Saflan blinked. "Ah, yeah." He looked at Irkk, then back at the police officer. "Where is the nearest office of the Bureau of Navigation?"
"The Cardiff offices, sir. I'll need to take your statement first, though."
Saflan looked at officer, then at Irkk, then back at the officer. "All right, then. But make it quick. I'm in a hurry."
Fifteen minutes later, Irkk and Saflan exited the building. "Companion?" Saflan was saying. "Irkk's companion? Makes me sound like a slaggin' prostitute, that does."
Irkk said nothing. He checked monitor readouts, and focused on driving while Saflan continued to rant. Finally, he interrupted his Second Mate. "Saf-lan?"
"Yes, Cap'n?"
"Be si-lent. We will re-turn to the Sly-ther. There is an ac-ces-sory module I will mount on my travel ma-chine, and then we will go to Car-diff."
There was a flicker of light, as the transmat beam caught them.

The professor landed in tardis, on the rift. His tardis needed fueling, so he thought it would be a good idea to go for a walk. His hair had been growing, and he was also in need of a drink. Either that, or he would just have to drink something that for humans was not alcoholic, but for time lords it was.

Aboard the Slyther, four light minutes from Earth, above the plane of the ecliptic...
"I have had enough of subt-el-ty, Saf-lan." The electronic voice of a Dalek didn't sound happy or friendly at the best of times. Now? Now Irkk's voice held a hint of anger above and beyond its normal grating menace. The other Daleks in the conference room shifted slightly, readying themselves for action.
Saflan smiled. He was an oddity, the only humanoid in a war room full of Daleks. "Allright, Cap'n. Shall I start issuing weapons to the crew?"
"Yes. Pick ten of your best. Full space armor, with per-so-nal shields. Issue e-lec-tron shred-ders and gluon ex-cit-ers. Ac-quai-nt them with the like-ness of this 'Pro-fes-sor'. He is to be ex-ter-min-at-ed on sight."
"EX-TER-MIN-ATE!" echoed the other Daleks, "EX-TER-MIN-ATE!"
"You have your orders, Saf-lan."
"I obey," Saflan responded. He stood, and left the room.
Irkk's eyestalk swiveled to take in the room. "We are face-ing a Time Lord who has sur-viv-ed the Time War. Take stan-dard pre-cau-tions. We will have the data we seek! We will find Spi-ro-don! The Dalek Empire - MY Dalek Empire - will rise again!"

The professor went into an alleyway, and typed in temporal co-ordinates for the roof of the cardiffs office. He wondered if Irkk would come there. The professor had taken the liberty of bringing a small personal shield with him, which could withstand 10 laser bursts all at once. After his last encounter with Irkk, he knew he would need it. He hit the teleport button and teleported to the top of the building.

Cardiff...
Transmat beams flickered, delivering a payload of menace. In regular intervals around the Cardiff offices of the Bureau of Navigation, figures materialized. Five humanoids, wearing heavy armor of space and surrounded by flickering energy screens. One Dalek, extra equipment pods mounted to port and starboard. The four teams went to work. Within moments, a powerful energy screen surrounded the building.
More transmat beams flickered. Within the office, a dozen figures materialized. Guns were raised, menacing the employees. One of the figures spoke, voice weirdly distorted. "We require a memory dump of all of your navigational data. Now!"

The professor watched through the sky light as he typed in co-ordinates, and teleported into the office. He grinned as he aimed the sonic screwdriver and said "Boo hoo." He activated the screwdriver, and 3 computers exploded. The others sparked, and the professor said "Oh, Irkk, the gate waits for our first encounter. My first encounter with you." He had activated the shield before he teleported in.

The Professor grinned as he aimed the sonic screwdriver and said "Boo hoo." He activated the screwdriver, and 3 computers exploded. The others sparked.
Or, at least, that was the plan. As the sonic screwdriver activated, the expected high-pitched shriek came forth instead as a low, atonal warbling. The ill-tuned frequency failed to have any effect on the computers at all.
The Dalek in the room, encased in a scarlet and emerald travel machine, whirled in the direction of the explosion of air. "A-cous-tic baff-les, Time Lord," he screeched in a weird, distorted voice. "We are fa-mil-iar with your tricks, and are pre-pared"
The others, humanoids in space armor, brought up heavy weapons of their own. "Ex-ter-min-ate him!"
Meanwhile, in the New York Office of the Bureau of Navigation...
"May I help you?" asked the clerk.
"Yes," replied Saflan. "I need to see if you have any navigational charts for a planet named Spiridon."
The clerk tapped at her computer. "No, no, I'm afraid not. Not under that name. Are there any unusual astronomical or planetological characteristics about the region? I could search for it that way."
"It does," grated Irkk. "It has a pla-net-ary core of a-mor-phous ice."
(OOC: Obviously, I won't do something like this too often. But Daleks are smart, and they did have a chance to prepare...)

The professor grinned as the laser beams reflected of him, as he had activated the personal shield before teleporting in. He said "Ok, so your prepared." The professor then said "Irkk, i'm one of the last few time lords. Your one of the last few daleks. The universe is much more dangerous, ever since the time lords were destroyed. Change one fixed point, we are all gonna die."

The Dalek in the crimson and emerald travel machine watched as the energy beams from the pirate weapons deflected from the Professor's defensive screens.
"Im-pres-sive," he screeched, voice still distorted by the acoustic baffles. "But point-less. Let me ex-plain."
"First, I am not Irkk. I am Cho-vek. Irkk is not pres-ent."
"Sec-ond, we do not fear par-a-dox. We are Daleks. We do not fear."
"Third," and here he gestured with the manipulator arm of his travel machine, a wicked collection of razor-sharp scythe blades that hummed and gleamed with an evil purple light, "this is a power claw, and it is cap-a-ble of dis-emb-owl-ing a drash-ig."
"Fourth, e-nough talk!" The crimson and emerald travel machine hurtled towards the Professor, meson ram radiating his defensive screens into the ultraviolet. "It is time your kind were fin-a-lly ex-term-in-at-ed!"
Meanwhile, in the New York Office of the Bureau of Navigation...
"We have planetary surveys of three rocky worlds with amorphous ice cores," the clerk reported. "One of them appears to be habitable without substantial modification, although it is was deemed unsuitable for colonization."
"That's it," replied Saflan, "It has to be. May I have the coordinates?"
"Certainly," replied the clerk. She tapped a few buttons, and produced a small thimble of crystalline material. "The standard fee is 200 FedCreds."
Saflan handed over the coins, and took the thimble. "Thank you," he said, his ugly face split with what he hoped was a cheerful grin.
"You have a wonderful day," said the clerk.
"Oh, we will."
Irkk signaled the Slyther, and the flicker of a transmat beam removed them both from the office.

The professor dived to the side, and aimed his gun at the computers. He took 6 pot shots, aiming rapidly, and trying to destroy the computers. He then slammed the hand onto his vortex manipulator, and he yelled before he teleported "I'll stop you daleks!" He then teleported into his tardis, landing beside the control console, groaning in pain.

Chovek's monocular stalk stared at the purple-sheened claw, watching the reddish-orange blood of the Time Lord sizzle and smoke on the power field. It had been a bare, tantalizing strike - a scratch, really - and it frustrated him that it had not been a solid blow.
"Tele-por-tat-ion anch-or," his voice snarled, "Who was res-pon-sible for the tele-por-tat-ion anch-or?"
The pirates in the room shuffled uneasily. Chovek was not Irkk. Irkk was willing to see reason, if there was a good reason. But Chovek?
Chovek was dangerous.
Before he could get a reply, a light on his console indicated an incoming transmission from the Slyther. "Cho-vek," he grated.
"We have the co-ord-in-ates," Irkk informed him.
"I under-stand. What are your or-ders?"
There was a pause. "Leave no wit-ness-es."
If Chovek's twisted, cancerous face could have smiled, it would have. "I obey!"
He swiveled the travel machine, calculating trajectories. Ex-ter-min-ate!" he grated, unleashing a blast from his fusion ram. "There are to be no sur-vi-vors!" A veritable hailstorm of fusion fire slashed out. "Ex-te-min-ate! Ex-ter-min-ate! EX-TER-MIN-ATE!!"
With the enthusiasm of men spared a death sentence, the pirates joined in.
Saflan spun his chair to look at Irkk. "Did you... did you just tell him to kill everyone?"
"Does that off-end you, Mate Saf-lan?"
The pirate shrugged. "No, not really. I just thought we were trying to keep a low profile."
"We have what we came here for," Irkk responded. "It does us no harm to allow Cho-vek his little en-ter-tain-ments."

The professor launched the tardis into the vortex, furiously working, planning on finding a way to stop Irkk from doing what ever it was he was planning to do. He ripped the sleeve off of his black jacket, and wrapped it around his wound. He landed the tardis on a building, as he ran towards the wardrobe room. He quickly took off his shirt and jacket, and wrapped his wound with the sleeve. He then grabbed a blue t-shirt on, and then grabbed an army jacket, and put it on. he ran back to the console room, and launched his tardis into space, planning to scan around the earth if he could.

(OOC: Irkk's ship is about four light minutes from Earth. He and his crew have been using transmat beams to get around. Feel free to modify your post, if that changes your plans.)
