"It's perfect!" She responded as she stepped away from him. "I'm gonna go around the corner, you behave yourself." She said as she playfully tapped him on the nose.
He watched her duck around the corner, then spent an awkward few minutes trying to figure out if he should be imagining her changing clothes, or if he should be studiously concentrating on anything but.
Of course, he was 17. Anything but was a fighting a losing battle...
Then she stepped back around the corner, carrying her folded dress, and whatever it had been that he had been thinking quickly slipped his mind.
She smiled at him brightly. "I'll leave this here for now."
"Uhm, yeah," he managed.
He was sure the House hadn't done it on purpose. His instructions had been to make a version of his outfit that would fit her. And the House had followed his instructions. It fit quite well, the denim breeches following the curve of her waist and hip, the cotton shirt clinging to the swell of her breasts...
She was as well covered as if she'd been in a school robe, and yet the sight of her like this went straight through him like live current.
"Uhm, yeah," he managed again, trying (and failing) not to stare too obviously. "Yeah, uhm, just leave it in the closet. And, uhm..." he bit his lip, and shook his head. "Our... our vehicle is outside."
He took her hand. "C'mon," he said with a smile.

Oh, Libby knew exactly how well this was fitting. Nothing like having to wiggle her hips just to pull up the pants. To feel a little nervous about the way her bother looked, when she buttoned up the pants. A shiver raced through her as she calmly tugged the edge of the shirt down, resisting the urge to close the jacket, so he didn't have a reason to stare at her. But some small part of her, liked how he was staring at her. She blushed darkly at that thought and did as he mentioned.
She took her dress to his hallways closet, hanging it up, and gently sliding it into place. She would leave it here, while they went on their hike. By the time she turned around, Thete was blathering. She frowned softly at him, and then giggled as she stepped over towards him. "Thete, I have no idea how I got so lucky, to have someone like you." She whispered as she pecked him on the lips gently.
She had no idea that they would only have a limited future together. Then a lifetime of pining. All because of that Rassilon council. They were going to take her Thete from her. But she didn't know that right now. A soft smile left her as her head tilted to the side. She laughed softly and wrapped her fingers around his again. Then slowly and softly she leaned in to wrap her arm around his neck and kiss him again. "We got interrupted, just wanted to give you another kiss."

"Thete, I have no idea how I got so lucky, to have someone like you." She whispered as she pecked him on the lips gently.
"I'm pretty sure that's my line," he said, smiling.
A soft smile left her as her head tilted to the side. She laughed softly and wrapped her fingers around his again. Then slowly and softly she leaned in to wrap her arm around his neck and kiss him again.
He leaned into the kiss, lost in the way she felt, the way she made him feel, and made a small noise of disappointment as she pulled her head back.
"We got interrupted, just wanted to give you another kiss."
Standing there, his arms around her, Thete was at a loss for words. All he could do was look at her in wonder. Then he darted in quickly, smiling, and kissed the tip of her nose. "I love you," he said.
"C'mon," he said, reluctantly leaving her embrace, "I can't wait to show you this."
"Voila!" he said, whipping the canvas cover away with a flourish.
They were outside, standing on the eastern face of the House, looking at a... well, at a motorcycle.
A motorcycle designed and built by someone who had read about them and liked the idea, but by someone that had never seen one. The tires were about a foot and a half wide. The body was segmented and variform, and the handlebars looked designed to alter angle and width. Saddlebags hung from the back, with the rear wheel between them.
"This," he said with pride, patting the angled windscreen, "is Bessie. Built her myself. And she's how we'll be getting up into the foothills."
He leaned against the forward seat and spread his arms. "What do you think?"

Libby smiled at him brightly as she kissed him and pulled back. Shortly after that a giggle left her as she got kissed on the tip of her nose. She was so happy to be here with him, here in his arms. "I love you too, Thete." She said softly as she released a long sigh. She was intrigued to see what he had to show her, or where they were going. She followed after him, and then realized they were outside of the face. A giggle left her again, as she stared at the motorcycle.
She was trying so very very hard not to laugh, and laugh hard at that. She couldn't hold it back, as she started to laugh at the bike. Not at what Thete was trying to do, but at what the bike looked like. "Sweetheart, have you ever seen a picture of a motobike?" She asked soflty as she squeezed his hand with a playful smile. "I'm trying not to down this moment, but I'm letting you know that it's not exactly supposed to look like that." She said and then blushed.
Oh she probably hurt his feelings, she winced softly and looked to the side. "Sorry, forget I said anything." She said nervously, she was so scared about fucking up this date. "Please forgive me for laughing?"

Libby giggled. Then she snorted. Then she burst out laughing. "Sweetheart, have you ever seen a picture of a motobike?" She asked soflty as she squeezed his hand with a playful smile. "I'm trying not to down this moment, but I'm letting you know that it's not exactly supposed to look like that." She said and then blushed.
He started to speak, but she cut him off.
She winced softly and looked to the side. "Sorry, forget I said anything." She said nervously. "Please forgive me for laughing?"
"Aw," he said with with a dismissive wave of the hand, "Don't worry about it." She still looked nervous, so he pulled her close and hugged her. "Really, don't. My dad laughed so hard he fell over."
He ran one hand lovingly along the frame of the bike. "I built it after weeks of research on different types of motorcycles. The general frame is patterned after one of the Uruk choppaz from Gorkamorka. The frame's variform because I couldn't decide if I wanted a racing bike or a touring cycle, so I decided to make it able to do both." He patted the fairing. "She's a little ungainly looking, but she handles like a dream."
He kissed her, then. Leaning his forehead against hers, he looked her in the eyes. "So, feeling daring enough to take a ride?" he said with a grin.

She released the breath she had been unaware she was holding. She was relieved when he told her it was ok. Her eyes lit up now, as she leaned in towards him. Libby was happy that Thete had forgiven her. She nuzzled against his cheek, wrapping her arms around him. She was trying to stay as close to him as possible. She was afraid of losing him, afraid of the darkness within her own soul.
"Well, I think I would indeed love a ride. I'd go anywhere with you, Thete." She said as she kissed him on the cheek. She shuddered, a groan left her. She wrapped her fingers in his hair, and then kissed him again, this time on the lips. A moan leaving her as she kissed him, nuzzling against his lips.

She wrapped her fingers in his hair, and then kissed him again, this time on the lips. A moan leaving her as she kissed him, nuzzling against his lips.
For a good minute, Thete found he was no longer all that concerned about the bike. There were more interesting things to think about - the taste of her lips and tongue, the feel of her fingers in his hair, the spine-tingling sounds of approval she was making as one of his hands clutched at her shoulder and the other traced the curve of her spine.
He found that he was half sitting, half leaning against the bike, Libby pressing against him. The kiss became hungrier as her fingers tightened in his hair, and he pulled her closer. Time stood still. All that was real was the woman in his arms, the longing and the need washing through him.
After an eternity (47 seconds, the irritating time sense hard-wired into his brain told him), the kiss ended. His breath came in ragged gasps. "Ah," he managed, more a gasp than a word, "You're amazing. Have I told you that enough?"
Reluctantly, he looked around. "The way this day's been going, though, I expect my brother to show up at any moment and interrupt us. Or my father. Or... hells, I don't know. Maybe the Lord President himself."
He held Libby close, unwilling to let her go. "Let's get out of here," he said.

Her hearts pounding in her chest, her body reaching a new height in temperature, she felt like she was on fire. Leaning against him, pressed against him. Her body crying for something, that she didn't understand. She took a gasping breath when he finally pulled back. Her eyes almost seemed to be glowing, with the energy that was pulsing through her, the energy she had exchanged with him. She groaned softly and nodded at him.
"Alright, alright. Lets get going." She said as she regained her breath, and groans softly as she rubbed her temples softly. She was trying to calm herself down, and it started to work. Perfect, absolutely perfect. She took in another calming breath and smiled at him. "This is a little more then I expected." She admitted as she giggles softly. A shiver passing over her as she rubbed her hands together, and then zipped up the jacket.

He straddled the bike and grinned. "Oddly enough," he said, "I try not to expect things. I find that what actually happens is usually a lot more interesting than what I expect." He leaned back against her as she climbed on to the bike, a content little smile on his mouth. "You, for instance," he said softly. "I would never have expected you."
With those words he kicked the starter. The bike rumbled and purred, and squealed into motion. He leaned forward, gripping the handlebars. "And if I had, somehow, I never would have believed it."
They rode through the back streets, down into a maintenance tunnel, and through a maze-like network of access passages. Once, Thete had to stop and dismount, using a sonic screwdriver to jimmy the lock of a set of massive double doors.
"A little bit of a trick to this," he said, half proud and half embarrassed, "but it comes in handy at times."
The doors rumbled open to reveal a long, level plain of dry dead earth. Far away, the ground turned to crimson grasses and gently began to slope upwards to the million-silvered hues of the Mountain of Solitude. Overhead the sky was a clear amber, streaked with wisps of cotton.
"Over there," Thete said, pointing towards the mountain as he climbed back onto the bike. "That's where we're going."
The bike launched from the doorway and across the dead earth, a contrail of dust rising behind it as the doors slowly ratcheted shut behind them.

Libby kept her arms wrapped around him, a smile on her face as she leaned into him. The trajectory they took, caused wind to whip around her. Making her eyes close as she listened to the dual heartbeats near her ear. Her arms wrapped firmly around his waist, as she allowed herself to relax. It was so calming, almost made her fall asleep. She was jolted away when he got off the bike, a small giggle left her as she arched a brow.
A grin passed over her lips as she nodded, and looked ahead of them in awe. This was amazing, simply magical. If one believed in something like magic. A soft sigh left her as she rewrapped her arms around his waist, and rested against him as they took off. I'm excited, Thete, I can't wait to get there. She admitted. A bright smile on her face now as they zoomed on ahead.

Apparently, one of the things that Thete had not known about motorcycles was internal combustion engines. As a result, it did not make the loud roaring sound that so many of the vehicles made throughout the Spiral Politic. Instead, drawing its power from the Eye of Harmony like every other machine on Gallifrey, it hummed and vibrated and purred.
It still wasn't a quiet ride, though. The wind roaring past at nearly 200 kph saw to that.
And so the bike hummed as it left the dead earth around the Citadel behind and streaked across the savannah with its waist-high crimson grass. The humming became a throaty purr as it reached the foothills and was forced to work harder to climb the ever-steepening grade. By that point, Thete had altered the bike's configuration, allowing him to lean back (rather than forward) and keep an eye out on the terrain. They swerved and angled, avoiding outcroppings of flint and the occasional white-barked silver-leaved maalomourn tree.
He hadn't said much, but joy and contentment radiated off of him in the telepathic bands. Joy, and contentment, and an excitement that he could share this with someone (with Libby, said a side-band, with Libby). And through it all, the sheer thrill of travel and of seeing new things (with Libby, echoed the side band, with Libby).
I love it out here, he said telepathically (I love you, said a side-band) (I need you, said a second side-band), not attempting to fight the roar of the wind with speech. There are so few of us that ever bother to even look outside, let alone leave the Citadel. And look! Just look!
The sun, just beginning to slide downwards in the south, had transformed the Mountains of Solace and Solitude into an inferno of copper and gold, hints of silver peeking through where the maalomourn leaves didn't catch the light.
He let the bike roll to a halt near a massive outcropping of rock. "And down there," he said, pointing the way they had traveled.
Behind them, the vast crimson expanse of the plains stretched out like a blanket. Lone trees glittered here and there like diamond dust, and the river that flowed between the mountains was a wine-dark river. And in the midst of it all the Citadel glowed like a burning opal.
"This is what I wanted to show you, Libby," Thete said, dismounting the bike. He threw his hands wide and turned slowly, as if he intended to capture the whole world in his arms. "All of this."
(OOC: Mild point - Thete's only got one heart at this age. One of those interesting side-effects of being half-Terran.)

Libby was distracted in her own mind, she was actually almost falling asleep as she held on to him. The ride wasn't long, but it was long enough for her. She kept her arms wrapped around him, focusing on the sound of his heart. Focusing on the feelings within her own hearts. She was calm, calmer then she had been for a long time. She wanted to talk to Thete about something important, something utterly special to her. She wanted so desperately, for him to remain with her.
She was scared of the future, something was being hidden from him and her. From everyone, and she didn't like those kinds of secrets. Her eyes remained closed, red hair whipping in the wind as they moved across the plains. She found her hands had a mind of their own, resting gently on his stomach, fingertips running circles on his skin. She was quieter then she ever had been, her mind emptied of everything as she calmly allowed the ride to lull her.
Finally they came to a stop, and she slowly slipped from the bike. She wasn't going to let him go, not in any way. She was swearing that to herself right now. She would love him, she would cherish him. As she looked around at the scene he was showing her, the beauty of the setting sun. The beauty of the mountain they were residing on. "It's beautiful." She whispered as she let her fingertips rest gently on his arm.
Her eyes were alight at the scene before her, she loved the beauty of it. Her fingers wrapped around his own, as she let her head rest on his shoulder. "It's lovely, and I am so happy you brought me here." She whispered as she closed her eyes for a moment and just let herself absorb this moment. Let it rest within her soul, for as long as it would last.

No words were needed, Thete decided. He was content. Content to stand, his arms wrapped around the woman he loved, sharing this single, perfect moment.
He drank it all in. The distant motion of the grass, the gentle breeze, the gentle movements of the girl in his arms as she breathed, the faint perfume of her hair. The feeling of peace. No need to prove himself, to defend himself. No thoughts of escape, of running. No burning need to be anywhere.
Anywhere be here, with Libby. Anywhere but here, in the moment.
I wish we could stay right here, he said, telepathically, Forever.

Libby had been running, in her own way. She had been running from the people in her life, from the knowledge that her mind absorbed like a sponge. Sometimes she wished she could be normal, a normal girl with a normal life. But now, here, this moment, she had that. She had her hand in Thete's her head on his shoulder. The breeze sweeping past them, and the feeling of peace and solitude. Thete was her love, and she was happy to just rest here with him.
A shudder passed through her as she heard his message. She squeezed his hand and giggled softly as she rested against him. I never want this to end either. Ever. I want this to last forever. She whispered to him as she rubbed her cheek on his shoulder. A small shiver of pain raced through her, she never wanted to let him go. She wanted to be with him forever.
I love you Thete, I never want to let you go. Ever, I just can't. Even if something parts us, I know I'll always look for you. She whispered as she snuggled against him. Her arms wrapped around him as she watched the grass. "So, do you have food, for us to have that Picnic..." She teased, with a soft smile and a laugh.

"It would be a fairly miserable picnic, if I didn't," he laughed back.
Reluctantly, he disengaged from Libby and began rummaging around in the saddlebags. First out was a large red and white checked cloth, which he attempted to unfurl and lay out with a flourish. The wind caught it as he did, whipping it around like a flag and transforming the flourish into a comedy sketch. Finally, resorting to the rather undignified method of throwing it on the ground and anchoring each corner with rocks, he got it spread out. Then he lept to his feet and bowed low.
"Ta-daah!" he announced.
Then, he produced what appeared to be a genuine wicker basket from the saddlebag. Seating himself on the cloth, he threw it open. "Let's see..." he said, peering into the basket. "Ah, yes."
Two smallish plates came out. "Fresh bread, with three cheeses and fruit. Why don't we start there?" He selected a heart-shaped quorlberry and, holding it with two fingers, brushed it against her lips.
