The Doctor frowned slightly, rubbing his hands together. He had shut his mouth. That wasn't that unusual. But it seemed like he was only silent for a moment before the others in the room began firing off questions and replies faster than he could process them. The General was trying to send him something, Clara had made a comment, Tyler was most likely offended (he never could tell with human emotions), and who knows what else.
He started to turn away and continue his pacing, but he thought better of it, holding up a finger as he addressed Tyler. "One- of course there's such a thing as a stupid question; you just asked one. Two- to answer your stupid question, whenever I feel like it. Three- of course you alie- humans have never known about us. It'd start a planet-wide panic attack! And we can't have that, now can we? Four- you should probably know something..." He thought for a moment. "....whatever-your-name-is." The Doctor took a step closer to Tyler, patting him cheerily on the cheek. "I am a madman with a police box that can fly. Okay? Good boy. I like you." He flashed what he hoped the others thought of as a winning smile.
Pivoting on his heel, the Doctor faced the General. "Positively no idea, earthly or otherwise. I've never been good at charades," he remarked before spinning to face James.
"Don't look so confused. It makes your mouth go all-" he dragged the corners of his lips down with his fingers, making a groaning noise. The Doctor wrinkled his nose. "It's not attractive. You'll never impress Miss Fancy-TARDIS that way." One hand gestured to Clara vaguely. "And, yes; I'm an odd one. Thank you!"
With a sigh of relief, the Doctor made a sort of imploring gesture at his fellow Time Lords. "Phew! So much talking; glad that's over. Can we go? Now?"

Tyler continued moving towards what he hoped was the door to the outside. Just as he was about to go through it, he glanced back at the Doctor and announced to him, "Oh, right...my name is Tyler...Tyler Smith...I guess I forgot to tell you that earlier."
He still didn't like this Doctor fellow. He didn't appreciate being patted on the cheek like that, nor did he appreciate the alien's attitude. He wasn't even going to ask about the police box, afraid if he asked the man any more questions, he would be insulted and humiliated.
(Eleven, I'm going to send you a PM about something)

Clara smiled. This Doctor fellow certainly had a way about him. "Police box? Your chameleon circuit shot too?"
James frowned. He really didn't like this Doctor now.

Tyler stepped out of the wardrobe, not having any idea what a chameleon circuit was. Too afraid to ask, he remained silent. Why did that Doctor alien man have to be so -- so annoying?
Maybe he could ask Clara about that chameleon circuit at a later time. For now, he would just wait for them outside of the wardrobe. Finding the entire situation very weird, he didn't fancy the idea of going back inside that weird box. Still not entirely certain he could trust Clara about the inhaler thing, he just stood there. He took it out of his pocket and looked at it, waiting for the others to come out as well.

Clara smiled. "It doesn't matter. Let's get going."
James eagerly left to join Tyler. "I really don't like him."

Tyler glanced at the only other human around and nodded at James in agreement. "Neither do I....he's not the nicest person I've ever met -- very rude and not exactly nice."
Tyler glanced down at the inhaler again and then asked James, "Is this thing really safe?"
He stood there at the side of the TARDIS waiting for the Doctor and whomever else was planning on coming. Glad that Clara was there, he relaxed slightly. She was at least a nice alien...or appeared to be. The General seemed all right, too.

"I mean, maybe he means well, but he makes my skin crawl," James said. He stood outside, waiting for Clara. He really didn't like how Clara seemed to like him. He fiddled with a ring on his finger.

Tyler nodded, "Yeah...I know what you mean." Glancing at the ring on James' finger, he asked, "So what's the ring for?"
He could tell that something was bothering the other man -- something very much bothering him. "What's wrong....." he asked James. "I mean...I know that Doctor guy is...rude...but it looks like something deeper than that could be bothering you."
Glancing at the man closely, he looked right into his eyes.

James looked at Tyler, then down at the ring on his right ring finger. "I'm engaged..." That answered both his questions in a way. The way Clara liked the Doctor...

(we need you in school days -- we need Kyra to answer the registration person and then get her over to the library....and we need the Librarian in her garden)
Tyler glanced back at James, his eyes widening in recognition. If James was engaged, it would probably be with Clara...and Clara was with the Doctor still, inside her strange looking wardrobe. He then glanced back at the ring. Thinking it unusual that a man would wear an engagement ring, Tyler voiced this out loud. He didn't mean to be condescending or mean about it. He was just surprised.
"I.....I...never heard of a man having an engagement ring. Wedding rings, yes...but not engagement rings. Interesting. What gave you the idea?"
Tyler had no lover of his own, although he kept on thinking about a woman that he would often dream of. He referred to her as his dream girl, although he didn't think that any such person existed.

The Doctor looked mildly sheepish. "Yes; busted last time I..." He modeled out the ground with his left hand and his TARDIS with the right. He let his hands collide, saying, "Boom!" The Doctor paused, looking between Clara and his hands, letting them fall back to his side. "Last time I crashed. It's hardly as pretty as yours from the outside, but mine has a pool. Pools are cool."
The Time Lord kept talking with his hands, gesturing at the door, then shaking a strand of hair from his face, then finally tucking his thumbs into his trouser pockets. "Your friend's waiting. We should probably go; they don't look too happy. Can't think why. Just a little like: rowr." He growled softly and raised his eyebrows at Clara, going over to the door. With a flourish the Doctor leaned up against it dramatically. "You want to go first?" He asked, inspecting the dirt under his fingernails.
He wondered absently how it got there. He hadn't been near dirt lately, had he?

Clara chuckled lightly at him. "Thanks. Yeah, I better get out to him. He can be so insecure sometimes, but it's cute."
*** James looked at his hand. "It was mine. I thought that it wouldn't be equal treatment if Clara had to have a symbol of non-availability and I didn't."

Tyler nodded at James, "Yeah....wish I had a girlfriend right now...."
He sighed. He hadn't been very lucky with women, most of them thinking him too smart for him or too...something else. In all honesty, as he got to know some of them better, he was just as repulsed by them. He hoped that he would meet a girl someday -- one that was like the woman he often dreamed about. In her dreams, she was called Kyra, his ideal woman.
