Shaeman stayed silent during the quick exchange between Kos and the newcomer, glancing between them as each spoke. As the human's hand reached behind him, she stiffened, her gaze locked on the movement, a discreet movement that suggested that he didn't want anyone to see it. She took another couple of steps back, into the shadows of the alleyway. Just the tone that Kos seemed to be using, and the reactions to the name Torchwood set her on edge. She glanced behind her. No way of escaping that way. Not without being caught before getting to the top of the chainlink fencing. The mouth of the alley was already blocked by the newcomer. She was obviously in rival pack territory. Not a good thing. Her mother had always told her to stay out of other packs' territory or it could mead to fights. Shaeman chewed her lip nervously, trying to figure out how to handle the situation.

Together? No, no, just casual acquaintances. Two individuals, trapped in similar circumstances.
Two individuals, two different rifts Owen thought that was new. The rift activity had never ceased to amaze Torchwood. There was always something weird going on. Deep in Owen’s instinct in his stomach, there was something dark and wrong here when the dark man asked about Jack. It was the way how he said it. It was not a friendly way but a mocking way.
He yanked his gun, pointed his gun at the man and he was aiming his gun. It was a gut feeling. [/blockquote]

Shaeman yelped as the newcomer pulled out a weapon. It wasn't like anything she had seen before, blocky and black. Panic started to overcome her mind. Fearing for the lives of the scruffy strays that made up her pack as well as Kos, the girl swiftly morphed into her wolf form. Her hackles were raised, fur fluffed up in an attempt to make herself seem bigger. Her lips pulled back in a snarl and a growl echoing from deep in her throat, Shaeman leapt towards the newcomer, aiming to at least knock him flat, to establish herself as the alpha by dominating the man with the weapon.

Owen jerked his head at the wolf that used to be a young lady. “Woa,” Owen was surprised. It was hard for him to accept that the young woman was now a mean sneering wolf. He was to slow to try to point the gun to her as she slammed on to him. He fell on the hard concrete, holding his hands to cover his face. He did not want to be clawed at.

((BTW, I don't like you Master, IC, of course.))
The General suddenly caught scent of something, was it blood? It had to be. It was coming from the same direction he was going, so he started to run, as he got closer, he noticed someone, pinned down, by a wolf? That must be the shape-shifter, and, is that.. Owen? Owen, what have you done this... he stopped mentally and physically, looking up at the man in the alleyway, there was something funny about him, like he'd seen him before, like he knew him....
He snapped back to attention, and pulled out a laser pistol from his pocket, of course, to the normal eye, it looked like any pistol, apart from the one red light on the side of it, but he put it back in his pocket, there were other dogs with the shape-shifter, he wouldn't have a chance.
He pulled out a small green ball, he looked at it, This is my only one, well, if it hits it, it will change back into it's original form, so I better not miss.... He threw the small green ball at the creature, he clenched his fists, this would get worse if it went wrong.

The newcomer - the extremely pale, apparently not respiring newcomer - pulled a gun. Kos had expected that, was prepared for that.
The Shifter - at the risk of belaboring the obvious - shifted. Kos had both expected and prepared for that as well.
What he hadn't expected was for the Shifter to assault the newcomer. He wasn't upset, of course. It saved him the effort, after all.
"Well done, my dear, well done," he applauded. "Now, why don't we have-"
Something green flew by in his peripheral vision. By sheer reflex he snatched it out of the air with his free hand, and looked back along the ball's trajectory. "Now what?" he asked, a peevish note of exasperation in his voice.

Shaeman didn't claw at Owen. She simply lowered her muzzle, gently clamping her jaws around his neck. Not hard enough to break the skin, but enough to make sure he felt it. After a few heartbeats, she let go of Owen's neck, returning to her pack, morphing back into human form. She had noticed yet another newcomer who smelt similar to Kos. She crept round to stand closer to Kos, finding some sort of comfort in his presence faced with the two strangers, both of whom had either thrown something at her or drawn a weapon.

Owen could not feel the wolf around his neck but he feared she bite him. That would break his neck. He was not sure that would kill him. He would be stuck with a broken neck. He did not move. He was glad he did not have to breathe because he had no breath.
The wolf moved away and she gone near the African man. He brought his hand up to his neck to feel it and forgot he could not feel the Rassilon thing. He could not tell if he had a mark. He had to look on that. He turned to see General.
Owen slowly got back to his feet holding the gun to the ground. He was not putting it away. He was not sure he had to use it.
"Torchwood is to help you," he said. He was thinking that did not sound convincing after pulling your gun out on them.

Kos smiled a dark little smile as Shaeman returned to his side, but he continued to glare at the new figure silhouetted in the lamplight. It was familiar, dangerously familiar.
"Torchwood is to help you," Owen said.
"Really?" Kos said with overexaggerated surprise. "Help me? Help me?" The green ball danced on and over his hand and stopped, perched on his fingertips. "Help me with this, perhaps? Or was this intended to help this lovely young Shifter here?"
He paused to let that sink in. "Now, why don't we let your associate introduce himself as well, Ianto? Or are you Owen? Jack was never particularly good at descriptions."

That voice, the way he spoke, it was so famili...His blood froze as he realised who it was.
He could only make out one word, it was spoken with pure hate.
"You."
The General almost pulled out his laser pistol and shot him right away, but that would make him no better than he was.

"You." The hate in the voice spoke volumes.
The thin, dark smile broadened into genuine delight, showing white teeth brilliant against Kos' dark skin. His eyes twinkled.
"Me," he laughed, doing a little pirouette. "Who else would I be?"
He cocked his head to one side, then the other, appraising the tall figure. "And that's a new look for you, Yadshuysajda." He held a finger to his pursed lips in exaggerated shock. "I'm sorry. I meant General. Of course I meant General. I would never fail to show respect to the great and glorious General!"
From the corner of his mouth he addressed Shaeman. "My dear, no doubt at any moment he will tell you to: Kneel. Before. Yad!"
Dead silence.
"Oh, come on. Did nobody else here watch Superman II? Really?"

"I've changed, besides, it's not exactly like i've got an army to command, how do ya feel about that Kosh... Master? The Time Lords, undefeatable, Huh, well, at least Emmehujidat's gone." The General said.

Shaeman glanced between the three men, unable to understand what was going on. Her eyes locked on the green ball Kos was playing with. Ball... Chase ball, catch ball, throw ball... Play!
Shaeman morphed back into her wolf shape, tail wagging hard. Her eyes couldn't leave the sphere in Kos' hand. She jumped, neatly snapping the ball from the air. Only then did she realise that it wasnt an ordinary ball, but rather some sort of enchanted or futuristic device that left her as a rather strange looking teenager with a ball in her mouth sitting in the same position as a dog would. She dropped the ball, coughing nervously and standing up, not dring to look away from her feet.

The young lady morphed in a wolf, playfully stole the green ball from the one name the Master. The Master and General seemed be enemies of some sort. Owen had never heard anything about the Master.
"I am Owen, Doctor Owen Harper," said Owen to the Master.
He wasn’t sure what to do. The General, Owen did not know too much. He was a time lord and this Master must be another on. The young teenager girl with the green ball did not seem to be with the Master.
Owen was the one with the gun. The gun seemed to get people attention. Nobody else had a gun. He could force the ‘Master’ and the young teenager to go to Torchwood. This was one of the worst positioned Owen was in.
He had waited to see what will happen next. For once he was not who he could trust. Plus he did not want to be injured. The Master said My dear, no doubt at any moment he will tell you to: Kneel. Before. Yad!"
That had now made Owen wonder who the hell is General. The name sounded militant.

Kos blinked as the Shifter took the green ball from his hand, and immediately reverted to her gallifreyoid form. She's fast. Very fast. I'll have to remember that. Carefully. Then he grinned. At least I know it wasn't a grenade, now.
"I am Owen, Doctor Owen Harper," said Owen to the Master.
Kos didn't bother to take his eyes from the General. "Well. Now I have a face to put to one of the names from Jack's stories. Now be quiet, Doctor Owen Harper. The grownups are talking."
"I've changed, besides, it's not exactly like i've got an army to command, how do ya feel about that Kosh... Master? The Time Lords, undefeatable, huh, well, at least Emmehujidat's gone." The General said.
"Undefeatable?" Kos echoed, mockingly. "We shouldn't air our dirty laundry in front of the lesser races," he said, shifting into High Gallifreyan. "Now, undefeatable? We are talking about the same Time Lords that were humiliated by a single troop carrier full of Sontarans, aren't we? I suppose that I'm disappointed that I wasn't the one to conquer them, but life is full of disappointments."
"On the other hand, you say that Emmehujidat is dead? Truly? Was it painful? Tell me his death was painful."
