Space is mostly empty. Empty, still and dark. Even the numerous comets only slipped past once in a very great while.
Then there are the variables, such as spaceships. Most serenly travel from one planet or galaxy to another like huge migrating lemmings with just a few speedier craft slipping about.
Then suddenly there was a craft like the one crazily zomming about, barely missing the asteroids and space junk. One would think the pilot was drunk but in truth the pilot was just inexperienced and scared to death.
"No no NOO!" The alien being resembling a large Earth species known as the tokay scrabbled at the controls, pulling any lever she could reach and pushing any buttons she could find. "The stabilizer! The stabilizer I cannot find!! Nooo!"
She looked up at the viewscreen and her eyes widened even larger. Looming up was the planet she had been trying to fly around. Her small ship had been snared in its gravitational pull and now she was doomed. She had no idea how to escape from her fate and she sunk onto the floor of her spacecraft, moaning. She couldn't close her eyes so she covered them with her hands.
"Ohhhh going to die, I am! And to mourn for me no-one! No-one!"

Suddenly, A blue box appeared in the middle of the bridge, a man stepped out, and said.
"Oh, am I a bit late? Oh, no, good, come on," he said grabbing the girl's reptilian hand.

"Huh..wha..?" Osty was starled by a hand taking hers and pulling her into a strange craft that had appeared in her own. Instead of being in a burning up ship she found herself in a large white room with a console control in the middle. Next to that was a tall thin lifeform with longish blond fur on its head but a pleasent looking face. "D-dead I am?" she quavered, uncertain. "Th-the LifeAfter this is?"

"Hmm? Oh, no, no, no, you arn't dead, in fact, I just saved you! Well I will once we get out of here," The Doctor said propping the girl up on a chair in the console room, he went over to the console and pressed a few buttons on the console.
"Hello, I'm the Doctor, do you need a drink of water, anything?" he said looking over at the girl.

Osty was still prodding herself, trying to believe that she had indeed escaped being burnt up in the nearby planet's atmosphere. At his question she finally regained enough control over herself to answer. "My thanks to you, Doctor. Saved my life, you have and in your debt I now am. Ostyoststryx my name is. Water? Please!"
She looked around and licked her eyes in amazement at what she saw. "Simple, this spaceship is, but powerful, if escape from that gravity you can. Am a Tylythyn from Turusia. You are...?"

The Doctor pulled a lever, and then they were in the Time Vortex,
"It's called a TARDIS," The Doctor said, pouring Osty a glass of water from the recently aquired water cooler, "me? I'm a Time Lord, from Gallifrey."
The Doctor gave the glass of water to Osty and said,
"So, how did you get yourself in that mess?"

"Oh," Osty took the glass then looked down at the floor ashamed. "Wanted to see if I could fly a ship, took many lessons in classroom but boring they are! So many times to watch film, use fake control boards, write numbers in notebooks. Why not just do? So.......snuck out, did I. Saw one craft at end of spacelock, all alone. No guard, no-one. So took it, I did."
She gulped the water down and sighed. "Just a short trip I wanted. Then return and no-one the wiser I thought. But ship was strange, not the same as in class." She sighed again. "Big trouble I am in now, yes? Take me back home, to authorities now will you. Be arrested now, because stole ship. Ship now gone, cannot pay. No career in space for me. Work only in low jobs." A tear began to trickle down her muzzle.

"Haha, I learn on the job, i'm still discovering stuff about this ship, I wouldn't take you to your authorities, no, how about you come with me, we can travel anywhere we want, all of Time and Space, everywhere you could possibly imagine,"
I hope Tegan and Nyssa are having a good time.

"T-travel? In space?" Osty could hardly believe what she was hearing. "At last, in space I can go? But wait." The pupils in her eyes widened to dark stripes in her colden eyes. "S-slaver you are??? Sell m-me to a-another you will? N-no! Not that! P-please!"
She got up from her chair and went into a defensesive crouch. Baring her tiny but numerous sharp teeth she tried to appear as fierce as possible but her heart was hammering. "I-I will f-fight!"

No, I despise slavers, and they despise me, I am a traveller, I fix planets, I save people, actually i've freed a few slaves in my time, but I am certainly not a slaver, " The Doctor said to the now defensive Osty.

Her eyes lit up once more and the golden orbs whirled slightly in her excitement. Fix planets? Save people? Never heard of such as you have I! Have no tales, no songs of you anywhere?"

The Daleks! Even one as young as Osty had heard of the Daleks, there were few worlds that had avoided their deadly touch. Her eye pupils narrowed and she hissed.
"Yessssss, heard of Daleks I have. Disspicable creatures they are. You fight them? Then powerful you must be! They are terrible foes! The tales I hear, they make hatchlings mewl and old one shudder. Where are they now, do you know? To fight them I also wish!"
Her crest shot up with the excitement and eagerness of the young, Osty could only imagine returning to her own world as a distinguished fighter, a destroyer of Daleks! Surely the destuction of a paltry space vessel would be over-looked then!

"Outwit them?" Osty tilted her head, puzzled. For her outwitting an opponent was something one did in games. "But prove you fought them how can you? Gather trophies to show? Brag how strong a fighter you are? No firepower? How defend yourself you do here?" Her crest fell back a little as she gazed about the room. "Just a planet transport this is? To a bigger ship, yes?"
