Physical Description: Q has never regenerated, by the way the whole idea scares the crap out of him, so the face you see is his first face. A Human would assume he was a teenager, around 16. He has very pale skin and dirty blonde hair, that he usually lets do what ever it wants. His eyes are a brown colour, his eyes themselves are slightly oval shaped. Above his eyes are two thin eye brows. His right eye brow has a small gap in the middle of it. His nose is slightly larger than average, and is his least favourite feature. He stands at 5'11'' and has broad shoulders. He is by no means muscular but has an athletic, imagine marathon runners, build. He usually holds himself high and he seems to have an aura of command around him. His face is, usually, clean shaven. Shaving every day helps him calm down. His dress sense is not the best, he will usually wear what ever he can find in his TARDIS.
He often looks like he is frowning for no apparent reason
Personality: Even among the Time Lords Q is considered a prodigy. His knowledge extends only to space faring species however; for example he has total understanding of Transdimensional Engineering but he would have no idea how something as primative as a torch works. This is because he has never been interested in primitive technology, but if he took a few seconds to examine something he can usually get the jist of it. If you were to compare him to a human he would be around 16, both physically and personality wise. He is incredibly inquisitive. hence leaving Gallifrey to explore Space and Time, and finding out new things is something that fascinates him. However he is not the most socially adept person. He mixes better with people older than he is, politicians and intellectuals mostly, and when he meets Time Lords his age, or members of other species around his personality age, he kind of clamps up. A strange thing but true none the less.
He finds making friends hard, probably because he alienates people when he talks down to them. Yea he does that allot. Being so intelligent he seems to take pleasure in correcting people and lecturing them. The truth is he suffers from a need to do this when he sees he hears a mistake. There is allot about himself he does not know. For example how would he react in a life threatening situation? What would he do if he had to choose between his own life and another's? These situations and more are something he has to find out. However he is a good person deep down and he has already placed the needs of others before his own. Being a Time Lord, part of such an ancient and noble people, means allot to him. The Doctor has become a sort of idol to the young Time Lord. He secretly hopes to meet him one day and he hopes to have some adventures like the Doctor; and maybe save a few people at the same time.
Emulating his idol he carries a sonic device much like the Doctors screwdriver, though his takes the form of a large emerald ring that he wears on his left finger.Q is usually very calm and non-chalant. It can be hard sometimes to figure out if he is angry or happy. The thing he fears the most is regeneration. He knows that it is like a death and he will become someone else; another Q if you will. Infact he would rather die that go through it. He has a great urge to prove himself worthy of the title Time Lord.
History:
Time. Well time is subjective really. 108 years is a lifetime for a Human, if they are exceedingly lucky; or unfortunate depending on how you look at it, but a 108 year old Time Lord is still a child. 108 years is like a blink of an eye and to many of his elders that is the amount of time Q has been alive. He was loomed into a little known house that had little influence on the planet of Gallifrey. His family meant everything to him and from a young age he grew up in a loving and supportive home. One of his cousins was called Lututolromanivic. One day they were playing and they decided to call each other by shorter names. That is how Q became Q and Lutu became Lutu. Lutu, a girl if you were wondering, and Q were inseparable from a young age and played on the red grass for hours each day. They dreamt of traveling the stars as Time Lords and exploring everything that ever was. They often talked about regeneration- while Q was scared of it (something not usual in his inquisitive nature) Lutu was eager to go through it.
There care free life ended when they turned 8. At 8 they were taken to the academy to begin their training as Time Lord/Lady. During their initiation they were taken to the time vortex. At 8 Q was made to stand in front of a rift in the fabric of the universe. He stared at Time itself and he felt changed. No longer did he want to play childish games with his cousin. He wanted to learn, add to Time Lord history and protect the balance in the universe. So it was he began his learning. He loved his time at the academy. It was there that he was acknowledged as a genius and he was years above his cousin. Science and Politics were his best subjects. He marveled at the power of Time Lord technology and he needed to know everything he could about it; nothing else matterd. He became one minded. The sole meaning of his life to gain more knowledge. He took subjects in every possible subject. From Butterwings to Volcanic Eruptions. The only thing he did not find interesting was the affairs of the lower species.
When he was around 50 he changed again. He had not seen his cousin in 4 decades and when they were reunited it was like the old Q woke up. He began to have fun again and they were once more the closest of friends. Q graduated from the academy aged 102. He took up a job studying the affects of Wormholes on the development of stars in four dimensional space. He had chosen the job when he was 30 something but he wanted so much more. He wanted to see the stars and experience the universe. He got a TARDIS soon after from a deceased member of his house. Q and his TARDIS bonded very quickly and now, a year after being given the keys, he is finally going to experience the universe. Who knows what awaits him?

During most of the Time War Q was a student. He took notice of course but he was never asked to fight in the war. Near the end of the war he fled the planet after seeing parts of his world destroyed.
