It was cool. I loved how Gwen was shooting with the baby in her arms.
She should get the mother of the year award.

The Professor -- Those are basically the two biggest plot points so far, yes. It looks like it's going to get better, though besides finding out who is stopping the deaths, it just doesn't seem like it can go further to me.
Jenny -- Thank you for the link! Much appreciated.
Owen Harper -- Yes! Everything's still happening as normal around the world, babies are being born, but humans aren't dying. Animals are still dying, but not humans.
Ellie Barnes -- Personally, I don't like Gwen, but I can admit that that was quite cool, yes. Not to mention the fact that their baby is utterly adorable. I was focusing on Gwen shooting and my Mum was just squeeing, saying "oh my God! Look at the cute baby! It has little ear muffs!" and then I couldn't focus on the show properly because I was giggling at the baby.

I got the impression that Jack wasn't mortal, just that whatever made everyone else fail to die evened the playing field by taking away his super-healing. I mean, the teaser for episode 2 showed him dying from something, and Jack IS Torchwood, so... yeah, that's my theory, anyway.

I had this in thought.
What if Death is actually beaten? What if people really can't die because Death is gone? I know its a long shot.
And for Jack we are not sure he is mortal.
And here is another thing. Owen was a walking dead. The girl Fate is too. (And still around) And Susan lived taking damage.
So Jack could be effected some how because of Death?
I don't know. Just a silly conculsion of mine.

Well, Jack seems to only have lost a portion of his immortality. Namely, his wounds do not heal at his usual superhuman pace.

Yesterdays episode was very interesting. John Barrowman also makes up for a good lot. I wish he had given the woman a bit of a chase though in the archives when she ran off. Would have been a good laugh.
Though the burned man on the table gave me the behhebigeebies e_e
Am I the only one who thinks some person/alien/whatever used a reverse trick on mortality on the whole human race. Jack was the only immortal, so we reverse everything so he's the only mortal just so he can be killed. I think something is going to go after Jack pretty soon D: I wonder as well if the doctor would be effected if it wasn't just the human race..

Only Humans were affected. Animals weren't. so maybe something wants the human race to overwhelm itself so it can take earth.

My theory is that somehow, something has caused a morphic field to change the DNA of every human to make them immortal. For jack, however, this had the very opposite effect. it made his immortal DNA into mortal DNA, somehow making him mortal. It was also stated this immortal meant Invulnerability, as humans were still ageing, meaning they might not even die of old age.
