the 21st century. The suit is covered by a long black longcoat. His eyes are a pale gold, and he wears his hair in a comb-over. The One is rather thin, and what he lacks physically, he makes up for in brains. He wars a pair of black shades, as his eyes are extremely sensitive to the light.
Personality: The One is a narcissistic, greedy, and altogether pompous excuse for a Time Lord. After staring into the untempered Schism, he saw the death of Gallifrey, and it drove him mad. He became convinced that the only way to save Gallifrey was to end it. But his mind rejected the memories, and locked it away till his Second incarnation. He is even more crazy for this, because most of his younger life is missing.
He is quite insane, and after a time, became convinced that Gallifrey would be the death of itself. This belief caused his 2-6th incarnations to attempt to 'cleanse' his precious Gallifrey of the 'parasites' that infected it, namely, the Time Lords. He is a jerk, and will push around those lower than him for fun.
As a child in the Academy, before the time War, he was already starting to become mad. He was one of the most popular students in the academy, and he was well-known.
He was also very ambiguous, and this led him to become lord President of Gallifrey...for a time.
The One has been psychologically reviewed by some of the most popular psychotherapists this side of Sol 3. The all have on diagnosis.
Mad. Completely, utterly, mad.
History:
The One was born on Gallifrey some 3 years before the Time Lord known as The Doctor, or Thete. He grew up alongside The doctor and their childhood friend, Koschei, or The Master as he would come to be called. After staring into the Untempered Schism at the age of 8, he learned of the death of Gallifrey during the Time War, and became determined to prevent it from happening. But the memories proved to traumatic for him, and he locked them away in his mind till his Second incarnation. He continued on, not knowing the dark secret locked inside his mind...the secret of the Time War.
He entered the Academy, acclaimed as a genius, known for his brilliance. It was then his rivalry with The Doctor began. He still maintained a friendship with Koschei, and a faint semblance of friendship with the Doctor. During this time, he became one of a group known as the Deca, which included The Master and The Rani. During this time, he was given the name The One.
A few years later, The One exited the Academy with Exemplary scores. He left for the stars, and wandered the universe, watching and observing, as is law of Gallifrey. He did, however interact once or twice, as he stopped the destruction of the Ya'krail warrior race by the Sontarans. Some 67 years later, The One returned to Gallifrey on the eve of war. The Time War.
For a brief period, he assumed the office of Lord President of Gallifrey. He was then assassinated by an unknown killer.
In his second incarnation, he regained his memories from his childhood, and in a fit of madness, tried to destroy Gallifrey. He was defeated by the Doctor, and locked away for three years. During the Time War he was released to help defend Gallifrey alongside the Time Lords. He regenerated twice during that dark, dark war, killed twice by Daleks. His fifth incarnation stood to stand against the Could've-Been-King and his army of Meanwhiles and Neverweres. After being overwhelmed by the Meanwhiles and Neverweres, he regenerated a fifth time, and his Sixth incarnation, being even more narcissistic than the others, saw the end of his life waiting for him in the Time War.
His Sixth incarnation fled Gallifrey, after attempting to burn the Citadel to the ground, still convinced that for Gallifrey to live, Gallifrey must die. His Sixth incarnation died after his TARDIS was hit with a blast from a Dalek ship. He spent his Seventh and Eighth incarnations on the planet called Earth, hiding from the Time Lords. Both died of old age In his Ninth incarnation, he learned of the fate of Gallifrey. Vowing to hunt down the last of the time lords, he embarked on a quest in his TARDIS, which he disguised like a circular gold orb.
After a particularly nasty skirmish with the last of the Daleks, he hooked himself up to his TARDIS, and refused to die and let another take his place. For 5 long years, he floated through space. Then he TARDIS malfunctioned, and the energy tubes keeping him from regenerating failed. His Tenth incarnation was born, and steered the failing TARDIS towards Cardiff, Wales.
