Name: Romanadvoratrelundar
Nicknames include "Romana" a name of which was given to her by the Fourth Doctor. Initially she did not enjoy this name, although it grew on her. Romana had given a witty response to a statement that the Doctor made by saying "Call me Fred." Although the Doctor had ignored that comment and called her Romana much to her dislike.
Age: Approximately around one-hundred and forty years when first giving her age to the Doctor, after regeneration the number was lowered to one-hundred and twenty-five years. Quick to correct the Doctor on his age, with a comment along the lines of "756? You're 759, or are you starting to loose your memories to old age?" By the end of the time war, she was closer to two-hundred some odd years.
Species:Gallifreyan; sub-species TimeLord Lady.
Planet of Origin: Gallifrey
Occupation: After the Academy Romanadvoratrelundar spent some time with the Bureau of Ancient Records. After that, she became a traveller. Even later, Romana climbed her way up to a seat of power in the Gallifreyan government.
Physical Description: In her original body, Romana was relatively tall, with a full frame, curves in all the right places. Her hair was a chestnut brown and fell in loose curls to just below the shoulder. Her fringe was grown out so it was nonexistent and framed the sides of her face. Her skin tone was a pale ivory and her eyes were an icy blue ringed with darker blue at the edge of her iris. By her second form she had taken on the appearance of the princess Astra of Atrios. Her frame was much thinner, although she had a rounder, more youthful face. In this body, her hair was a dark blonde with an almost ginger tint. it was longer, about down to her shoulder blades and straightened, again with no fringe. Her eyes were blue still, and her skin tone was a slightly tanner tone, but still rather pale. By the Time War, Romana had regenerated once more and held a much harsher persona. Her hair, normally long was styled short in a bob, and her fringe was cut above her brow and was straight across her forehead. Her skin tone was pale as ivory in contrast to her ebony locks.
Personality: Originally, Romanadvoratrelundar, was a bit of a know-it-all, and was not afraid to correct people whom had misstated any sort of information. Be it personal or not. She held a bit of a superiority complex at times and it showed with how she carried herself as she travelled. This changed as she realised that academic intelligence and experience may be great, but even if one is highly intelligent that without experience, there is still much to be learnt. From a young age, Romana was a bit of an ice-queen and by being so eventually was left in solitude at the Academy, although she preferred it that way. By the end of the search for the Key to Time, she'd gained an even greater sense of maturity.
This lead her to decision to regenerate. In her second body, she was more likely to be open-minded and cheerful. She could still have a temper at times, but was over all easy to get along with. In fact, while occasionally arguing with the Doctor, they grew closer and she was less and less of a by-the-book person. She had a strong will although she was prone in both of her forms to be a bit of a damsel in distress. She was still highly intellectual.
Enduring twenty years of torture made the young Time Lady realise how soft she'd become and so she regenerated again to take on a more harsh outlook on things. She was more mature, and took her rule with a strong mind. She in this form had taken on the title of Lady President and War Queen of the Nine Gallifreys.
History: She was born in to the ancestral house of Heartshaven, one of the sub branches of the House of Lungbarrow on Gallifrey. She attended the Time Lord Academy while Braxiatel was a tutor there. She disliked the Academy and believed her class-were jealous because of her "effortless academic superiority" and was called “The Ice Maiden".
The White Guardian originally assigned her to assist the Doctor during the quest for the Key to Time, having appeared to her as the Lord President of Gallifrey. Shemet the Doctor near the age of 140. She found him to be quiet daft and lacking in intelligence. However as they searched for the various pieces of the Key to Time she had come to respect the Doctor for his greater experience and knowledge versus her stoic academic credentials.
Following the completion of the Key to Time mission, she chose not to immediately return to Gallifrey. The Doctor and Romana shared a few more adventures together. Then, she regenerated taking on the appearance of Princess Astra of Atrios, who had been the sixth and final segment of the Key.
The Doctor protested that she had no right to assume the likeness of another person, so she went briefly through other alternative forms, only to settle back on Astra's. She also initially chose a style of dress that mimicked the Doctor's, a hint of her sense of humour. The two had become relatively close friends.
After forgetting all about the matter, the Doctor received a message from the Time Lords requesting (or rather, ordering) him to return Romanadvoratrelundar to their home, to Gallifrey . Now that she had helped him find the segments to the Key to Time, which had been long over and they wanted her back. She, having tasted the life of adventure with the Doctor, and having bonded with him, clearly made it known that she didn't want to go back. En route, the Doctor's TARDIS entered a Charged Vacuum Emboitment, left their N-Space and entered another, smaller universe known as E-Space . During that time a lot of things changed, including meeting a young Alzarian boy named Adric, meeting Vampires, and she eventually met Biroc. She made the decision to stay with Biroc and helped free the Tharils, a race of feline humanoids alongside her ever faithful compantion, K-9 mark II.
Eventually she returned to N-Space and to Gallifrey, where she climbed up to the Presidency. Soon after taking office, however, she was abducted by the Daleks and spent more than two decades in captivity before finally escaping with the aid of the Doctor, now in his sixth incarnation. Upon returning to Gallifrey, she resumed my position as president.
Through her time as president she intiated diplomatic relations with the Daleks, and the Act of Master Restitution was signed, which was a peace treaty. Sometime prior to the destruction of Gallifrey, she regenerated once more and was much more ruthless, and she was less kind towards the Doctor. She never was one to be fond of the humans, although she did enjoy the time she spent in Paris during her second form.
Additional medical information No aditional medical information known. As all the people of Gallifrey, she has two hearts.
